No, they just wanted to ensure a piece of their colonial territory. In fact, they just delayed our economic improvement when they prevented the basic reforms in our government (there was nothing communist in them, it was just an excuse), it benefited them and f*cked up our economy, that's why when the militar dictatorship ended, we were in a big crisis. USA politicians never cared about no one happiness, just for their own.

That's not what I'm talking about. It's probably difficult to envision, and even more difficult to believe...honestly I don't know if I can even explain it right now. But I'm really sorry for what happened to you :( I hope that you can find it within yourself to put that in the past and not resent America, or anyone, for that matter. And if you can't do that, then just blame me. I haven't done anything to change the way things are...

Clearly you're informed incorrectly.

Muslim countries already hate the U.S. because of the Afghanistan war and Iraq war. That was more than a decade before Isis even existed. And yes, it was because of the oil.

Also, the U.S. engaged in battle against Isis only after Saudi Arabia, for 3 years, trying to get them to do so. Previous to that, they had no intention of going on war.

Those are the same Jews that daily kill civilians of Palestine; men, women and children. Not to mention the hundred billion dollar funding on that matter. So yes, they are bad for protecting mass murders.

Not honestly sure if stupid or not. America itself was slaving black people.

@Bold, but who imported that oil? Which oil company?

It will graph all of the oil the US has imported since 1993. I don't get your logic. Buying oil = stealing oil? What...?

But really America is a nice place and has done some great things, I can't be asked thinking about them or any other country to pass my day. I am just too busy annoyed with a specific someone that decided to cut our benefits. ¬___¬

@Bold. I hate that argument because of how nonfactual it actually is. If we genuinely wanted oil we would not have gone to the middle east because of how militant it is versus how much oil they have. We would have gone somewhere that seemed to need help but the people aren't nearly as militant while having much more oil. Meaning parts of Africa. They have much more oil and are thousands of times less militant compared to these terrorist groups Lol.

How would you know what the average american knows? Have you interviewed all 370 million of us and tested us? That's a pretty large sample size. You expect everyone in America to be geniuses but I bet if I quizzed the average citizen of your country on American history, they wouldn't fare so well right? I can make generalizations too. Lol

Don't care for the rest of your post but if you quizzed the average citizen of my country, we'd do just fine on your history. We have the opportunity to take classes like European History, American history and so forth, on top of Canadian history itself. Mine isn't a generalization seeing as how it has constantly presented itself many times not only in my life but in many others I know.

That is a generalization Lol.

We have classes for European history, African history, Mexican history and so forth(Or at least my high school did). So is it now fair for me to say we are smarter than you because we have more classes in history? Lol

Generalization: (n)a general statement or concept obtained by inference from specific cases.

After looking into criticisms of American foreign policy and the government, I think it's justifiable as to why it is given such a reputation. Not saying that everything about America is shit, but in this matter...

Ever heard of army resources? The U.S. wouldn't receive any patrol or oil production, as it's using it for the army bases that's residing in Iraq, after having taken control of them.

Check the link I posted; it will show you the oil it produced from Iraq.

That logic would make perfect sense if we weren't already buying the oil from them. What you're implying is we're stealing oil we already bought. Lol

It has nothing to do with knowing another countries history or not. It's appealing to one's ignorance. As a Canadian, I'm not obliged to know American history, European History or even Ancient History, but I can if I want and knowing history on a grander scale makes one less ignorant on even present matters. For instance, let's say people in the Western World (Canada, USA, various parts of Europe) didn't know anything about the Palestine and Israel dilemma and why they're always fighting and then they run their mouthes off with ignorant opinions. Anyone who reads about that opinion is at full liberty to "bash" that country and or singular person simply because of the ignorance of the comment. I'm not telling you to learn about Canada's history or anyone else besides your own, but people like Cunning Linguist doesn't even acknowledge Canada as a country (calls us your "asshat). I can't help but be offended. But don't get me wrong. I've met many great American people. And a girl I met here in Canada from America visiting was amazing and I almost fell in love with her; but it's immediately offset by the mass of ignorant people who think the world solely revolves around America.

This is the same mindset racists have.

"Oh I work with a black guy name Steve and he's a great guy, but I really can't like him as a person because he's black."

You let the place where someone lives determine who they are as a person? Nice man.

1. I'm not racist.
2. I never said that. My experiences don't coincide with my opinion with Americans as a whole. There are general opinions (stereotypes if you will) which commonly are shown (what I've come across) but don't dare try and tell me I openly go and say "Oh because you're American I'm not going to like you". That's absolutely stupid. If you're arrogant, whether you're American or not, I won't like you. And with the way you're attacking my posts and making judgments without even knowing me as a person as at all, I can quite easily lump you in there with the arrogant Americans I've met.

The oil that you used to buy. Not anymore after 2003-2011.
