The Legendary Sage of Konoha Series
July 2010 - July 2014

Series Finale, Part 6 - The Final Chapter;

The Legendary Sage of Konoha & The 6th Great Shinobi War
THIS IS THE END:

"So everything is about to come to an end, huh... Well, now that I think twice about it, I suppose it was always meant to be this way... It has been a long journey, but finally, my time has come to leave this world for good like all those before me... I can't help but wonder how it really is to be dead, I mean, what else lies beyond life itself? This is it, my last battle, and once it is over, I will finally be able to see you guys in the afterlife again... Heheh, it is time for me to let this world create its own path, and with it, a new Era of Peace shall bask in its light... Finally, my story comes to a deserving end... The Legendary Sage of Konoha... It was one heck of a journey, was it not??..."

"Are you coming or not?? We've been waiting for you, God it has been forever since we last saw you, Naruto-Kun..."

"!! Does this mean... It's already over?? Hinata, it really is you..."

"Come, take my hand, the rest are waiting for us..."

"Yoooooooossssssh!!!!"

"*Giggle* You really are just like I remember you to be..."

"Dad!!!"

"You are finally here!

"Hahaha, I knew you would come eventually grandpa!"

"So you finally decided to show huh Naruto...Heh, about damn time, it was starting to get boring without you!"

"It took awhile, but now that you are here, all of us can finally be reunited, hi-hi... Everyone else is here too, look!"

"?! That is... So this is what the afterlife looks like... Everyone! I'm home!!"

Naruto: ...

Ikari: What is going on, did you meet with the Ancient Wizard, have you found the Key to Peace-...

Naruto: So the war came to an end huh?? I suppose your plan worked out, did it not, Ikari?

Ikari: !! Huh, I... Yes, the war is over, but-...

Naruto: Good... Then everything is going as foreseen...

Ikari: So you two already met?

Naruto: Yes...

Ikari: So what happens now? Did you find the answer?

Naruto: I have but one thing left to do before the Curse of the Jubi is finally lifted...

Ikari: And that is??

Naruto: I have to leave this world... Once I do, I can never come back, the two of us will never meet again, Ikari... Only when past becomes future yet again, can I finally rest...

Ikari: !! Are you saying what I am hearing?!

Naruto: You are correct... The Jubi and I... We will have to die for True Peace to ever have a chance of happening.

Ikari: !!

Naruto: ...

Ikari: What do you mean by that, are you going to?!

Naruto: It is not as simple as it sounds like... Come, let's get out of here.

Ikari: !!

Grabbing a hold onto his hand, the two of them were then gone as they suddenly reappeared at the graveyard of Konoha.

Ikari: ?! This is!! I haven't been inside the Village since the day I returned from my training at Mt. Myobokuzan, I-...

Naruto: Ahh... It's been ages since I last placed foot here, in fact, it's been ages since I last visited Konoha now that I think about it...

Ikari: Naruto, why are we here??

Looking at him with a worried look on his face, Ikari paid attention as Naruto bent down and brushed some dust off the gravestone in front of himself.

Naruto: This is Hinata's grave...

Ikari: !!

Naruto: And beside it, Jiraiya and Miyuki, and Minato and Aiko's... As you can see, theirs are much bigger in size...

Ikari: Hokage-gravestones, but of course they are...

Naruto: I always pictured my own to be in between here some place, but, since my death was never confirmed, I suppose I was over time-... Forgotten... Damn it has been a long time since I last saw my family-...

Ikari: ?! What, are you saying that there is no memorial-stone in your honor here?!

Naruto: ...-And my daughter Kushina's... Her grave is in Suna by her husband Ebizo's, and his father Gaara's gravestones...

Ikari: Wait just a moment, Naruto I-...

Continuing to walk further down the path, Naruto then stopped by another stone as Ikari quickly followed.

Ikari: That is?!

Naruto: Uchiha Sasuke... It's been forever since he died... My greatest rival, and quite possibly, my closest friend... Hmm...

Walking even further down, Naruto went by several other graves as he read the markings on them as he did.

Naruto: Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi, Nara Shikamaru... Ahh, even Ero-Sennin has a grave here, and over there is my father and mother's as well-...

Ikari: Naruto... Why are we here all of a sudden? If there is something you need to get done, then-...

Naruto: No... I just wanted to see my family and friends' graves, one last time...

Ikari: I see...

Naruto: Here, I want to give you something...

Ikari: ??

Reaching for his neck, Naruto then took off a half blue, half green star shaped gem-necklace, which had a small living red and yellow fire burning bright inside its core, as he pulled it up from beneath his Hokage-robe. Giving it to Ikari, Naruto then placed it in his hand, closing it around the necklace as he let go of it. Opening up his hand right afterward, Ikari then looked at it for a bit before asking what it meant and why he was giving it to him.

Ikari: Naruto, why are you...

Naruto: It was something I acquired long, long time ago from my wife Hinata once I became the 6th Hokage... Then when I stepped down as Hokage, I gave it to my son Jiraiya as a symbol of him continuing my legacy when he became my successor, the 7th Hokage of Konoha. Once he stepped down many years later, he left it with his own son, Minato, as he became the next Hokage after him again. After Minato died ages later, I retrieved the necklace back from my great grandson, Naruto the 2nd...

Ikari: !! My great great grandfather you mean?!

Naruto: Yes... He said to me that after his rival Tadakatsu became the 9th Hokage of Konoha, he was not worthy of being in its possession after Minato- his father, as it should only be given to him if he one day became the next Hokage, something he never did. He was certain that I would understand as the necklace had been passed down in our family, only at the embarking-day of becoming the next Hokage, something which both my son and my grandson managed to do after me...

