Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty

Ah, here's one of the most famous Shippuden jutsus. This is a variant of the parent Chidori. You gather a good amount of chakra, and convert it into lightning, releasing it through either one point, several points, or from every point in your body, which spreads outwards in every direction. In other words, omnidirectional. It is released a burst, meaning the lightning is released suddenly. The lightning you release is non-focused, which means it isn't concentrated at one single point. If you notice, Chidori is focused, meaning it does a high amount of damage focused and concentrated at a small area, whereas Chidori: Nagashi affects a larger area. Since it's non-focused, it doesn't have cutting or piercing damage. You can also channel Nagashi through the ground, or flow it to weapons so as to give them paralyzing properties. If you're hit by Nagashi, your nerves will be paralyzed and you can't move. However, if you have Lightning as a primary specialty, you can resist paralyzation upto a great extent, but you still feel numbness and pain. Remember, this can't be used to "destroy" high ranked Earth or Wood jutsus, but can destroy only low ranked earth/wood jutsus. However, it can negate the chakra in the earth/wood jutsus and stop them from forming further, meaning it cancels out the opponent's chakra within the earth/wood jutsus. Can you tell me what rank of Genjutsu this would break? And, also can you tell me why it breaks you out of Genjutsu?

Wrong. It can break only upto B-Rank genjutsu. The genjutsu rules state that a technique that releases one from genjutsu can only break genjutsu upto one rank lower than itself. Meaning, an A-Rank full body surge, releases gen upto B-Rank, a B-Rank full body surge breaks gen upto C-Rank and so forth.

The senbons are extremely precise and have the same numbing and paralyzing effects as Chidori, carrying enormous speed. Because the technique requires no handseals and is done with simple hand movements, its extremely hard to avoid while in short range and quite dangerous to counter due to the precision attacks it can be used to perform.

This is a pretty useful technique. You form Chidori in your hand, and apply shape manipulation to it, condensing it to form countless senbon of lightning. You can then swing your hand or do any hand movement, and release these senbons toward the opponent which travel with great speed and rain down upon the opponent. The good thing about this technique is that it requires no handseals and can be used in short range to slow down a quick opponent. Like Nagashi, this can cover a large area, since a large no. of senbons are hurled at once. They do numbing damage, however they don't kill. Good to paralyze the opponent and render him unable to move for a short while.

Description: The user increases the range of their Chidori by using form manipulation to extend it into a blade up to 10 meters in length. This blade is capable of splitting into multiple additional blades upon contact with an enemy, drastically increasing the number of wounds it can inflict. Like other Chidori-related techniques, this jutsu will numb its target upon contact but unlike others, seems to focus more on having a cutting power, like a katana, than a piercing one. Because of its cutting abilities, it often seems to manifest a certain "solidity"; a tangible aspect.

Same as earlier. You form a chidori in your hand and apply shape manipulation to it, reshaping it by condensing it to form a long and thin blade of lightning which extends from your hand upto 10 meters. You can also focus on your technique, and use shape manipulation again to split it into multiple blades, which would increase it's overall range. It does numbing damage, same as Chidori, but it can also cut like a sword. Whereas, a normal Chidori focuses on piercing damage, this focuses more on cutting damage. Unlike Chidori which is a pure mass of energy, this maintains some solidity to it, and thus does impact damage as well as cutting damage. You can aim it to cut through the opponent's heart and kill him. This jutsu is pretty deadly in short range, and can travel extremely fast, so it's near unavoidable. However, the downside is that it travels in a linear arc toward the opponent, thus it's trajectory is very predictable. You can use this like a longsword to cut things in half. Like how Sasuke bisected Madara.

It is a very cool technique, it doesn't requires any hand seals at all, It is capable of dealing with multiple opponents , it paralyzes our opponents on contact and it can turn a lost battle in to our favor. The drawbacks of this technique that it divides in to many projectiles so the chakra we used gets divided so we will get some low ranked stuff that will be easily countered.
The User first forms a Chidori in his hands by sending a large amount of Raiton chakra in to his right and applies shape manipulation to make it form in to a sphere like stuff then the User moves his hand and as he does that he releases the Chidori in form of many senbons this is done by applying shape manipulation and on contact it paralyzes our opponents.

