Naruto matured a little and gained more guts through the part 2 when sasuke became more a spoiled brat ( and sadly gettiing a little dumb) over the second part. And one of manga "rules" is: "More mature the character gets, the stronger they become.

Which proves my point, Kishi nerved Sasuke and buffed Naruto to let him win, Sasuke would have won hands down if the serie was only a little realistic, but hey it's an anime about friendship and love thus the good guy needs to win...

If he was wiser, he could have sensed that obito was toying with him. he would have understood what his bro did and why.
In battle, he have a little more strategic sense than the MC, true, but it not enough to make him stronger to beat him.

Kishi never nerfed Sasuke ( nor naruto), he got him up through the whole series in a stupid way. ( the kid that beat by a hair a weakened Itachi, the kid that got nearly destroyed by the Kage, with just eyes changes and no training can fight on par with them, that's what I call Bulls**t.)

Naruto have more guts, more stamina, he is unpredictable, and he have a better insght when it concerns people.
Sasuke is like kakashi, if he doesn't shoot down the ennemy fast, he is done since he is not a powerhouse like itachi. that's why he had to put sasuke in battlefield at the end of the war in order to have them in a close state of chakra reserve, otherwise at the thrid part of the war, sasuke would be useless by exaustion.
( Don't forget that when sasuke and his group made a walk through Konoha and stuff easy peasy, naruto was fighting like a bull.)

If two of them in full condition are to fight, naruto wins by destructive power,speed, stamina and guts ( with a very close call I admit).

You should be more concerned by all the techs holes that fight showed ( and most of them are from sasuke) lie: oh sasuke can absorb ( that ok) and manipulate natural energy ?
