I'm not a fanboy. Trust me. Kimimaro isn't that string that's all. He had difficult against drunk lee who was handicapped and couldn't use the gates.

Kimimaro was much more handicapped. Kabuto said his body was unable to move and he was fighting only with his will. As soon as he used bones as a defense Lee couldn't touch him.

Itachi stomps. Kimimaro is just nowhere near Itachi's level, even without his Sharingan. Itachi's elemental ninjutsu, skill with genjutsu outside of his Sharingan, and general level of skill were all beyond anything Kimimaro can counter.
