Well how about you tell me what is more heartless. Having a clone for a father or having a father there thats not a clone? If I was the real kid I would want the real thing. But that is besides the point. A ninja must learn to endure. If he gets everything he wants he will never learn to be on his own. I believe Naruto is trying to send a message to his kid. To work harder and become successful without him being there to grab his hand for him.

He doesn't have to use a clone on his kid. The clones would be for taking his place with whatever things would otherwise distract him from being a father to the point where his son is crying for attention in exactly the same way he was.

Naruto's barely there. That's the problem. He obviously isn't there causing Bolt to go nuts.

That's actually on Bolt this time as noted by Iruka. Naruto can't just used Shadow Clones to perform work such the Kages meeting and be with his family simultaneously. Otherwise, all of the previous Hokages would have done so with their clones.
