Question about Hinata.

What makes some people think she is a princess? Has the manga mentioned that? If so than what chapter because I just though she was suppose to be a clan leader not a princess to be honest.

New spoilers have also said that like Hagoromo's sons, Hamura's clan broke into two clans: Toneri (Strong body) -- Ashura (Strong Body Senju) / Hyuuga's (Powerful eyes) -- Uchiha (Powerful Eyes)

Whether what I read was true, I just cannot remember what the thread was actually called. I believe it might have been a Kaguya/Hagoromo related DB thing.

Similarly, Tsunade is referred to as a princess as well. They are both descended from powerful, influential clans, and therefore, get additional respect from those around them.

From the movie as everyone has said, she represents the main branch of the Hyuga clan. The main branch of the hyuga being descendents of Hamura. Hamura also had a split in family, Okutsuki(who lived on the moon) obtained the body of hamura or sage power, while the Hyuga obtained his eyes (byakugan). Both powers brought together get the tenseigon- I believe.

I believe we have had this discussion sometime before. Yes, the Hyuuga and some of the Otsutsuki (because others existed before Hagoromo and Hamura) did in fact come from Hamura, and both clans implemented a main house/branch house system. However, the Otsutsuki were all byakugan wielders that lost their byakugan because of Hamura, thus the body/eye comparison is a little off.

It's implied since people often add the -sama suffix which refers to her as a lady or lord. Because she's the heiress to the head of the hyuga.

Toneri refers to her as the "Byakugan Princess". Many possible reasons why, I don't exactly know.

both Hamura and Toneri called her the byakugan princess, she's probably just like Kaguya for her own clan: the heiress of the main branch = the princess of the entire clan (main + 2nd branch).
if it was a male heir, he would probably be called the byakugan prince.
