Yes. Things we could have gained :-

1) A better end to Madara
2) A prolonged Naruto vs Sasuke, that everyone longed for
3) A glimpse about how Naruto actually achieved peace
4) Better ending of some other characters

Bruh did you Vote yes:|

Nope, the Ootsutsukis are on the best things to happen in Naruto. They answered so many questions and tied up alot of plotholes(while creating new ones but who cares).

No. Their story was more interesting than the "Madara and Hashirama"-plot that served as the main backbone for he story before.

I just wish Kishi had elaborated more on it, showing how Kaguya actually beam corrupt, her relationship and battle with her sons etc.

Here is hope that the anime will explore that one, with maybe a filler about Kaguya's past...

Edit: You made things a bit confusing, with the questions in the thread title and poll having the opposite direction...

I wouldn't get rid of all of them. I think I would just take out the ones that don't matter, like Kaguya and Hamura.

Hogoromo, Ashura, and Indra were all hinted since the beginning so I don't have a problem with them.

This makes sense - keep the story in line with the foreshadowing. Hagoromo was powerful enough to be the ultimate force for good, and Madara was powerful enough to be the ultimate villain.

I wouldn't remove them.

But perhaps they should've stayed in the past.

I still want to see what happened during those times. Like a mini series.

No, not remove them entirely. But the story would have been much better off if things like transmigration, reincarnation and prophecies didn't exist. They should've stayed as legends.

No, The way Kishi shaped them in manga is not right, They still can exist but as a Myth only

Also, if I want one Otsusuki members to be shown in manga, I choose Hagoromo and keep Kaguya as a Myth.

Another thing is, Otsutsuki members just consist Kaguya, Hagoromo, Indra, Ashura, Toneri.

I will replace Hamura with Toneri as Byakugan successor and he only appear in Movie like The Last did.

Yes and no. I like the concept of what Kishi tried to do, I just hate how it was executed such as how poor of a job Kishi did on explaining Kaguya's purpose(s), concepts of chakra, ashura and indra, and overall history of the planet. I mean why did Kaguya come to Earth? What was Kaguya's reasoning for a zetsu army? Was Kaguya royalty or some form of princess for her people? Some small details, but still unclear.

As for Indra and Ashura, it was really unclear but the concept came from Hinduism if I'm not mistaken. Either way Kishi tried too hard to make them equal and tie into the story, and ultimately painted Ashura as a weakling in the process, such that he was initially weaker than his brother Indra, but gained equal power, later he received some other power from Hagoromo but he ended up dying in combat to Indra, despite being a power up over him? I could assume Indra received some other power up not from Hagoromo but the manga doesn't even say that, so either they were not equal beforehand or Indra got another power up or something else. But I digress. In my opinion it would've been better just to have them equal in the beginning instead of trying to force Ashura to represent Naruto as the "untalented one", just to make Naruto relented to the plot/back-story. Although Naruto's relevance to the story is another issue.

Hagoromo and Hamura ultimately could have been ignored, heck Hamura was ignored for nearly the entire manga, with like 3 or 4 feats/images in the story. Chakra could have been handled like other stories handled power, just some ability everyone has or it's something people gain through training or whatever. Kishi tried to explain how chakra came but it lead to some issues, especially with IT effecting people who lack chakra, despite genjutsu effecting chakra in the brain, so I guess IT becomes another exception to the rule. Hagoromo and Hamura could've just been people who sealed the juubi, but didn't really interact with the plot as much.

Then there is the issue of how the moon was created and it's overall place in the timeline. (Not sure if Obito's words, of Hagoromo making the moon on his deathbed, were retconned or not.) Either way if that was the only moon, how was there waves in oceans prior to its formation? How was there tide? Not sure if this was answered, but this feature could actually be removed. Heck the Juubi could have been sealed underground in volcano. Then again maybe it was two moons in the beginning, IT happened with Kaguya so she must have had to reflect it on the moon....

Ultimately I figure Kishi had good intentions but his lazy writing or just fudging the issue, lead to unclear concepts that he tried to introduce and at that point, I would rather he not even introduced the concepts in the beginning.
