Is kindness weakness?

Rewatched an anime and wondered
Is trying uphold both things but failing in the end being kind or just weak?
In other words,
Are you strong when you forsake one thing for another?
Do somebody really have to give up on one thing to proceed with the next?​

Not at all. I see it as a huge strength, although there are boundaries where kindness does stop. Being able to forsake something of your own or yourself is a great trait to have. It coincides roughly with altruism (selflessness) and it's not seen too much in this society given how much people are focused on careers and such; which makes them forsake other people in place of themselves.

I guess that's part of human nature. Survival of the fittest. But instead of purely living on like Natural Selection suggests, it's more how you can further your own life.

kindness can only be shown to weak....if other is stronger or in equal terms its other case....and you have a right to defend your self....if you attack someone who is not bothering you it means that you fear of him that he'll be a problem for you in future...and you don't even know that....now that's weak!
