Planetary exploration and colonization.
More toys for the kids to fight over.
We can already clone animals, why not humans? Sure they have a lot of defects and end up dying but we can do it, still. If time travel were to be achieved, it would imply predetermined fate, which is not the case, as we are all given free will to make decisions and choices. (We already know this, as even as much as choosing the clothes we will wear in the morning portrays how we've all got the power to choose) Imagine if you were, to say, go back in time to meet your 'previous self'.. Put yourself in your 'previous self's' shoes and you have a 'future you', going back in time. Now imagine, yourself in the present, a 'future you' goes back to you... Everything that your 'future self' has experienced or done, is what you will do in the distant future sometime.. What has happened to the 'future self' will happen to you too, once the right time comes for that particular situation. You would think, that as your 'future self' is warning you about your future that you need to change, you'd be able to quickly change your decision and it'll be all 'Happily ever after'. This is, however, not the case as a 'future self',already, visiting you shows that one's fate has already been determined the moment they were born.
That can get pretty complicated fast.. Also, time travel is controlling time itself, which is 'playing God'.. Therefore, I'm fairly sure it'll never happen.:hmm:
The clone thing, that's also 'Playing God'.. You can't simply just create another human with the exact features, DNA, attitudes, behaviour, personality, beliefs, etc of an already existing human, or a new human for that matter, unless you were God.
On another note, imagine just a 'copy and paste' machine but for humans. Lol That might work.:snick:
Eh, that's just my two cents. Feel free to have a differing opinion. Lol![]()
Cloning isn't even gonna be a problem because majority of people all ready see it as wrong and clones are people too so they will still have human rights. I don't see how it's that easy to brainwash or why anybody would want to kill me though.
Time travel is fiction. How would you even apply technology to do that? Let alone the theory of it.
I fear being forced to go to war or just war in general. Me becoming what I consider to be a failure in life.
We can already clone animals, why not humans? Sure they have a lot of defects and end up dying but we can do it, still.
I doubt those will ever happen.
... But.. If it were possible, I'd fear people making dinosaurs.(Jurassic Park) Lol
Cloning is already a thing.
But time travel is fundamentally impossible with the known physical laws of the universe.
Time travel would only be possible if people could withstand speeds beyond the speed of light. Which is impossible. Sorry, time travel fanatics.
I fear being unable to find happiness or slipping mentally.
Total loss of religion and morality
haha that cracked me up Lol
What do you fear the most about the future? As in the discoveries that are going to destroy humanity.
The 2 things I fear are cloning and time travel. Just imagine. Someone could make a brainwashed clone of you, kill you, and replace you with the clone and noone would notice the difference. Everyone around you could be fake.
Time travel would allow one to control the entire words by reshaping history how they please. They could change one thing and bam you never existed.
So what do you fear the most in the future?