Ikari: This necklace seems to mean a lot to our family then I suppose...

Naruto: Since I left for Mt. Myobokuzan, I have only returned on a few rare occasions you see, and every time I've been here, I've always visited this place...

Ikari: I...

Naruto: I've been to all my friends' and family members' funerals, even if I have hid my real identity from the rest... The last time I was here was during Minato's funeral, and that is when my great grandson, your great great grandfather, gave it to me... And from this day onward, seeing as you have continued our family's legacy as Hokage, I now give it to you, Uzumaki Ikari... Hopefully, it will stay in your possession for many years to come...

Ikari: Naruto I, I don't know what to say, so much history and-... Thanks, I will take good care of it, that is a promise of a lifetime.

Putting it around his neck, Ikari had a comforting smile on his face.

Naruto: I know you will... Come, let's head to Mt. Myobokuzan.

Using the Flying Thunder God once more, the two of them were gone as they reappeared in the Great Temple. Once there, they were approached by Fukasaku and Shima.

Fukasaku: Ikari-San, Naruto-San, you have returned??

Naruto: Yes, but only temporary...

Shima: You have something to discuss, have you not?

Naruto: Yes, indeed I have...

Sitting down in his chair for the last time, Naruto went to explain what exactly went down, as Ikari left in his own inputs on how the war came to an end, every now-and-then. Having finally put it all out on the table, Naruto then stood up to his feet as he began walking slowly towards the other side of the room.

Fukasaku: So that is how it is huh...

Naruto: Fukasaku, Shima... I will have you two do whatever you deem to be right... Protect this place, keep it a secret, but don't restrain yourself... After all, you should be able to live out your remaining days, no matter how many or few you have left, the way you seem fit. I don't know exactly what will happen to this world nor this place once chakra disappears from it, but...

Fukasaku: You have my word Naruto...

Shima: Naruto-San...

Ikari: ...

Naruto: Ikari... You are with this, the last Toad Sage to be made, and thus, I will put my trust in you and pass my will over to you as my successor, meaning, whatever happens from this day onward, I am sure you will be able to handle it the best way you can, to ensure that people will keep walking the path of Peace... Here, take this back to Konoha, that way, people will know that the 6th Hokage of Konoha, is no more...

Reaching for his Hokage-robe, Naruto proceeded to take it off him as he folded it nicely before giving it to Ikari. Beneath his robe was the standard Konoha Jonin Uniform, as Naruto was looking more like his younger-self than he had in a while despite still being old of age.

Ikari: I understand, I will not disappoint you... I will make sure to raise a proper memorial-stone, not only for you, but for every Hokage there was! After all, the mountain can only fit seven heads...

Naruto: Hehe, if you deem that to be necessary, then by all means...

Shima: So True Peace will finally happen now, Naruto-San??

Having stopped in his tracks, Naruto then turned around towards her, as he had a smile on his face.

Naruto: I believe so, yes...

Reaching his hand out in front of himself, Naruto then used the remaining chakra he had left in him as he recreated the Pedestal of Time right before him on the ground. Reaching for his back, Naruto then drew the Master Sword holstered on his back, as he was ready to thrust it into it, and thus, making the jump through time.

Ikari: Wait, you're leaving already?!

Naruto: Yes... There is no reason to hang around any further, after all, my journey is still long before I can finally return to this day and complete the last piece of my destiny, and thus, head on to the afterlife...

Fukasaku: Naruto-San... For whatever it is worth, I would never have expected your prophecy to be this hard... If I could only share your burden, I would...

Naruto: Hehehe, I know you would, Fukasaku... Thanks for everything you two have taught me, as without you two, I would never be where I am today...

Shima: Take care Naruto, if anyone can do it, it's you...

Naruto: Thanks...

Ikari: Naruto... Do your best!!

Naruto: I will! Ikari, keep our lineage strong, it is up to you now to lead the world to a better future!

Ikari: You can count on me!!

Kurama: Do it Naruto, this is your destiny!!

Jubi: One last push!!

Naruto: Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggghhh!!!!

Ikari: Naruto!!!!!!!!

Using his share might, Naruto stabbed the Master Sword hard into the Pedestal of Time, as a bright blue light suddenly shot up from it, emerging his entire body into it as it did.

Naruto: This is it...

Turning around, Naruto had a smile on his face as he reached his right fist out towards the three of them. Meeting with his fist one last time, the three of them watched as Naruto disappeared into the light as it retracted into the sword before them. Naruto had left the world, both into the past and into the future. The tale of the Legendary Sage of Konoha, was coming to an end...

Ikari: He's truly, gone...

Fukasaku: This will mark the day of a new beginning, Ma... I suppose we no longer are needed as teachers here huh...

Shima: When you say it like that Pa, it all feels so... Strange really... Ikari-San, what will you do now?

Ikari: Hmm...

Pondering some on the question, Ikari then made up his mind.

Ikari: I will go discuss the matter with the rest of the Alliance. After that, we'll see what will happen...

Fukasaku: I see... Well then, take care kid.

Ikari: I will, you two as well!

Shima: Until we meet again then!

Clapping his hands together, Ikari was then gone in a flash as he reappeared beside the Rai Clan's Main Camp. Still there discussing how to proceed, the rest was pleasantly surprised to see Ikari returning so soon as they debriefed him on what they had discussed while he was away, welcoming him in the process.

Kitsuke: Ah, there you are.

Zise: So did you figure things out?

Ikari: Yes, everything is as it should be...

Raikiru: Well then, shall we continue?