This is another very effective cqc technique , it doesn't requires any hand seal, it is a fast paced technique and it also can move up to 10 metres that can be really dangerous for our opponent, and the drawbacks would like this techniques moves in a linear path which is very predictable as you said.
The user starts by forming a Chidori in his right arm by focusing a large amount of Raiton chakra at the said hand and then user applies further shape manipulation to it the user reshapes his Chidori and have it extend

Even though the chakra gets divided among the senbons, they all hit at once, so that makes up for it. Keep up those replies. I still expect better though. And, let's finish off all the Chidori variations. Only things left in this method are Raikiri and it's variations.

Description: The user will cover his hands in with lightning, essentially performing a (Raiton: Chidori) Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds in each hand. Clapping his hands together, the user can unleash that massive amount of lightning chakra into the form of a powerful Thunderbolt directed at the target. The technique is best used if the user has a height advantage in relation to the target. The thunderbolt is strong enough to leave a giant crater and cannot be used while being in Short-range of the target, at the risk of being hit also.

You gather Chidori in both your hands at the same time. Then, you proceed to clap your Chidori-clad hands together, and due to the interaction of the lightning currents, added your shape manipulation, a giant thunderbolt will form, which rushes towards the target. It is very powerful and can leave a giant crater. It is so powerful that if you're in short range of the technique, you will get hit also, which means instant death, meaning you have to stay atleast mid-range from your opponent to prevent that. It works better if you perform this when you're higher than your opponent, so as to make the thunderbolt travel faster and at a deadlier angle.

Descripton: The user will channel lightning chakra into his hand, covering it with a massive chidori. The user will then point his palm forwards, unleashing that chakra, creating a massive 120º blast of lightning that spreads from his hand, outwards and forward towards the enemy.

Another Chidori variation. You gather a large amount of lightning chakra in your hand, covering it with a massive chidori. You then point your palm forwards, and shape manipulate the chidori to turn it into a 120 degree blast of lightning which spreads from your hands, moving outwards, and forwards, covering a vast area. The lightning blast travels with tremendous speed and can destroy high ranked Wood and Earth structures with ease. It can also devastate a vast area, leaving only a giant crater in it's aftermath. This is a one hit kill technique. The lightning blast would serve to fry off the opponent's organs and destroy his body terribly. However, you need to maintain focus over the technique for the lightning blast to spread and hit the enemy, so it's not combo friendly.

The user then increases the potency of the lightning, generating a powerful electric explosion at the end of the spear and sending the enemy back to the ground.
Note: Only the spear extension can reach up to mid range.

A game jutsu. You form a Chidori in any one of your hands and run toward your opponent at high speeds. Once you hit your opponent with the chidori, you use shape manipulation to extend the range of the chidori, forming a giant spear, which pierces through him and sends him flying due to the way it hits, almost like a solid. You then shape manipulate the tip of the spear, channeling all your lightning chakra there, and condensing your chakra at one point, and releasing it once, causing a massive electrical explosion, which drives your opponent into the ground. Needless to say, this technique kills your opponent, due to the original impact of the chidori, the spear and the explosion. One of the most powerful chidori variations. A normal drawback again; you need to fuel chakra to your technique to maintain it's form. The spear form of the chidori reaches upto mid-range, but not the original chidori. It is still short ranged.

It is performed by forming Chidori in both of his hands by sending a large amount of his Raiton chakra and then he applies shape manipulation to it and turns it in a sphere like shape then the User claps his hands and releases the Chidori in a form of a big thunderbolt that runs towards our opponent and as they hit their opponent it destroys our opponent.

This is very powerful technique which doesn't requires any hand seals , it spreads in to 120degree it can also be able to take over multiple opponents and destroy high ranked wood and earth defense the drawback of this technique is while the is performing it he gotta maintain his chakra that doesn't allow the user to use any other jutsu, and it also requires alot of chakra that restricts the user to use it in battle.
The user first creates a massive Chidori in to his right hand by sending a lot amount of Raiton chakra to his hand and apply shape manipulation to create a very huge Chidori then the user releases the Chidori and applies shape manipulation to it to extend it 120 degree that spreads over terrain and as it hits our opponents it fries our opponent's organs and destroy their bodies.

