Location: Team 10 and Kakashi vs. Hidan and Kakuzu
Intel: Kakuzu knows of Mei's status as the Mizukage, Mei knows that Kakuzu is a dangerous S-Rank criminal
Starting distance: Mid range
Conditions: As the Mizukage and having mastery over ninjutsu, Mei can use mizu bunshins and Suiton: Suidanha. She also gets Kakashi's Earth Release techniques + Moving Earth Core. Kakuzu gets Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu in his water mask, but starts in base.

Kakuzu wins her heart...literally. Dat valuable heart with 3 chakra natures and two KKG.

Seriously though, Kakuzu should win. Fuuton blows away mist, water dragon is tanked by Domu and Mei can't focus on the offensive since she isn't particularly fast and has Kakuzu's hearts spamming elemental attacks at her. She gets overwhelmed me high diff

Well, let me fanboy the 5th Mizukage here for bit

- With the conditions I layed out I think she wins with high difficulty. With Kakashi's earth release techniques she can utilize doton walls + mizu bunshins to change her location and feint Kakuzu which Kakashi manged to do twice in thier fight. Suidanha should have enough to cut through the hearts and yōton will always one shot them if she gets close enough to them. If they all go airborne she can opt to close the gap via moving earth core or sink Kakuzu below the terrain and rain down yōton on him which Domu cannot tank.

If we're talking about Mei with her regular feats, then yeah Kakuzu probably wins. Kishi really should have given Mei more doton feats and more combat feats overall, but he doesn't really care about female characters that much =/

gai is patently superior to Lee
Tsunade is patently superior to sakura
Sasori is patently superior to Chiyo
Itachi is patently superior to Kurenai

...Kakuzu is patently superior to Mei.
no argument is needed; see how that works?

and btw, Kakuzu has no base mode/release mode. his mask are actively in play at any point in time, overtly or covertly, contained, or released.

That was anime only my man....Kakashi never feinted in the manga...surprised you didn't use the shitty Naruto example thoughl. Anyways Kakuzu's raiton will rip through any doton walls, as for the bunshins his jutsu are such large scale that anything below mei's full potential wont be able to stop it, and since she's using clones she won't be able to utilize that.

Eh, Lava melting solid carbon? Don't really know chemistry that well but I wouldn't say its definite. Suidanha? What may that be exactly? If you're referring to some sort of slicing jutsu then all the hearts need to do is make sure it slices the threads not the masks which only takes a bit of movement. Kakuzu's threads can sling shot him out from the lowered terrain. Lava globs aren't hitting airborne hearts unless as you said she gets close but she'd be dead by then. Clones prevent the simply outnumbering Mei but Kakuzu's jutsu are still superior.

Oh sure, you say that when Kishi literally killed of Kakuzu to get more Sasuke .-.

My bad, I haven't read the manga in a while, so my memory's still hazy. However, that's still not going to stop Mei from going underground and using clone feints. Her hand seal and jutsu execution speed is very fast, so she'll be able to put up a wall, make a clone or two, and go underground to plan her next strategy before she gets hit. Doton wall is good against fire and water, but it'll serve as more of a distraction in this match. Mei's reserves should be high as a kage level shinobi, so she'll have no problem making water clones (which don't take much chakra) and using other ninjutsu.

Suiton: Suidanha is the jutsu Tobirama used to cut the Shinju tree's branches. Slicing the threads will still restrict movement and the masks are already pretty slow, especially compared to the speed of Mei's techniques. I don't see how she would be dead since she can pick which hearts to attack. The only attack that would kill her at close range is Gian. Yōton melts through the threads.

Kakuzu literally rapes her. Fuuton: Atsugai swaps away the acid mist, Yoton is dodged, Suiton is negged with Doton: Domu or ****ed up with Suiton + Raiton. Raiton: Gian kills Mei or Jiongu threads neg her.

Under these conditions, I don't know who wins so I'll try thinking up of a scenario.

