I Think that kings haki's real power isn't knocking out fodders but bending peoples will.
Let me throw you a hypothetical.
If You and I are in a gun fight and I can bend your will even a little bit I can make you hesitate. I can make you for a split second not pull that trigger.
And one second of hesitation can mean life or death in combat.
So I predict when Luffy masters his kings haki it will be used to dull his opponents attacks and make them hesitate in combat not knocking out high tiers but causing them to lose their edge.

rayleigh said that the power in this color comes from manifesting your spirit so I think that haki of this form's true power is making spiritual illusions (like brook's party music or Zoro's asura) physical and real.
And I predict when Zoro uses this haki to his fullest all those spirits you see around him when he does his attacks like the bull or the dragon or the big death ghost or asura will all become real and able to fight.

Rayleigh said that this is being able to hear your opponent or predict what they are going to do.
I think that this color at its utmost powerful isn't just limited to living things but anything will give you information at any point you ask and not only information that is current but information that is useful.
I think when Sanji uses this haki to its fullest he will be able to know all the weak spots in your defense you stance you armor what your moves are and what you are capable of. And he will know right where to hit you to cause everything to fall apart. Always making his hits perfectly critical and unwasted.
I.E. If he hits your sword. Your sword shatters. If he hits your gut, your organs explode. If your stance/fighting style is weak to head shots. He'll kick your head.
Like voice/breath of all things but in combat.
