Which Side Characters have great development in The Series ?

Other than the Main Characters, Which side characters do you consider have great development throughout the Manga ?

For me I'd say:

- Gaara
- Itachi
- Shikamaru
- Jiraiya
- Madara (added)

You're probably right about Jiraiya now that I think about it.

Oh well, It did seem like he got a lot of development before the pain arc.

Itachi was a fodder to begin with, Madara had excellent characterization.

Konan didn't have development.

Her relationship with Jiraiya with whom she lived 3 years was nonexistent, she was practically emotionless during her Akatsuki days (although, there was that hint of her x Yahiko), and in her fight with Obito she suddenly became one of Naruto's biggest cheerleaders, even though they barely exchanged few words.

Anyway, Obito had quite a lot of development for a side character.

Out of all the side characters, Itachi has the best development.

Madara's development was halted thanks to Black zetsu.

yes it was but then "Rin" stuck on his char like cancer which made it way too much Rin centric