After hearing what they had to say, Ikari then laid out the details of his encounter with Naruto and how everything should now come to an end. He then went on to propose to bring things to a temporary conclusion for now, as the rest of them firmly agreed, having already released the prisoners captured earlier back to the Rai Clan. With Raikiru now in charge and with Raido being Second in Command, the will to keep battling had already settled down in the Clan as Raikiru had taken full command over the forces. Peace was on the horizon, for the first time in a long, long time. Taking their leave back to the Allied Camp, a meeting to settle the future was set in two days' time, and as the two days went rapidly by, so approached the meeting. Having gathered representatives from the five villages and the Rai Clan inside one of the tents in the Allied Camp, the meeting could then commence.

Ikari: Glad you all made it, now, let's figure out how to approach the future...

Having a determined look on his face, Ikari was ready to leave this war behind them and head back home to Konoha, but first, first they needed to settle things. Representing Kumo was Kitsuke, Kiri was Zise, Iwa was a guy named Koke, and from Suna a guy named Baron, all having been made temporary Kages with the likelihood of becoming the next Kages in their respectively villages later on. Also, beside the four of them were Raikiru representing the Rai Clan, as well as Ikari representing Konoha.

After looking over the terms laid out by Ikari and Raikiru, the six of them agreed on a contract as the remainder of the Rai Clan was given an area just outside of Konoha in the Fire Country to build their own village, with the promise of electing a Kage of their own afterwards and joining the Alliance in Peace. The Shinobi World Alliance would then have a Kage-meeting twice a year to secure good relations between the villages for the generations to come, until the promised day where chakra would cease to exist in the world at least came to be. Also, after suggestion from Zise, Ikari was made the 2nd Sekaiteki-Kage of the Shinobi World Alliance and the war was finally laid behind them. Taking their leave, the five Kages started making preparations for their home-journey, as the Rai Clan also made haste to prepare themselves to accompany Ikari and the rest of the Konoha Shinobi back to the Fire Country. Not long after, the Five Villages' Kages made one last sign of cooperation with Raikiru and the Rai Clan by shaking each others' hands, before they all started heading back to their respectively villages.

Was this really the end, and would True ever-lasting Peace truly exist from this day onward?? The war had been brought to an end and Naruto had ventured on towards his final Journey, but what more was there left to be told? With a smile on his face, Ikari could finally look ahead at the promised future Naruto always had dreamt about.

[...]

Peace... Having at last returned to Konoha Village, for the first time since he paid a short visit there after his training on Mt. Myobokuzan ended, four and a half years prior, together with the other short visit he spent there visiting the graveyard with Naruto right after the war came to an end a few days ago, Ikari could finally enter his new office as the Hokage of Konoha, three days after they returned. The last time he entered the very same room, he was just a Genin, but this time, this time around he was the Hokage himself. It felt strange, yet satisfying, as Ikari sat down in his chair, also for the first time, thinking about the last wise words Naruto said to him. A grin formed on his face as he intertwined his hands on the desk in front of himself, this was what he always had dreamt of. Countless thoughts ran through his head as he stared at the exit-door before him. The names of the countless lost during the seven years long war flew by his mind as he thought of Rin, Akuma-Sensei, Utakata, Hanzo, Reiji, Kaito, Jin, Maki, Haku, Nakimura, Izuna, and all the others. The war had left its deep wounds, and even though they could finally look at the future with a brighter mind, all the ones who had to die for them to get there, would always be remembered as painful scars in their victory. Yet, without their sacrifices, they would never have got where they now stood, and Ikari, he would never forget the memories of them, especially Rin and his old Sensei Akuma.

Ikari: ...

Damn it, why did he have to start thinking about this now? He just couldn't help it... Ceasing to smile, Ikari couldn't help feel that he could have done more, that he should have been able to do more, that he wasn't suppose to be the one to become Hokage... After all, countless people had to die for him to get there. He knew very well that there was nothing more he could do about that now, but Ikari still couldn't fully convince himself to relax, to stop blaming himself. He felt that he couldn't be happy, that he didn't have any reasons to... It was then that finally something to brighten up his day arrived. A message, from one of his last remaining true friends.

*Knock, Knock*

Ikari: !! *Kremt* Ehm, ple-ase enter...

Breaking his thought-process completely, Ikari looked at the woman entering the room as it was none other than Ibuki herself. She was crying, but it didn't seem to be out of sadness, rather on the contrary, she hadn't been happier in ages. Without as much as getting a word out of her, Ikari looked stumbled as she ran over to him and grabbed a hold onto his hand, signaling him to come with her. Not really knowing what to make out of it, Ikari decided to follow, but he did still not get a single answer out of her, to neither of his many questions. Continuing to ask her why she was so happy and where they were going, Ikari then suddenly began to realize that something indeed was up as he saw the sign of Konoha Hospital in front of them.

Ikari: !! Ibuki, why are we going here?!

Ibuki: ...

Still not getting a word from her, the two of them entered the hospital, went down the hall, before turning around a corner and coming into a room. Ikari immediately knew who the person in that room was going to be, even before they got there, but he had no idea what he was going to see.

Ikari: !!

Entering the room behind her, Ikari then finally understood. It was about Bruce... And Bruce... Bruce he was alive and well.

Ikari: Bruce, you're-... You're awake?!!

Before him in the hospital-bed, sat Bruce up straight as he had finally awoken from his coma, still in shock of what had happened to him and in the war afterwards. Going over to him, the two of them sat down by him as Ibuki continued where she left off before leaving to get Ikari. Also in the room sat Inba and Yoshi, as they too had been alerted to Bruce's waking up.

Ibuki: Bruce, you... You were out for a year, and much has happened since that day twelve months ago, I-...

Bruce: So it was true after all huh...

