Which is not a main Persona title. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona Q are both spin-offs.

I've never played an RPG... like I played Final Fantasy once.. for 20mins...

Yeah. The most famous JRPG titles are stuff like Final Fantasy and Pokemon (if people truly consider this JRPG), I suppose.

From my personal experience, I would definitely recommend it. Persona 4 and 3 are among my favorite games of all time. I would not recommend it if you didn't enjoy Final Fantasy, though. These games are known to be very story driven and text heavy. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling and turn-based combat. If that's not your cup of tea I wouldn't recommend it.

Depends on your preference. ^^

Both are stand-alone games, so you can play either Persona 5 or FF 15 without playing the other ones. Final Fantasy 15 will be more action-oriented and realistic. Persona 5 is more a traditional, slow combat in an anime style.

Try out both if you have the chance. Although Persona might be easier to understand when you played the previous ones because even though the story doesn't continue, it has a lot of recurring elements. So as a complete newcomer to the JRPG genre I'd say Final Fantasy. (Even though I prefer Persona ;p)