As the fight starts, Kakuzu releases his masks while Mei uses her water wall, creates two Mizu bunshins, transforms that water wall into a water dragon which Kakuzu tanks with doton domu. By this time Kakuzu will have released his masks and the Mizu bunshins will have gone underground which Kakuzu won't notice due to being hidden by Mei's water wall. By this time, Kakuzu will send his katon + fuuton masks for a frontal assault which is further backed by an assault from the suiton and raiton masks which attack Mei from a different direction. Mei uses mobile Earth core to avoid getting hit by the four elemental attacks and to gain some high ground over the flying masks and Kakuzu. Right afterwards, Mei's suiton bunshin blindside Kakuzu from his blind spot, one uses a suiton and the other uses lava to harden Kakuzu. Kakuzu survives due to doton domu but his body is now hardened. Luckily for Kakuzu, the two Mizu bunshins run out of chakra after their attack and disperse.

The masks then divert their attention to defending Kakuzu allowing Mei to snipe one of them with Suidanha. Kakuzu eventually uses his domu enhanced strength to break free along with his fuuton mask to destroy the concrete. Knowing Mei can easily blindside him, from now on Kakuzu decides to keep a mask at his blind spot at all times. With one mask destroyed, the doton mask inside Kakuzu and one mask guarding Kakuzu's blindspot, Kakuzu only has two hearts to attack Mei offensively.

In an attempt to overwhelm Mei, Kakuzu will decide to use his threads to attack in conjunction with his two offensive masks. Mei knows what is going on and realizes that the only way to win is by splitting up the masks and Kakuzu from each other so she uses hiding like a mole to escape a fair distance away and then uses acid mist to conceal her location and do damage causing Kakuzu to panic. Kakuzu will end up fusing with his masks to prevent his masks from getting blindsided and because they are safe inside his body and uses his katon and/or fuuton masks to clear out the mist. Regardless, the noise created by Kakuzu's jutsu coupled with all the smoke/debris from Kakuzu's own jutsu allows Mei to hit Kakuzu with lava which he can't evade and ends up utilizing doton domu. Regardless of him activating doton domu, the masks on his shoulders get killed by the lava. With lava on his body, Kakuzu ends up using the threads on his body to remove the lava and attack Mei with those lava soaked threads but during that time Mei manages to fire even more lava at Kakuzu. Due to being close to Kakuzu and having exhausted herself, Mei can't dodge Kakuzu's attack and gets impaled by the lava threads thus she dies but the lava on Kakuzu's body ends up seeping through, killing the masks inside his body and melting his body.

So under these conditions, I think a draw is likely.

Kakuzu has no suiton mask...... Its a doton mask. Okay no idk whats your problem man but mei loses your pathetically biased "scenario" doesn't change anything

Let me give you the logical scenario

If kakuzu gets the first move he uses the fuuton mask, which if Mei isn't prepared crushes her easily however I'll say she is. So she uses the water wall to defend herself (which is questionable as its a 360 attack so a wall may not do anything) but again ill go in mei's favor and say it does. Kakuzu then uses his katon mask which bypasses the wall and roasts mei. Air pressure isn't dodged by hiding like a mole as unlike Kakasi mei has no pre-cog. So she won't be ready to use that.

The OP allowed Kakuzu access to suiton via the suiton mask. How is my scenario biased? Do I sound like a Mei fanboy/Kakuzu hater?

Mei has access to doton or water wall, both of which significantly reduce the pressure to the extent that it hardly does damage to Mei. Katon isn't bypassing a suiton wall which stopped Madara's katon with zero difficulty. Kakashi needed precog to successfully avoid the Kakuzu and Hidan combo. I don't see why Mei can't go underground against any elemental attack that comes her way. Going by your biased logic, Mei's lava oneshots Kakuzu because Kakuzu doesn't have sharingan precog like Madara.

I stopped at ''releases his mask''.

in the manga he was outnumbered 4 to 1

people think Kakuzu needs to release his masks & disadvantage himself in a 1 0n1 fight? the guy didn't live for ninety years by being arrogant, an idiot or a showoff.

Kakuzu can overpower most oppenets w/o revealing his secret & this match is no different...

I don't think Icelerate was being biased either, its just kakuzu gets undervalued as more & more time passes on since his arc ended