Ikari: !!

Reaching his hand out, Bruce touched Ikari's Hokage-robe gently as he let part of it slide through his hand. He was happy for him, but at the same time, this confirmed that everything he only could remember as a distant dream, his sister and father dying, and he himself being broken to pieces as well, was in fact not just a dream, but the reality of that fateful day.

Bruce: ... Congratulation, Ikari...

Still being short in words after waking up, Bruce could only utter parts of what he wanted to say. Knowing him almost too well, almost feeling his soul cringe in sadness and devastation, Ikari didn't know what to say, he was too speechless. Laying his right hand on Bruce's shoulder, Ikari tried to form a smile on his face, but he was too shook up. It wasn't that Bruce was mad or more sad for Ikari becoming the next Hokage after his father, or, that was at least not the first thing on his mind. The fact that he couldn't protect his sister, and that he could do nothing to stop his father from dying too, was a too heavy burden for him to bear. It didn't help that he had been in coma for this long either, missing out on the chance to take his revenge, but to make it even worse, there was even more bad news to be told. The fact that he was still alive, felt for some reason wrong, it left a bitter taste in his mouth. Why couldn't he have taken their place instead?

Bruce: Why can't I-... Why can't I feel my legs...??

Inba: Bruce, I...

Yoshi: ...

Ikari: What, what's up?!

Ibuki: ...

Bruce: Answer me!!

Inba: Bruce, you shouldn't hasten to call forth any unnecessary emotions by hearing the bad news at this stage, I'm not sure if it is the right timing to-...

Bruce: Just tell me if you know Inba!

Inba: I-...

Yoshi: Your spiral-core was completely crushed in that battle Bruce... We tried, but as you were still in a deep coma, there was only so much your body could take... I'm afraid... There was nothing we could do to reverse it, I... We did our best, but it was not enough...

Bruce: ... So that's why huh...

Ikari: Why haven't I heard this before?!

Obviously shocked hearing this, not only good news came with Bruce's awakening. Having lost all feelings from his waist and down, he would never be able to walk up straight again, never be able to jump or even fight. His life as a Shinobi was over... Realizing this, Bruce only got more and more mad, to the point where Inba and Yoshi almost had to restrain him from falling into a rage. Ikari couldn't take it, and standing up from his chair, he simply left the room without a word.

Ibuki: Ikari, where are you going?!

Just about to go after him, Ibuki was held back by Inba as he signaled Yoshi that the two of them would go and talk to him. Sitting down by the bedside, Ibuki laid her head gently down on Bruce's chest as he had a lifeless stare in his eyes. Continuing to tell him what happened after he fell into a coma, how the war ended, how Akuma died and how Ikari became Hokage, just more and more sadness grew on him. He couldn't be happy, no matter how much he tried to. The war was over, but it had simply cost too much.

Ibuki: I don't suppose you get this Bruce, but I know what Ikari was thinking, ever since he accepted the title of Hokage... His plan, his dream was to end the war, to see you waken up alive and well... Ikari never told me this in person, but he-... his plan-... He wanted-... He wanted you to...

Not managing to hold back the tears any longer, Ibuki began to cry on his chest. Still not knowing what to make out of it all, Bruce continued to stare ahead at the wall in front of himself.

Inba: Ikari wait-...

Ikari: What?!

Having stormed out the hospital to get some air, Ikari finally halted as Inba and Yoshi caught up to him.

Yoshi: Why are you storming off like that?! Aren't you just happy for Bruce being alive, that he has finally woken up, that-...

Ikari: As my two advisers, I would have expected you to get it, I... This changes everything!

Inba: Changes everything how?!

Ikari: Why weren't I alerted of this?! Bruce he... He was suppose to... I was suppose to let him take... Take over as Hokage when and if he finally woke up, I-... With me becoming the 2nd Sekaiteki-Kage of the Shinobi World Alliance, it would have fitted perfectly, I-...

Yoshi: !!

Inba: ...

Slamming his hand into a nearby building-wall, Ikari then finally calmed down, realizing that he had to control his emotions...

Inba: Ikari, I had no idea you... What you said back then...

Thinking back to the meeting where Ikari lashed out at the rest for neglecting Bruce's chance at becoming Hokage just because he was in a coma, Inba remembered very well how Ikari did all he could to make them reconsider, letting them know how unfair it was, how strongly Bruce would have wanted to succeed his father with everything that happened.

Ikari: Sigh... I guess nothing can be done about it now then... Alas, perhaps the destiny Naruto foretold was not of the true happiness of a dream-world, but of the harsh reality of this world...

Inba: Ikari...

Ikari: In the end though I suppose this is the effect of life, I get that, and thus, I shouldn't be so quick dismantling that dream, but still, with him finally waking up, I would never have expected him to be left in this state, my plan was suppose to come to fruition, I-...I'll let Ibuki get Bruce up to speed with what he's missed out on before I'll go talk to him personally. Until then, I'll...

Inba: Ikari...

Yoshi: ...

Ikari: I'll head over to the office. I could probably do more good over there than I'm able to here right now...

Slowly walking down the street, Inba and Yoshi watched as Ikari turned around the corner of a building, disappearing from their sight without even being able to say a word to prevent him from doing so. He had his rights to be upset, but perhaps he was putting too much thoughts in it?

Yoshi: That kid... He's going to become a great Hokage, if not one of the greatest there was. He perhaps hasn't realized it himself yet, but I am sure he will one day. The passion he shows for his friends and those he cares for... That is the spirit of a true Kage, even more so than Jin ever showcased. Although the road he has walked have been hard, it will eventually lead him to where he's destined to be... Come Inba, let's take a walk.

