No it is innate per se, like the libido of animals or lions or bulls in mating season, by arguing that an increase in lust leads to unfavorable outcomes like ruining relationships and such that is appealing ad consequentiam.
It's not an ad consequentiam, it's fact; it happens all of the time, perhaps not to every individual but a lot. The fact the you're arguing that uncontrolled lust doesn't lead to ruin relationships baffles me.
You don't feel the same amount of lust every moment of your life. You feel certain amounts of lust dependent on the situation you're in.
Because you're already making an assumption of unfavourable outcomes, what if a man's great lust is directed to frequently making love to his wife and not cheating, you can make the same argument for wealth, does it entail that if a man has great wealth and power that he will necessarily cheat on his wife?
And you're making the assumption that it doesn't.
Lust has a negative connotation to its meaning for a reason. Countless individuals have cheated and used women because of lustful desire.
Yes every individual feels lust to some degree, but like I said in earlier comments, preying on that lust will only increase it. That's when it becomes dangerous. Those that feel excessive lust are prone to make regretful decisions.
I can even adhere to my own personal experience as support of my argument. I've used women before, which is shameful of me to say. I slept with a girl, taking her virginity away and didn't date her afterwards. This was all because I found her hot.
But looking back at my decisions I can say that I regret them and have caused problems. The reason was because I was lustful and having porn or women exposing themselves in the media only increases that desire.
I know first-hand of the dangers in lust and same goes for the people I know in my own life. Plenty of instances where I've heard people cheat and use women all because they wanted to sleep with them.
No I am arguing that it isn't conditio sine qua non, you were reasoning through ad potentia, therefore you really have no argument against lust ipso facto.
I have no idea what you're argument is anymore.
You went off on how evolution dictates morality and that wasn't even part of my original comment. I already said that I believe in the freedom to do what you like with your body. Whether I believe what you do is right and wrong is a personal preference.
I was merely making a point of how I find it funny that women complain about the consequences of exposing their bodies to the media when it was their decision to do so in the first place.
And the other point was about how it's sickening that trivial matters such as a girl shaking her ass on T.V. gets more attention than the problems that really matter in the world.
So I don't know why you felt the need to go off on a tangent about how everything is ok as long as it's a part of nature.

Problem is that the media can't sell anything without sexualizing the content. People are looking for something that pops in their eyes.

I never said evolution dictates morality, for morality is a social construct, I was referring to sexual desires and its varying degrees based on evolutionary nature. You were talking about mere potentialities of the undesirable effects that can be brought forth by that, and the women themselves who are sexualized do not complain, their female fans also do not complain but idolize them, it is the others (esp. the feminists ) who complain so in that you are making an equivocation.
These days having morals is clouded by making a profit. I can't say I blame anyone though.Exactly. And while I'm against all the sexualization, you think they will stop if it continues to work? Obviously not.
Probably very similar reactions. Any girls will show subtle but obviously thirsty comments, and the guys will be all over the girls picture. There's a sense of maturity that comes with being able to control yourself at times like this.
To be clear, I don't any issues with the female body being shown off in the media, however my biggest issue is that it seems to be the only thing of importance for the media. Hell Kim K is mainly famous for her *** tape with Ray Jay
Another thing to think about young women actually look up to Kim Karadashian and Mily Cirus as role models and I find that disturbing to say the least.
Edit: As Wilds said, *** sells. That's the kind of world we live in.

No what you were saying is that evolution is null to the implications of morality. In your words you said lust was ok because it was a part of human nature.
I was the one who said that not all forms of lust are equal and that not all degrees of lust are positive.
And again, for the fourth time, that was never part of my original comment nor the subject of my intention to argue. Those weren't the points I've originally posted and it was you who felt the need to bring up how it's fine to expose yourself.
But you're talking about social implications of negative consequences which is not singular but multifactorial, lust per se does not make a lecher or a rapist, it can also be caused by childhood trauma, rape, psychiatric conditions, difficulties in the marital setting, etc. you cannot say that lust per se is causative of these things.
Dude I'm not gonna argue this with you anymore. It's seriously making me lose respect for you.
Exactly. And while I'm against all the sexualization, you think they will stop if it continues to work? Obviously not.
