Deva Path stated that it was a good thing that 3 of them did hide while the other 3 paths went and fought Jiraiya. But if 6 of them fought him at the same time, Jiraiya would had beaten them up, however Nagato was the last one so Jiraiya lose, however according to Chibaku Tensei, Jiraiya could just hide in a frog very deep inside a water and then attack again. Jiraiya > All Pains (If they didn't knew had any intel about him). Besides, Pain got prepared and sent out few of his paths to test Jiraiya's strength. Do not forget that Konan stepped in as well and Jiraiya used some of his chakra there.

No. Even with knowledge his only means of winning was dropping all 3 in genjutsu or cutting off los. Somthing he isn't doing or getting done if he's fighting all 6.

Jiraiya totally trolled the first 3 paths with his substitutions and shadow clones... He could've ditched all the 6 paths and went straight to Nagato, not saying he'd win but the battle would've been more classier than it already is...

jiraiya would've won because pain had never seen the frog song genjutsu before. That would've trapped all six bodies at one time. But, technically I couldnt see deva path losing to jiraiya. Shinra tensei and chibaku tensei are too overpowered.

He would lose. Pain was referring to THAT battle, meaning 3vs 1 at first.

In other words, if he knew the secret right off, he could have easily dispatched the first 3, then strike nagatos body down right after, or just go near his body where deva could no longer attack due to risk of killing the real body.

Clearly jaraiya can't fight the deva path.
