He was literally dying... And at that point was only moving due to extreme willpower. He was hooked to a bed with stuff stuck in him before he decided to fight Lee. And we talk about a pubescent boy, how old is Kimimaro? He doesn't look much older to be honest. And Lee being drunk actually HELPED him to the point that Gai once struggled to ground him.

Lol a guy who is dying who is literally maybe two years older tops is struggling to fight someone who recently healed broken bones and torn muscles but can still move around pretty fine and even made a full recovery.
