What makes you to watch anime ?

The story telling of most anime, the creative freedom writers have, like Hellsing it would be impossible to convey something like that using any other medium, though it's hard to pinpoint exact reason it's something along those lines.

I like watching an ongoing animated story that has drama, action, and humor. Japanese language and culture are bonuses.

But the only reason I prefer anime over other forms of stories is the more visual representation of it and I like the art style. But most important is still the story for me.

It's another form of entertainment for me. Coming from a lot of cartoons it's easy to pick up on. I'm a big DC comics fan and I love stories with someone or something with tremendous power, an extremely BA protagonist. Kind of what does it for me in Anime.

It's just entertainment to me though. Relaxes me when I'm utterly bored.

Well let me just say that if the story is good then Action should be on the same level, you know what I mean ? Where there is no balance who would watch it ? And yes there are those kind of people who just watch it for Action as it might seems thrilling or something. I'm mostly like to watch something like Horror, Action or Romance anime as there is a lot of action and it doesn't bored me a lot when the story is on medium level.
