Minato and Itachi: Analysis

IMO: BM Minato > Edo Itachi > Base Minato = Healthy Itachi > Sick Itachi

Pretty sure that BM Edo Minato merks Itachi.

On the other hand, most of the logical side of the fandom who doesn't spend their free time making troll threads for attention does believe that Itachi beats alive Minato high-diff... I'll go with that, since I've seen better arguments and it's more believable.

As for the blitzing nonsense- Minato hasn't ever defeated any significant shinobi that way. And, that's worse logic than saying Itachi catches him in genjutsu and takes him out (since Itachi has actually done that before and Minato is known to look directly into an Uchiha's eyes every time and was entirely ignorant in regards to the Uchiha clan, even to their disdain towards Konoha... and Itachi's genjutsu is known to take form of the surroundings, so the opponent doesn't know they're in it until he decides to change.) Itachi fans are more logical in that way.

However, I highly doubt that this fight would be short (meaning alive versions; edo Minato takes a few seconds to win lol), and it would be really interesting to see.

Itachi's stamina isn't that bad given he used some of the most chakra-taxing techs in the series and mastered katon at age 5... Kakashi mentioned that adults have trouble mastering that with the chakra they have. His chakra levels were well above average, just not ridiculous. Not like it's ever been a problem in the first place, since he's one of the most conservative with his techs and takes no enjoyment fighting... tending to end it quick.

And as for characterization- yes Itachi is a better character if you're looking for depth. And, he has a better character design. Not trying to generalize here, but I've noticed on polls that if guys vote on their character designs, Minato wins by a landslide, but if girls vote- then Itachi wins. I guess each gender perceives them differently in terms of looks, personally- they both look cool to me.

Btw, if anyone actually took the time to read all of this text... I'm not replying to any fanboyism. Or even any reply, since I pretty much said all I wanted to say. I laughed at any Itachi fan who said he neg-diffs alive Minato and any Minato fanboy who said his alive version neg-diffs Itachi. Far from it.

Well, it was nice looking at all the fanboyism in the comments and gave me a good laugh.^^ It'll be more fun when NB has less troll threads like these imo. U_U
