Hiding underground can tackle the problem caused by Kakuzus ranged attacks.
Plus he avoided Obito katon from close range so can't see how Kakuzus attackswould land on him.

Gians pretty ****ing fast, right when he goes down he'd shoot two massive bolts of lightning ripping through the ground, there is a reason he only uses that justu when there either is a distraction or when the opponent can't see.

He can strike with that fromunderground in order to get Kakuzu unprepared.

Opponents can tell when Kakashi is emerging, so simply sending threads the moment he tries to come out would win the fight for Kakuzu. Or he can merely jump as he's been shown to be able to jump quite damn high.

Isn't Kakuzu is the one who controls the masks? He obviosly can't share his attention to control properly all four at the same time.

Non war arc Kakashi already outsped Kakuzus raiton tho. It isnt as fast as you imagine.

Deva with rinnegan and sensing abilities had to use ST in order to not getting speedblitzed by Kakashis strike from underground.
Even Itachi with sharingan had a hard time to avoid a Kakashi clone despite the fact that with his sharingan he could see Kakashi moving underground. Kakuzu ain't evading it.
