Might Dai was extremely weak, though. Remember, he was only a genin. If 8th Gate Gai had fought the 7 Swordsmen in the 8th gate, they all would have died. His skill overall is far greater than his father's, and his use of the gates is greater as well.

The only issue with taking out all of the Akatsuki is if he could last long enough(And Obito could escape with Kamui, so I guess not all). He's far more powerful than anyone in the group, though.
