Let's start off by identifying the basic benefits that the sharingan grants its user.

Madara and Sasuke's Choku Tomoe
- In this scan, we see Madara confirming that the Choku Tomoe allows for more fluid movement in response to the opponents movements. Sasuke's feats in tracking Juubito's speed during their fight backs this up as well.
Clearly, the Choku Tomoe EMS with all of its powerups, its perception, and its tracking prowess is extremely powerful. However, like Itachi told Naruto and Bee during their fight with Nagato, every jutsu has a weak point and a counter. One such counter for said sharingan (and by default, all of its previous forms like the MS) is Mū's Dustless Bewildering Cover.
Here's an overview of this technique
The last bit of the last sentence practically confirms this technique's superiority over Taiseki's Hiding in Camoflage. However, for comparison's sake, lets look at the latter technique anyway to fully establish the difference.
- In another interesting point, Kakashi, who has heightened senses including a good sense of smell, noted here that Taiseki's technique erases sense of smell, further proving the statements from narutowiki. Therefore, Dustless Bewildering Cover should also do the same.
Conclusion: Judging from all the scans and statements that I've compiled here, we can assuredly say that Mū, while invisible, cannot be seen by the naked eye, nor sensed by chakra sensor types, nor sniffed out.
Now, can he be seen by the sharingan and its forms? No, he cannot. To prove this, I will draw information from the beginning of this post.
The sharingan has four basic abilities, and the ones relevant to my point are its ability to see chakra flow, to "give color" to chakra, and to distinguish forms of chakra. These abilities should be pushed to the absolute maximum with Sasuke's/Madara's Choku Tomoe EMS. However, not even this form of the sharingan can see Mū while he's invisible. The sharingan can see and distinguish chakra forms and signatures through its superior insight, but it cannot distinguish a chakra signature that's been completely erased and hidden, and cannot distinguish a chakra that has no form, like Kabuto stated in one of the scans I posted above. This is true for the EMS, no matter how much said ocular abilities have been "boosted", which is a rather dubious term in this context, considering nothing we've seen in the manga indicates that the stages of the sharingan really take the 3T's abilities to another level. Furthermore, the Choku Tomoe refers to the user's enhanced tracking prowess and fluidity of movement in response, but it cannot track something that it cannot see and identify. One counter I've heard some people say to this is the fact that Madara fought Mū and Ōnoki in the past and beat them. I feel that that example should be completely disregarded because it was originally a meeting to discuss the relations between Iwagakure and Konohagakure, and we know next to nothing about that scuffle and how it went down. Who's to say Mū had time to go invisible and escape Madara's sight from such a short range?
So, there you have it. I'm pretty open minded and still relatively new to this site, so any feedback and constructive criticism is welcomed.
