I just downloaded the free trial on my PS3. When I open it, something about a PSN card or promotion card pops up. The PS store said nothing about this before I downloaded it, so I safely assumed that nothing like this would be in the way of me playing the game.
Is there any way around this? Do I get a free code somewhere? If not, then I'd rather just delete it. It takes up quite a lot of space anyway.

Only those who bought the collectors edition of Final Fantasy Type-0 get the Final Fantasy 15 demo. Its a one time offer as well, meaning they won't be releasing a public demo. You either have to buy the the collectors edition of Type-0, or wait for 15 to be released.

PS Store should have supplied you with a 12-16 digit Promotion Code when you downloaded it. Check your account and then Promotion Codes to see if you have one there.

Other than that, I am unsure. once the trail is over though it's $15 a month to play.........If you got it on PS3..............You're going to have a ton of lag issues. With all the patches that have come out for it at this point. PS3 can barely handle the data. Better to play it on PC or PS4 if you have either.

EDIT: What C-Fighter Said could be the case as well. I bought FF14 a little over a year ago but the free trail ended for the Type-0 I believe. But Collector's Edition should still have a free trail.

Thanks for the useful info, man. I knew the trial seemed too good and simple to be true.
I kind of poor nowadays. I'll get all the best gaming essentials one day. As for now, I'm making do wih my PS3.

Wow. The info/details on the PS store literally says nothing about this. Thanks for clarifying it all for me, man. Saved me time and a headache.

I edited what I said, but I'll just quote you and restate it so you get a notification... Im not good with Roman numerals, so at first I believed you were referring to Final Fantasy 15, the next installment in the franchise. I now know thats not the case, so you don't have to buy Type-0 to play whatever you downloaded [I believe its Final Fantasy 14, if XV is 15]. Now, if you were also looking for a demo of 15, then you'd have to buy Type-0. But the demo you downloaded doesnt require, to my knowledge, anything of the sort.

However, seeing how they're handling 15's demo, I wouldn't be surprised if all their demos are timed, meaning its very possible your demo is expired.
