Doton: Renga no Jutsu is an extremely basic technique.

It's not about using, but using proficiently, or even mastering. It's not like any of them could use Doton: Yomi Numa straight away, as even Shikamaru is grunting there at such low level technique.

Yes, anyone can learn all 5, it seems(well, outside of those who are incapable of using chakra, ala Lee). However it's noted that it's practically unheard of that anyone is capable of using them proficiently. This is likely what earned Hiruzen his God of Shinobi title, doing something that 99% of ninja couldn't(master all 5).

exactly. that's why they needed to use the correct hand sign, so that they/chakra could be a part of the combo
combination ninjutsu is a very common & recurring theme throughout the manga