Inba: ...To where?

Yoshi: To the nearest Sake-Bar...

Inba: Geez...

Taking their leave from the scene as well, the two of them were also gone shortly thereafter.

[...]

Another day in Konoha, as the morning sun rose over the Hokage-mountain top with the heads of the seven first Hokages carved out and displayed in it. With Hashirama the first Hokage on the far left side, and Jiraiya the seventh Hokage on the far right. It had been two weeks since they all returned to Konoha, since the war finally ended now, and much had happened since then. Kitsuke had become the 12th Raikage of Kumogakure, succeeding Maki as the next one in line, while Zise had gone from adviser to becoming the 12th Mizukage of Kirigakure after Utakata. The shinobi named Baron had been elected the 12th Kazekage of Sunagakure after Haku, being a descendant of the past Kazekages Gaara and his son Ebizo, and also, that other shinobi named Koke, had become the 14th Tsuchikage of Iwagakure after Nakimura. To top this, the building-plan for a village to the Rai Clan had already come far as almost all the construction workers in the entire Alliance had been put to the task to help them out, thus ensuring that they did not have to wait long before moving in. Being as kind as he was, Ikari had even put up temporary houses for them to live in, inside of Konoha, and the upcoming Kage of the halfway-finished village, Raikiru, had spent several hours panning out the future together with Ikari. With a new great village being built inside the Fire Country, a plan of cooperation surely had to be made for them to be able to live side by side in the years to come. However, being as close as the two had come to be during the past war, they had not a single problem figuring things out. In fact, the world had not been at such peace since... Well, since ages. Ikari had even joked about what the name of the new village should be and what its Kage should be called, being that since there already was a "Hokage" inside the Fire Country, they had to be creative. Suggesting that they named the new village, the Hidden Leaf's Root Village and that they should name their Kage the Mini-Hokage, could only make Raikiru laugh; what the final names for the two terms would be though, had still yet to be decided.

During these two weeks that had come to be, Ikari had also put forth a plan to build a Memorial Museum for the past Kages of the entire Shinobi World Alliance as the project rapidly begun its initial phase, taking place just beside the Hokage-mansion itself. Inside it, real-life figures carved out in stone was set for all the Kages of the past, including those past Hokages who already had had their faces carved out in the mountain behind the mansion by earlier generations. This was an idea he had come to think of after his last conversation with Naruto, as well as seeing how the other villages honored their Kages by having the same concept, just for their own Kages instead. And to make things even more interesting, Ikari had gathered as much personal equipment of the past Kages as he had managed to collect, to add to their memorial stone-figures, even going so far as to find his great great grandfather's Sword of The Thunder God which had been passed on to him ages earlier, placing it by the 2nd Hokage of Konoha, Tobirama's statue. Over at the sixth Hokage of Konoha, Uzumaki Naruto's statue, hung his famous Hokage-robe firmly wrapped around him, something which was the last thing Ikari received from Naruto himself before he left this world for good. The whole museum was a nice gesture by Ikari, and it quickly gained the eyes of the entire world upon it in the coming years after its establishment, praised for its creativity, and thus, becoming one of the most attractive attractions of the next century, mostly due to the fact that not only had the past Hokages a place there, but all the Kages of the past as well. Heck, even the ones from the villages that were yet to be part of the Alliance had their place inside the museum, encouraging as many villages as possible to join, making it one of the rarest collection on earth. The first section displayed the Hokages with carefully picked out information on all of them, and so followed the rest the further you walked into the museum. Among the many facts that was displayed there, most people came to believe that the one about the Sixth Hokage of Konoha being the strongest Kage of all time, to be true, but this was only one of many which had been created for the many statues displayed there. Over time, Ikari got even more creative, and thus, the different advisers that the many Kages had had, also found their way inside the museum eventually, taking their place beside the Kage they served. In one sense, this lead to a popular game by the many kids that came to visit, to see which advisers served the most Kages, and which one of them eventually became a Kage of their own some day. To add to the facts about who served the longest as Kage, who were the youngest to become Kage, and so forth, an own section was made to display the Sekaiteki-Kages of the Shinobi World Alliance. This idea though was only brought in many years later as the museum continued to expand, and for the very first time, the idea was brought up by someone else than Ikari himself entirely. In fact, it was his old friend Raikiru who came up with the suggestion, as he had his own grandson personally handle the final adjustments to the two Sekaiteki-Kage statues himself, one of Naruto the 6th Hokage and the 1st Sekaiteki-Kage, and one of Ikari the 11th Hokage and the 2nd Sekaiteki-Kage. This was only one of many internal collaboration projects the two of them and their families had in the following decades after the war ended, thus, strengthening the relationship between the two villages even further. If there was one note Ikari would not allow Raikiru's grandson to add to his statue right away however, was the suggestion Raikiru came up with, stating that Ikari was the only Kage to date to have had his life saved thrice by another Kage, something which Ikari found so amusing, that he eventually allowed the note to be scripted in. After all, that particular note was more true than most in the entire museum.

