Can the 3rd Raikage tank Amaterasu?

These are both techniques that have superior destructive capabilities than that of Amaterasu.

So shouldn't he be able to tank it? The logic can be likened to Kurama's Chakra Shroud tanking Amaterasu and Tenpenshii

No it can't, as the Raikage attacked Sasuke once and got his arm engulfed in the flames ultimately. He even dodged them beforehand not to get a full shot, so if you gonna take that into consideration, no he can't.

Well chakra is chakra. Sandaime could easily shape the chakra of his armor or something.

The Raiton cloak does not have the same ability to block. Ay's arm was engulfed despite having his Raiton cloak up at the time.

That's not true. It works exactly the same. It even gave him the ability to block Sasuke's Chidori to an extent.

Given time, it'll burn through anything. Rasenshuriken is just a quick "boom" technique and once it's finished... it's over. Amaterasu will continue to burn it's target until there's nothing left. You have to either absorb it or find away to discard it.

Is everyone forgetting tht this doesn't really matter as amatrstsu burns slow as **** as ay was easily able to fight still and showed no type of pain from the black flames only took them off due to stop spreading which was still on his arm by time the fight ended... The third raikage has better body meaning even less hurting from black flames and slower burning ... And if burns ay tht slow during fight then surely it will burn the third even slower

As for tanking yes he can tank it his son did ... People fail to realize what tanking is tanking is when u get attacked by an attack and still is able to fight exp bee and Karin failed to tank amatratsu but ay did as he was able to continue fight no problem his dad should be able to do the same even lesserr struggle

Indeed, it'll take longer than most men, but his body will be ashes too, in a week or so. Amaterasu simply works differently from other jutsu, and it's burning ability has been said to be enough to burn through anything.
