So my theory is that they MIGHT release it when they get enough money from Canadian and American cinemas. Tho I must say it's highly possible so I would aim somewhere in March or April.
idk...in France, Naruto is one of the most popular manga, making shitloads of money for more than a decade and still, we will only have the movie this autumn.
the french editor probably had to deal with the various cinema companies, only one company will show it and only in their tiny theaters which are always located in big cities.
animated movies are rarely everywhere here except for Disney/Pixar stuff.
if you want to watch something as famous as a Ghibli movie, it's way more difficult which is unfairh:
Well at least you will have some chance to watch it, where for some of us it's not possible at the moment. So you saying that you rarely have anime in France except Disney/Pixar ? I wonder if they release it in UK since I could travel there to my friend for couple of days to watch The Last and come back home =D
no we have them but not in big theaters for months unlike Disney/Pixar mainstream stuff.
these movies are not really promoted either except where i live because we have an international festival for animated movies, i'm super lucky compared to most people not living in a big city (that's how i saw many japanese stuff before the official international release date like with the last Saint Seiya movie for example).
