I think Kishi either completely forgot about this side plot or completely discarded it.

There are very obvious links between Kakashi, His Dad (sakumo) and the Inuzuka clan.

E.g:

- Kakashi having a better sense of smell than Kiba (pre-shippuden) ~ according to the manga.

- Kakashi gaining access to summon a "Ninken" Dog Squad at will.

- Kakashi's Dad (Sakumo) dubbed as "the White Fang of the Leaf".

All of these couldn't have been coincidence. There's a connection between Kakashi, Sakumo (basically the Hatake family) and the inuzuka clan that Kishi decided NOT to explore.

Any Thoughts ??

Not impossible, I always wished he would have just had his own clan though.

Or they are just coincidences

1) Having a good sense of smell can simply be attributed to his training with Ninken
2) You can sign with any contract, Dogs included.
3) He was known as the White Fang due to the unique tanto he used which created a bright luminescent white light after slashing with it

Kakashi isn't related to Kiba or from that fodder clan.

1) hmmm perhaps, but for his nose to be better than Kiba's (pre-shippuden) who spends around with dogs every day of his life ? not very convincing unless there's a bigger connection

2) Aren't there special conditions that the user must comply with/ undertake when they're making a contract with a certain species. e.g the Toads, or snakes, or Hawks

3) hmmm interesting, could be. but why "White FANG" tho ?

possible, but then wouldn't that meant that Kakashi would have "Red Fang markings" on his face ? (assuming that Hatake isn't a CLAN)

Another theory is that his mask covered the markings on his face

That could be true too.....
... LOL what if Kakashi actually does have red markings on his face. The reaction from the fans would interesting/funny to see if it happened.

Kakashi tied to the Inazuka's? Eh I'm strangely ok with it.

The bright white light created when the blade is used is shaped like a fang(white and thick at the top, thins out as the blade slices downward), and the blade is obviously sharp so it hurts like a fang would.

Here's a scan of the blade being used:

I guess that blows the Sakumo theory out.

1 out of 3 evidences explained.