As the third week of Peace finally began, after much planning and much work having been needed to be taken care of during the course of the two past weeks first, Ikari had not got anywhere near getting used to the current situation as Hokage yet, but he was still doing the best he could, trying to squeeze in time for everyone he felt needed a visit beside work, amongst them Bruce and Ibuki. He had after all been doing nothing else than training and battling for the past seven years with only one focus at mind, so of course he had not had much time to actually act as a Hokage after succeeding Jin, other than going to war. He felt tired, and thus, these two weeks of Peace had been nothing else than exactly what he needed, what they all needed. To make things even better, his friend Bruce had awoken from coma as well, and everything looked very promising. The future ahead... The path before him felt good, it felt right, for once in his life. However, with all that was going on, there was something behind the scenes taking place that was on the verge of disturbing the happiness, something which Ikari wasn't fully aware of at first. Over at Bruce's house where Ibuki now lived, the last two weeks had been strange... Not only hadn't Bruce said much, not to the people he met outside, not to Ikari when he visited him in person, not even to Ibuki herself, but in fact, Ikari hadn't been able to see him much since the day he woke up, much due to a lot of paperwork and arrangements with the other villages having to be taken care of first, and therefore, he hadn't been able to sense it. He thought it was because he had been in coma for a year, and that it was only natural to feel weird, to feel sad... Bruce he, he wasn't as energetic as before, as inspired. It seemed like he had given up. Just sitting there in his wheelchair looking out the window, Ibuki couldn't do anything else than to feel sorry for him. Her encouraging didn't help much either, even when she took him for a walk down the street. Bruce was blaming himself for not being able to protect his sister and father, for not being able to protect Rin and Jin. He had to quit being a shinobi, spending the rest of his life on the sideline in a wheelchair. He felt useless, his life felt meaningless. Why did this have to happen, how did it happen? He couldn't live up to the legacy that was left behind for him, he couldn't walk in the footsteps of his father and great grandfather before him. He had failed... All those feelings made him so messed up inside, so mad, that he eventually started getting thoughts... Thoughts that he never would have guessed could become a reality someday just a few years ago. Ibuki tried talking with him, but whenever she brought up the subject of the two of them still being together, asking how Bruce felt, she never got any real reply back. He couldn't bother, he didn't have enough strength to care anymore. It was then that he set his mind on the unthinkable.

*Door Opens*

Ibuki: Okay I'm home Bruce, I hope you're not mad at me for running a bit late-... Ehm... Where is he??

Looking over at the usual spot by the window, Ibuki was surprised to see nobody there. Thinking that he might have gone for a stroll outside, Ibuki didn't think much more about it as she started packing out the groceries in the kitchen. As she got there, she found a letter which had her name on it as she opened it up and started reading. Her eyes widened, her heart-beat began to rise. She couldn't believe what she was reading, she fell in shock, losing the letter on the ground below her. She felt like she was about to pass out, but then she realized that she had to do something before it was too late. She ran outside towards the small riverbed running through Konoha to the South-West. It had to be there, that used to be his favorite place in all of Konoha. As she got closer and closer, she saw a bunch of people standing by the bridge crossing over to the other side of the river as they were talking with each other indistinctly. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but she knew something was up. She ran towards them as she began to work her way through the crowd.

Man 1: Why did this have to happen, poor young man... Now that the war finally came to an end too...

Woman 1: I suppose you can't blame him though, but this...

Man 2: Someone take him down already, it's not a stand-up show going here...

Ibuki: !! No, it can't be-...

Finally getting through, Ibuki saw what everyone else was talking about, what she had feared from the moment she read the letter. She fell to the ground crying helplessly. Hanging from the bridge before her was Bruce, and there was no sign of life... Having chosen to end his life prematurely, only his wheelchair was left of top of the bridge as Ibuki tried to go over to him, only to be held back by some of the people realizing that she knew the man. Trying to comfort her, they could only watch as she fell into an emotional rage. Some of the men got together to help Bruce's body down, and seeing this, Ibuki got even more outraged, almost to the point telling them to not touch his body. Just as the situation was heating itself up even further, the Hokage himself arrived to the scene as he too, together with his two advisers, fell in great despair and devastation. Running over to Ikari, Ibuki cried helplessly in his arms as Ikari froze on the spot he was standing. He had no idea what to say or do... He just couldn't believe it...

"Dear Ibuki... It's me, Bruce. I know I haven't said much lately since I woke up, and there's a reason for it. I can't take it anymore, this life, the way it has turned out for me. My sister and my father, I should have saved them, and then there was Akuma-Sensei too... And now, now I'm just a cripple, stranded in this damn wheelchair for the rest of my life. I can't do a thing without help, I just... I can't take it, it so humiliating, so frustrating. Everyday I think about it, and seeing Ikari as the strong Hokage he is, I can only lament my own ability, not being able to live up to the expectations everyone had for me, not being able to take my father's place and avenge him. I'm reduced to nothing, not a leader, not a shinobi, not a man, not even a person... I can't even be the man you need me to be. I can't let you have this burden upon you Ibuki, it destroys me to see you like this, perhaps even more than it does for you seeing me like I am now. I still love you with all my heart and I always will, nothing can change that, but, I can sense it, not everything is as it used to be. I've been out for a long time, but my senses are still pretty strong. It's useless, hopeless to even give it a try... We can never be what we were in the past, I can never give you kids, I can never... There's no point for me to continue this miserable existence, not anymore. I suppose it's due to my strong sense that I've realized that I only have one choice, no matter how hard it is, or how hard it will get for you and Ikari, and I know you probably will think of me as a coward for doing so, that I should have come to you guys first, but... No, I have already made up my mind, no going back, it's the only thing I can do now. If not for me, then for you and Ikari... May you live long my beautiful, and no matter what you do from here on and out, I will not blame you. You are finally free again, as it was always meant to be. Goodbye my love, until the afterlife."

[...]

