Double Rinnegan Madara, the most powerful enemy ever faced was matched up against naruto and sasuke who just got a bunch of cool new powers.

Highlights of that battle:

Madara raining down 20 gigantic meteors like it's nothing

Just when things start to glo up...we get an anticlimax.

The should have shown more, but I think Madara start IF and becoming Kaguya was a better setup. Kishi would have not shown nothing new.

how can you guys be saying this? The Kaguya "arc" sucked.

It didn't to me. Kaguya looked epic, her entrance was cool, and the fight was great. Her powers were overwhelming and I like the Ootsutsuki Clan and Kaguya represented the clan nicely....

I Thought it was funny when Kishi trolled Madara in one panel after he became a JJ.

One does not simply b!ch the greatness of BZ

OMG! A zetsu fan. And here people thought there wasn't such a person.. So much for Madara>Ur favo. Lol

OT: I personally was getting slightly bored of it at the time but once Kaguya came and without a shadow of a doubt, Madara was gone, I regretted my previous thoughts. Madara was my favourite but I began to realize 'why' during that arc.U_U

The War Arc overstayed it's welcome. 4 years and 200+ chapters and the manga still came up short in terms of character development and story.

Kishimoto created Limbo and Amenotajikata. Both of them Rinnegan techniques. He also could have amplified the six paths and or unlocked new techs for them since the Rinnegan's full power could only be shown with Madara who unlocked it. He could have ever combined paths if he wanted. Don't make generalizations when you haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about.

The Madara Revive Arc suck too, including the whole War Arc.

Then why'd you read it?

I would have, but Madara would have ended up defeated anyway. Antagonists never get to win in the end, so battles are all kinda lame anyway. .______.

Lots of main protagonists die in fiction all the time. It's called tragedy and it was the implication Kishimoto was giving for the final fight between Naruto and Sasuke, but JUMP likely made him throw that out the window like they did a million other things.

Okay, name me a manga where the antagonist wins in the end. Lol I think I'd enjoy reading it for some change. But, I'd kinda be spoiled because I'd know how it ends. -_-

Why do you want a manga where the antagonist wins and there's no more story? You a nihilist or anti-social or something? Lols.

Fiction has always aimed at the greater "good" concept winning because it's inspirational and comforting. But if you want to get realistic, there are series where good and evil win back and forth. Star Wars is a good example, as is Berserk.

There was this one anime I watched where the main protagonist wins, but the world is still left in ruin and all the other characters are killed, leaving him alone and in despair. That's about the best one I can think of but I can't remember the name.

Nah, there's just a point of the Antagonist getting beat every, single, time, that it gets repetitive and boring.

Yes, I gotta read Beserk.

What if's. Kishi shown nothing else of the Rinnegan besides Madara's Limbo and Sasuke's technique, which had no explanation of had they obtain these abilities. It only speculation that they awaken by certain user's after receiving Rinnegan.

You can read something and then say you not like it. If I didn't read it, that would be an whole-norther question.
