So I want to buy the new dragon age game but am worried I wont be able to run it. I am happy on general high graphics and can run Skyrim on high graphics, modded to the teeth without issue but cannot run high texture mods.

What do you think?

This right here. Depending on specs, if you can run Skyrim you shouldn't have an issue running DA:Inquisition

I have an Nvidia GTX 550 TI

Quad Core AMD

I have 4GB of RAM but it is DDR2

Er, I am so not techy

I can run Skyrim with no issue but I can't run it on Ultra, I can but I get a lot of lag

These specs should be fine to run DA:I you might get a slight lag during the online play depending on the EA Server (which is up and down all the time) but that is no fault of your specs just their server issues.

So from what i see you will be able to play the game no problem.
Here are the PC requirements for the game(Dragon Age Origins).

Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz Processor or equivalent
RAM: 4 GB (Vista) or 2 GB (XP)
OS: Windows XP with SP3, Vista with SP1, Windows 7
Video Card: 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS or greater; 512 MB ATI Radeon HD 3850 or greater
Free Disk Space: 20 GB HD space
DVD-ROM: Yes

For Dragon Age Inquisition :
CPU Speed: AMD six core CPU @ 3.2 GHz, Intel quad core CPU @ 3.0 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit
Video Card: 2 GB, AMD Radeon HD 7870 or R9 270, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Free Disk Space: 26 GB

I will leave a link here for you to follow it will show you weather your PC is capable of running Dragon Age with no lag.
Follow the link and then see if your PC can run the game you wanna play.(Try downloading a demo from the game)

I listed the Recommended specifications; you might be able to play it no problem on your pc,if you want to be sure you can follow the link that i provided and you will see weather you can or not.

As i see it your PC specifications are good and will enable you to play any Dragon Age that you choose so, so don't worry about it,ultimately you can lend the game from a friend and see if it will play on your PC but as i said before you can play this game even in High specs so don't worry.
