[Discussion] diamante fight underwhelming

Like seriously ..... He was perfectly healthy then gets one shotted by a wounded bullet wound legged kyros... Like seriously .. it just reminded me of fairy tail against sting when he was perfect health but just fell (I love both manga just saying the whole I wanna save people and u can't harm my friends is old...) And even so why didn't diamonte just change his body to dodge the attack... Like he has been doing entire time...
On side note lol how tf did kyros think he can win against doffy when he barely won against diamonte....lmfao

It's not certain Diamante is done yet, but true he has been underwhelming so far. As for Kyros, he wasn't really at full strength to begin with

I must agree with you. I wrote the same things on the discussion thread earlier this day.

The fight was predictable and the ending was underwhelming. Literally, almost every executive has got 1 shotted by someone. I think Oda has prolonged this arc so he is concuding things rather fast. I mean it's just the same, we get to see some of the fight and then someone decides to use a move and Boom. Small grey panel with the Executive's eyes being white and spitting blood. It's getting repetitive but at least we are done with it. Even though I don't approve since Donquixote Family is boss v_v


I hope the Zoro vs Pica or the final fight is epic enough to cover all that rushing.

I enjoyed it since Diamante was so annoying and Kyros deserved to kick his lame ass.

While the half moon attack was pretty cool, it wasn't really worth the hype placed around him. Why was Doflamingo so overconfident he could challenge Luffy and a yonkou commander(Burgess) if it's really all what he can do? Why did he seem unimpressed by Chinjao/Luffy's conqueror haki?

I hope that this is true. But I can't see it happening. Unfortunately, I think Diamante got 1 shotted like most of the other executives :/

The feels/depth to it made it that way for me. Like mentioned before, we don't know if it's over or not.

About this, well he had to try, since they have not been following luffy like us and they are not sure he will win, as we do
And Kyros was perhaps the strongest dressrossa had to offer before the pirate fest began.

I mean i dont think its by accident that they get one hitted. Monet was basically one hitted by Zoro, Vergo was also basically two hitted by Law, Pica has been running away most of the fight, I think the only person to take more then 1 hit from a pirate was the MOST BOSS FAMILY MEMBER !SENOR PINK!

Yeah from here on I'm not falling on any hype train of Odas. Because in the end, its really just non existent. Odas writing is truly unpredictable, he had Diamante unfazed by that CoC clash as if he was on a much better level. Only to act like a scared little bi*ch around Kyros. Makes no sense, he was even the leader of the battle brigade division. But yet his performance was worser than Pinks, pink was tanking while his superior was using cheap shots, how pathetic.

Following this trend, makes me wonder what he's going to do with Pekoms and Tamago and the rest of Big Moms Yonko crew like Bobbins, are they going to have an even worst showing than the executives? Oda needs to think about what he's doing because theres no more suspense when the hype turns to sh*t.

There is a difference between self proclaimed hype(that could be an act of arrogance) and a hype coming from other characters(that generally represent the perception outsiders have on a certain character). Doflamingo is the one who created hype on his boy. He said Luffy had better potential than Law, and despite knowing Vergo lost to Law, he still thought Diamante would win. He had so much confidence in his strength that he thought he could even handle a yonko commander(Burgess). Unless Doffy was an idiot, that hype was clearly not worth it, assuming it's really all what he can do, that's it