( Raiton: Chidori Shinsō ) - One Thousand Birds True Spear

This is a cool jutsu which doesn't requires any hand seals at all , it is capable of taking our opponent high in the air and I really can't think of any advantage, Disadvantages would be that we gotta run at high spees towards our opponent which gives us a tunnel vision that makes it difficult to track our opponents and we get keep fueling the chakra to keep it happening and if we miss to hit our opponent then the jutsu wont happen.
The user firstly forms a Chidori at his right hand and run towards his opponent and hits his opponent with it and and have it extend by applying shape manipulation and take his opponent in to air and destroy our opponent

Description: The Lightning Cutter is an enhanced and concentrated form of the Chidori with the same effects and drawbacks that is done performing the Ox → Rabbit → Monkey hand seals. According to Might Guy, it gained its name after Kakashi split a bolt of lightning with it. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Cutter requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Cutter is much more focused. Kakashi has shown different ways of forming and using the Lightning Cutter, unique to him. For example, he demonstrated the ability to imbue a projectile weapon, such as a kunai, with his Lightning Cutter, granting the technique long-range capabilities by throwing the kunai towards his target. In this instance, the kunai was capable of piercing through multiple large rocks with ease, without any loss of momentum or change in trajectory.
Note: Kakashi biographies can use the technique without hand seals.
Note: Only Kakashi biographies can apply the technique to a kunai and use it as a projectile attack.

Behold! The first Lightning technique to be shown in the manga. The Lightning Cutter itself. This is an advanced, deadlier and more destructive form of Chidori. You do the same process. You weave 3 handseals and focus a tremendous amount of Lightning chakra in your hands and eventually convert your chakra to lightning. You then apply shape manipulation to the created lightning, to condense it highly at one singular point, and form a mass of bright blue electrical chakra. Due to the massive amount of chakra channeled, the chakra itself appears in your hand, and due to the massive concentration of lightning chakra, same as the Chidori, but more in this case, the lightning takes an exemplified appearance, and gives off a certain sound, which is pure music to the ears. ;_;
It requires greater chakra control and does more focused damage than Chidori. With Chidori you can pierce through a certain amount, but with Raikiri you can pierce through almost double the amount. Consider Raikiri as the S-Ranked version of the Chidori. It's a one hit kill if your opponent is hit by it. It paralyzes him and fries his internal organs, as well as destroying them completely. It's trademark is how the lightning vibrates around the central point of focus. Good thing is, you can even use it underwater, since Kakashi was shown using it that way. Although, only Kakashi bios can imbue it to a bladed weapon, and increase the weapon's piercing and cutting force. However, when you apply it to a bladed weapon, the weapons cutting power is so much that it can cut through multiple rocks with ease, and it won't even change it's direction by the impact, which indicates how powerful it is. It doesn't do widespread damage, but wherever it hits, it can cut through, obviously following logic. Deadly for short range. I'd personally use it's variants more though.

This is a very powerful and much effective technique than Chidori , which requires three hand seals, It can destroy upto S-Rank wood and earth defense, it can only be used in short range meaning we can't release it to long ranges but only Kakashi bio can combine it with a weapon and make it long range, it shares the same drawback as Chidori that we have to run towards our target at high speed which would give us a tunnel like vision that makes it difficult to track our opponents' moves.
It is done by gathering a tremendous amount of lightning chakra at our hand then we apply shape manipulation to it and turn it in to a bright blue sphere then We run towards our opponent and strike them with it at heart which we release the lightning chakra and that fries our opponents organs.
It requires a tremendous amount of chakra which restricts us to use it quite often in a battle

This was shown by Kakashi and his Lightning clone to cut through a tailed beast's tails. You need to first form a shadow clone. If you haven't learnt Shadow Clone, then skip this jutsu. Basically, the technique is simple. You and your clone form a Raikiri, in different hands(you in left and the clone in right or vice versa). Once you do this, you will "connect" your Raikiri with his, and due to the massive magnetic and electrical fields generated, added that you perform shape manipulation, you would form a chain of lightning, which can cut and rip through massive Earth and Wood defenses with ease. This can also cut through a Bijuu's tails. The drawback is that you need to run in a linear arc.

This is performed by first creating a clone and then command him to focus a huge amount of lightning chakra to his right arm then The user also focuses a huge amount of lightning chakra to his left arm then they both perform shape manipulation to it and turns it in to Raikiri then both The user and the clone joins their Raikiri hands together which produces a huge amount of electrical chRge then the both applies shape manipulation to it generates a chain which moves forwards toward the target and rip through them.

Well, It is yet another powerful technique which doesn't requires any hand seal, and I don't getting the technique to be honest because its a bit confusing for me coz I dont get the points of this technique though it helps us to defend us from incoming lightning release attacks.
