He was full Kurama... compared to the Half kurama he normally had.

And also now is more experienced.

His own powers in base have also grown by far..

Why would Kishimoto need him to rely on the powers of rikudou?

Why would Kishi make Sasuke reliant on the rinnegan? Plus, Naruto entered this "BSM" without meditation, and could fly. Which implies it's something like a step away from RSM. I also don't see how he can fight the equivalent of a juubi jin (Toneri with TSBs) without something like RSM. I also don't see how he would be able to block a moon-cutting attack with just full Kurama enhanced by senjutsu.

The Kurama avatar and etc = wasn't needed for NAruto at that point, because he was better without it due to him fighting the limbo and etc.

no. Naruto and Sasuke are not meant to rely on some powers a old geezer from ancient times gave them. Naruto has Full Kurama and his SM, thats already OP enough, and i'm sure his own chakras grew. Sasuke has the rinnegan, along with his chakra that was stated to be more evil/powerful than even Madara's, to power up that rinnegan.

Sasuke himself explicitly stated that he and Naruto were blessed with Rikudou's power. Nothing ever suggested that they were never meant to rely on the power of Hagoromo. If we play this card, they were never meant to be his sons' transmigration in the first place. What they were meant to do is to surpass their predeccessors and what they weren't meant to do is make the same mistake they did. How they do so is completely irrelevant and it's your interpretation as far as I know.

Same reason Superman didn't show up in the Dark Knight trilogies, Naruto's too overpowered and they had to tone him down for the movie. That or he doesn't have it anymore, but I lean towards the former.

Actually, Naruto with Full Kurama + SM + Growth of his own power.. takes a crap on anyone who came before him. Sasuke has the Rinnegan.. his chakra is stronger than Indra or Madara's... hes already superior. They are superior to their ancestors without relying on Rikudou's chakra.

Kyuubi's chakra stayed on people who still had chakra left.... not people who had gotten their chakra sucked out already... Hagoromo's chakra is not Naruto's own chakra... he doesn't have rikudou inside him, supplying it to him.. he only had Kurama to do that.

My only point after watching the new movie is why does naruto still have those sage mode eye shadings?

In the manga, after he gained ridukou chakra he shows a perfect sage mode with no eye shading in his base mode.

It seems they retconned naruto to pre kaguya fight but let sasuke keep his rinnegan.

Itcwas not to avoid a spoiler. Sasuke had his rinnegan and was missing an arm. Kakashi didn't have his sharingan and was hokage. Naruto also had his prosthetic arm. This movie was different than the others, because it follows the manga plot progression and not the anime.

They edited the Rinnegan in. There is a scene where he doesn't have it.