Just standing in his office at the Hokage-mansion a few hours later, Ikari was looking out the window as the last rays of the sun disappeared beyond some dark clouds forming on the sky before him; behind him on the desk, laid a glass and an empty bottle of sake. He was just standing there, watching as the people below hurried inside their homes. Ikari was caught in his own thoughts, he was thinking about everything that had happened lately, how the war had finally ended, but even with the pain and the suffering that the war brought with it gone, Ikari and the rest in Konoha had still more bad news to come, something that they all had been very affected by; the morning news of his good friend Bruce committing suicide. It was so surrealistic, so painful, he could not even begin to understand why he chose such a way to end his life, why would Bruce do that, when he had fought for so long to wake up from his coma, and only two weeks after he finally did wake up? He should have sensed it, stopped it somehow, but Ikari he... He just didn't know how to deal with this one. It was one too many in the endless train of pain and sorrow, a train that never seemed to stop going. The war was over god damn it, this was not suppose to happen, not the way he himself or anyone else had planed for! The only thing he could do was to block all of it out, to stop thinking and just accept that life goes on, and that Bruce he-... He had his reasons to end it like he did. He was so devastated by the news that he didn't even feel the effect of the bottle of sake he had just been drinking. He felt empty, weak, helpless... Watching as the rain began to fall from the skies outside, a few of those drops fell on the window in front of him, and as he was staring outside, someone suddenly entered the room without him even noticing at first, without even a word to let him know that she was there. Turning around to face the person, Ikari knew immediately that the following conversation was going to be a hard one at the realization of who it was.

Ikari: Ibuki, I'm so sorry... How are you coping-...

He wasn't even able to finish his sentence. Only a mere second passed before she was up in his face crying. This time it was different, he could feel her heart struggling to beat properly, she was beyond devastated. Hugging him as hard as she could, Ikari could only lay his arms around her to try and comfort her, but he knew... He knew that there was nothing he could say or do to make things better, not this time around. He had lost Rin, Akuma-Sensei and now Bruce too, he began to cry, harder than he ever had before, his legs started shaking, rendering him unable to stand up straight anymore, to stand on his feet. She was still clinging on to his neck as he fell back into his Hokage-chair standing behind them. She sat down in his lap. The two of them were still hugging each other, crying, helplessly... He was speechless. Ikari couldn't think clearly, it felt like her great devastation made his even worse. He felt like he was dying. Was he going to have a heart-attack? It certainly felt like it. His breathing was uncontrollable and he only managed to utter a few words.

Ikari: Ibuki... I-... I-... I'm so sorry... Rin, Akuma-Sensei, and now Bruce as well, I-... Seeing you like this, I-... I can't take it, my heart... We've lost everyone, Team 7... They are all-... All, gone... I don't get it, why would he, why would Bruce-... Why now, he-... he... I'm all alone, you're all that's left Ibuki, I-... If I lose you too-...

Having refused to let go of him, clinging on to him with her heart's content ever since she entered the room, Ibuki then finally loosened her grip as she began to wipe away some of her own tears before then wiping away some of his as she looked at him. Their clothes were soaked up by the endless river of tears. The pain, it refused to go away and the two of them were both helpless, just sitting there as her sulking finally stopped.

Ibuki: Ikari... Don't say that Ikari-... I... You won't ever lose me, you hear? You need to stay strong, stay focused... You are the Hokage, the leader, the role-model of this village... You need to stay strong for all of us okay? For yourself, for me, for Inba, for Yoshi, for the villagers... For your son... He needs his father now more than ever, and I... Whatever happens, happens... There's nothing we can do about it now. But I promise you, this is the turning point, it just has to be, I-... I'll be fine, and so will you... We've been through so much together, survived the war, got through the pain... As long as we have each other, we will be okay... We will be okay... We will come over it, I-... I-... As long as you continue to stay strong, we will all be fine. You got your son, you got Makar... He will help you to remind you that not all in this world is bad, while I-... I'll stay strong too... By watching you...

Ikari: Ibuki, please... Please don't act tough just for me okay, I can clearly see how-... This is destroying you, even more than it is me, and I can't even begin to take it, so I can only imagine how you feel... I just can't take it... Not anymore, it's all empty in here, my heart feels dead of all the pain and suffering it has experienced these past years... This Peace was suppose to bring an end to all this, like Naruto promised, like he dreamt about, not continue to make things this hard, I don't understand, I just-...

Laying his right hand on his chest, Ikari took a deep breath. His tears had stopped too, but his pain, his pain was too great to simply let go. He had managed to keep his cool, at least for a little while, but, the moment she came to him, the moment she entered the room he knew... He knew he could not keep his act up any longer. It had been a year since Rin died, a year since Akuma-Sensei had died, and now with Bruce gone too, Ikari's heart was all messed up. He loved his son, he cared for his friends, but ever since Rin died, there was a vital part of Ikari missing. He felt stone-cold when it came to feelings. He missed her everyday of his life, and all he had, to decrease that pain, was his son and his friends. It didn't help much though when everyone were dying around him, even after the war had finally ended, and when everything was suppose to be alright. Laying her hand on top of his, Ibuki felt his heart beat as she removed his hand from beneath hers, putting her own hand on his chest.

Ibuki: You are wrong Ikari...

Ikari: ...

Ibuki: I can clearly feel your heart right here...

Ikari: !!

Ibuki: And it's still beating. Konoha's Will of Fire has always been strong in you, perhaps the strongest I've seen... Don't let your sadness cloud your vision...

Ikari: Ibuki I-...

Ibuki: ...

He had nothing... There was nothing else he felt like saying, he was out of words, for the first time in his life he felt like there was nothing else to be said. He fell in a trance as he looked at her. Her beautiful green eyes, swimming in what was left of her tears. She tried to smile, but she couldn't, she was too shook up. A tear left the corner of her eye as it escaped down her chin. A silent mood filled the air, but it was comfortable, it didn't feel awkward or strange. Slowly, but steadily, she got closer to him. Closer and closer, until their nose-tips met. She closed her eyes, her breathing-rate increased, cuddling with her nose as he could feel her warm breath breathing upon him.

