Have you seen his Jolly Roger?Shanks isn't a real swordsman. The real swordsman I've seen so far is Mihawk, Zoro and Tashigi.

Seeing as Zoro is the real captain of the Marimo Pirates, who do you think is his first mate?Whatever makes you sleep at night Lol
I like how he still hasn't explained how Shanks isn't a real swordsman, and I guarantee his answer is gonna be Haki.Have you seen his Jolly Roger?
Since when is Zoro the real captain?Seeing as Zoro is the real captain of the Marimo Pirates, who do you think is his first mate?
I figured since rumours leading Urouge to believe he's vice captain means he's vice captain, then this cements him as actual captainSince when is Zoro the real captain?
It's either that or he can fight without his sword if he wants toI like how he still hasn't explained how Shanks isn't a real swordsman, and I guarantee his answer is gonna be Haki.
They were just questioning why he isn't the one worth 30million instead of Luffy because they judged his strength was that abnormal, nothing moreI figured since rumours leading Urouge to believe he's vice captain means he's vice captain, then this cements him as actual captain

"He must be their real captain."They were just questioning why he isn't the one worth 30million instead of Luffy because they judged his strength was that abnormal, nothing more
And again, they were questioning it because of Zoro's strength(that they actually observed directly), questioning if it was a mistake made by the marines. Besides, you're already wrong on something. I don't actually care if he ever get the vice-captain title officially or not. Actually i even prefer it this way, with him being renowned as one world wide without actually receiving the official title, the vice-captain but in the dark, due to his actions and duties to follow"He must be their real captain."
Are you delusional on purpose to hold onto this love for Zoro being the vice captain, or is it an outside defect?

Honorable Mentions/Disqualifications:
Prime Rayleigh-exact strength is unknown but I'd estimate #10 is good
Prime Sengoku-exact strength is unknown but I'd estimate #7 is good
Kong-nothing is known about his strength but I guess #6 is ok
Green Bull-a complete mystery but I'd give him #16
Benn Beckmann-no feats but I'd estimate #18 is good
Sentomaru-not enough feats and a bit bias so I'd say #24
Because he doesn't live and breath the swordsman code n' honor. Hes a swordsman but at the same time he's not. He just has really strong swordsmanship. How is Shanks not a real swordsman?

Doesn't matter. Consistently and regularly uses a sword makes him a swordsman. Just because he might not be as dedicated doesn't make him not a swordsman.Because he doesn't live and breath the swordsman code n' honor. Hes a swordsman but at the same time he's not. He just has really strong swordsmanship.
@bold, so why, if he's got strong swordsmanship, is he not the strongest swordsman in the world? Only answer is Mihawk is strongerExplaining some of my placements
Old Rayleigh is "so low" because he fought on par with Kizaru and was sweating. The sweat can be interpted as being worried for the SHs bit I see it as "low stamina" as he talked about his age.
I see Smoker, Croc and Caesar as being on par with each other. Since I think Smoker can beat Pica, I see Croc and Caeasr winning as well. Smoker and Croc being elusive with their DF powers, Gastille etc..
Because he doesn't live and breath the swordsman code n' honor. Hes a swordsman but at the same time he's not. He just has really strong swordsmanship.
There is no hypocrisie at all. The rumours are actually the one dressing Luffy as the captain(with the bounty on his head even). The baroque works guys were actually the ones not understanding those "rumours" because they couldn't believe the "rumoured captain" deserved that bounty by seeing him in person. Understand now?"He must be their real captain."
"I see. Then let us act accordingly."
The first is a statement, not a question, not a suggestion. It isn't "Maybe he's the real captain." It's not "How is he not the real captain." It is "He is the real captain." That character truly thinks he is the real captain.
"I see." This is agreeing. There is no "Maybe he's not." There is no "You might be right." This is "You have said he is the real captain, and I have accepted this statement as truth."
If you accept that Urouge's conclusion based on rumours and a display of monstrosity is cement that Zoro is vice-captain, then you must accept that his conclusion that Zoro's the true captain, based on rumours and a display of monstrosity, cements him as the true captain. Otherwise, you are a hypocrite.
Well i'd wait until i actually see someone calling Sanji the vice-captain thenYou can voice your delusions all you want, won't change these facts. You can want Zoro to be the Strawhat's Dark Knight all you want. Ain't gonna happen. In fact, Sanji fills the roll of "Character doing things in the dark" far more than Zoro.
Yup. Speed, armament observation and strength give Luffy the edgeI'm still trying to figure out if Luffy could beat Law in a fight.
Indeed. It's like people think they were just brawling during their clash LolDidn't Shanks used to have daily duels with Mihawk? I'm pretty sure that he is a swordsman..
Nope. There is hypocrisy. It doesn't matter if they formed their conclusion because they misinterpreted the rumors or interpreted the rumors differently than Urouge, they both formed their conclusion off of rumors. You're accepting Urouge's simply because it fits what you want to be true better. There is no hypocrisie at all. *Sigh* Once again, rumors are things that spread world wide. Just like the rumors were saying Luffy is the captain(with the bounty over his head), same rumors were spreading around the fact Zoro was the vice. Similarly, exactly how they doubted the rumors after seeing Luffy in person, Urouge started to doubt how someone as formidable as Zoro can serve under someone. All that means he didn't actually know Zoro in person. All what he knew about came from rumorsNope. There is hypocrisy.
