I haven't seen the whole movie yet, only clips, so I'm not familiar with the correct sequence of events. lol
It's funny how the people that disliked this thread couldn't come up with a decent explanation themselves.
I'm open to be enlightened, so feel free to tell me why OP is wrong instead of disliking for no other reason than being butthurt.

Apparently so. We all know this is false, just as Naruto not being able to break out of the genjutsu. It was for plot sake so he could see the memories of Hinata. Nothing less, nothing more.

It never said all forms of genjutsu, it said genjutsu. Resistance does not equal immunity, so I don't know why you brought that up. All it means is Sakura can resist, which Orochimaru could do.

Well that's true. Though when watching the movie Shikamaru stated it in the way that Sakura was resistant to genjutsu completely, as if it would not work at all. We all know Sakura has been genjutsu'd countless times, and we both know Byakgou seal does not protect her against genjutsu.
Unless she became a hidden Jinchuriki towards 699 - The Last, she shouldn't have immunity to any forms, while Naruto is a different cause. Being a perfect Jinchuriki gives him immunity to forms of genjutsu, and we both know that from actually reading the Manga. Also Naruto had to stay in the Genjutsu to view Hinata's dream so that he could understand her, and someone had to break them all out of it. So I guess Sakura was the former.
Lastly, the movie had a bunch of inconsistencies, which I could point out to you in a list since I've watched the movie a few times. It really shouldn't be taken seriously in a cannon format, despite it being labeled "cannon". I think the only part we are supposed to take seriously is the "love" part.
Right? Plot holes for everyone!

It worked on her though. From that we can tell that genjutsu does indeed work, she's just better at breaking them/resisting. She isn't immune and genjutsu can be broken with good chakra control which she has.
She doesn't have immunity though, she can still get caught.
Kishi could have easily done it another way. Like have the genjutsu be like Tsukiyomi and then have Kurama break him out. Kurama didn't break him out, so he can't break him out.
It really doesn't matter. The movie is canon and we can't pick and choose what is and what isn't.

Yes, in fact the genjutsu seemed simple to break out of it, as the person in the genjutsu would of obviously realized they were in a genjutsu state of mind. There was no torture or infliction of mental pain, though it was just plot saving them once again.
Well Kishimoto did not make the movie/plot, from what he told us he did the character designs and supervised it, but that doesn't mean he is directly involved in every single minute of the movie. Same goes for Naruto bringing out Kurama lol.
Very true. I don't think people will take that part seriously, especially since Naruto was forced as a character to stay in that form for Hinata. Manga facts > Movie, since Kishimoto actually created/directed the work. Good talking to you!
Just watch the movie and it was ok I guess.. The Genjutsu deal could very well be possible, even after Sakura free d all of them, shikamaru was fearful of them being caught again... Meaning they don't have the skills to escape but sakura..
The part with Kurama is just weird.. It was like Naruto was in chakra mode and the giant thing showed up and Kurama just jump out of Naruto without any indication..
My favorite part of the movie was when Hinata rub the ointment on Naruto's back.. That's was the only part where they looked like a real couple..

Naruto was never 1 shot by the genjutsu. The movie never proves he couldn't defeat the genjutsu. It just show us that Naruto never tried to defeat. That make sense because Naruto was using the genjutsu to learn about Hinata's feelings.
The most interesting thing about the genjutsu was Naruto ability to freely move through Hinata's genjutsu. That genjutsu worked by putting everyone in a dream like state and showing them their past. Yet, Naruto was somehow able to enter Hinata's genjutsu in his current form and freely move through the genjutsu. He was able to see and learn things Hinata that he wouldn't have learn if he was still stuck in his genjutsu. It appears like Naruto was somehow able to manipulate the genjutsu to his will.

Did he? I saw the movie and it doesn't show Naruto needing to be rescued. It shows Naruto never trying to defeat the genjutsu. It shows Naruto entering Hinata's genjutsu in his current form and freely move through the genjutsu. It shows Naruto using the genjutsu to learn about Hinata's feelings. That doesn't sound like someone that needs to be rescued. It appears Naruto was manipulating the genjutsu to his will.
