I'm still holding to the belief that Zoro is keeping his eye closed for the same reasons some pirates wore eye patches back in the day. So they could keep that eye adapted to the dark. Other than that I can't really see a reason why he would keep his eye closed (Unless he's lost it)

Revealing some weird eye or something would be incredibly stupid IMO.

So true. I really hope that doesn't happen, even if the possibility of it occurring is slim.

His right eye is always open.Oda covered his left eye in the last panel.

Go re-read the pages, he has both eyes shut thinking of a plan then "opens" and his right eye opens. I thought the same thing you did, which is why I had to re-read it, but I'm pretty sure "Opens" or "Open" wasn't supposed to be dialogue it was supposed to be action writing.

You'll also notice he magically has his headband on at the end of the chapter so make of that what you will. Maybe he's "opening" Asura since his bandana always signifies badass time.

Why did he cover his left eye?

Well I don't believe he will open his eye but still xD

It is an action word but it was written inside a speech bubble for some reason which would lead to the confusion.

See, it's very rare that action words get translated let alone put in a speech bubble. Look at the panels above they all have a lot of action words written on the page but none in bubbles, ease up.
