Well being a India obviously cheering for India but I think SA or Aussies will win it.

My bet for semis is on Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka.

Although I would prefer South Africa, Australia are the favourites. I just hate England's attitude and although they have a solid bowling line up.

South Africa and New Zealand is up there unless their pressure on semi-finals come into play and Australia is a good sides as well and Pakistan, England and India ( though they're the winners of last world cup ) will be dark horses this time .
and If you consider Sri Lanka, we are capable of winning this world cup but there's issues that need to be solved : first one middle order is not among runs ( Angelo Mathews excluded ) secondly our all rounder Thisara Perera is not at his best and thirdly Balling and fielding must come to it's best and as a Sri Lankan my hope is they may be able do it :yeah: and we lost the world cup twice now

I think Australia look like second favourites followed closely by NZ since this is home turf for them.

Also Zimbabwe is the wild card in this world cup - considering their performance agains Sri-lank in the practice matches. And the fact that they beat Aus recently (even if it was autralia's B team).

England has an outside chance if Anderson gets his swing going right.

I would really love India to do well, but the team seams to be marred with internal struggle ever since kohli became the test captain and they sent Ravi shanstri into the dressing room. It is like there are two different teams within a team.

England have never done particularly well at World Cups, and as much as I would like Sri Lanka to do well, they have been inconsistent in the New Zealand tour. Furthermore, they played like shit by losing to Zimbabwe in a warmup. But, I pick Australia to win.

The teams you mentioned could all cause an upset or two like you said, but they definitely aren't consistent enough to take out the title.

I think, they gave a chance to those not in form and i do think. it's a good thing to make mistakes now than later non the less Masakadza's inning was what brought them the win and other two who got fifties and hope Sri Lanka come back strongly in the tournament .

and ones who gonna play well and make less mistakes on the day will win and the team reminds me of India in 2011 world cup, they were considered strong in batting not so in other departments yet they became the winner of it .