Ikari: Ibuki... What are-... You doing??...

Ibuki: ...

She steered her nose down to the side, along his chin and towards his ear, but not that far. Her mouth was just inches away from his, was she going to... He closed his eyes anticipating it. He didn't care anymore, he didn't bother to say anything else or try to stop it. He let it happen, even though the memories of Bruce was still fresh in his mind. He felt no regret, no remorse, after all, she was the one to kiss him. He was too sad to care, too devastated. Their lips met, for the first time in seven years. Ever since that rainy day before he left for Mt. Myobokuzan to train. That time, they were sixteen, now they were 23. Much had changed since then, but the kiss, he recognized it, it was the same. Not as gentle as Rin's touch, but more true, more passionate. He hadn't felt the touch of a woman in a year, he had been too busy fighting for the Peace, looking out for his son. Was this what he wanted, what he needed? Why did he let it happen, why didn't he turn his head away? She continued kissing him, and she had no intention to stop either. They probably kissed for a minute before Ikari finally broke away.

Ibuki: ...

Ikari: Ibuki wait, I-... I can't... We can't... It's... Too soon, I-... Why would you do such a thing, why now at this very day??

Ibuki: ...

Looking down, still with her arms wrapped around him and still sitting in his lap, Ibuki didn't say a word. She just listened, she cared for what he said, but she didn't know how to control her feelings, not anymore...

Ikari: Bruce he-... It wouldn't be right, his memory... You two were, you two were together for as long as we were Ibuki, even much longer than that... I'm-... I'm too destroyed mentally right now to think clearly... Ever since Rin died, I-... I haven't really had time nor strength to-...

Ibuki: Bruce made his choice alright... And so did I just now... I loved you once Ikari, perhaps even deep down inside, a part of me still do... And I loved Bruce too, but, a year in coma, I-... I had kind of given up on him, on us, a long time ago, I had-... I had moved on... I felt obligated to still love him, but-... I didn't know what I wanted, and when he woke up, I-... I didn't know what to think. I didn't get a chance to talk to him about it before he-... Before he-... And now... I was not caught up in the moment just now Ikari, I was not just seeking comfort for all the pain and suffering we've been through, for Bruce deciding to end his life without as much as consulting either one of us first today. That is not it, that is not why I kissed you-... I... I've kind of... For the past few months I've... I don't know how else to say it, it just felt right, I-... I guess what I'm saying is that my old feelings for you might have returned somehow, and even though I haven't dared to say anything to you before, this very moment is what I've wanted, at least for the past three or so months, ever since...

Ikari: ... Ibuki, I had no idea you felt this way, I-... I don't know what to say... Then why did you not say anything before, why did you wait this long before-...!!

She kissed him yet again, and this time even more intensely. Ikari almost had to reach his arms out to try to avoid falling backwards, but he was too late. The chair tipped over as she landed on top of him, still kissing him passionately. He couldn't stop her, he wasn't mentally strong enough, he... He didn't want to stop her, but at the same time, he felt like he had to try, like he was obliged to. Trying to grab a hold onto her shoulders to try and push her aside, Ikari saw his attempt easily stopped as his arms were pushed aside instead. She intertwined her fingers with his as she pushed his hands down towards the floor, it felt like she was almost forcing herself on him. Turning his head to the side, Ikari finally caught a break, but it did not last long however.

Ikari: *Gasp* Ibuki, what are you doing, hang on a moment-...

Grabbing on to his head, she once more reached out for him as she kissed him yet another time. This happened over and over again, as every time he tried to push her aside, he simply couldn't. There was no strength left in his body to oppose her. He didn't know what to do or what he wanted.

Ikari: *Gasp, Gasp* Ibuki, it's not like I don't want to, but, but-...

Ibuki: Hush....

Ikari: !!... *Gasp* Ibuki have you completely lost it, we can't do this, not here, not now-...

Grabbing a hold onto his hat, Ibuki tossed it aside as she loosened the rope on his cape as well, before she started to work on his uniform.

Ikari: !! Ibuki, I'm the Hokage, you can't do this, we can't do this, not here, not in the office, I-...

Ibuki: Just please shut your pretty mouth for a few seconds Ikari, there's no need to talk any further...

Ikari: Crazy! This is crazy, Ibu-...!!

Ibuki: Just stop talking I said you silly fool...

Ikari: I-...

As she sat up to remove her own shirt, Ikari saw the chance to get away. Clapping his hands together, Ikari was just about to use the Flying Thunder God, but before he even managed to think where to go, she had already grabbed a hold onto his hands again, placing them on her hip. Seeing this, Ikari used his last remaining will to push himself away from beneath her with his hands and feet, as he finally managed to turn around and crawl up towards the wall behind them. Once there, he reached up towards the window, trying to drag himself up from the floor, but before he even got close to doing so, he was quickly dragged back down towards the floor again, as all that was left was his finger-prints on the window-frame in front of him. Turning around, Ibuki was all the way up in his face again, more alluring than ever before. He was trapped, up against the wall with nowhere to go. She had him just where she wanted him, and he had to think of something fast.

Ikari: Ibuki-... Ibuki! Just hold on a minute, you are not thinking clearly, why are you doing this, why now?? At least give me a reason...

Ibuki: ... What, don't you want me?

Her tone was so damn sexy, so lustful. Her voice was so firm, not even a single trace of shivering could be hear in it any longer. She looked at him as she got closer and closer once more. Slowly sliding her hands down her body, Ikari watched as he got more and more excited, even though he tried to resist, tried holding back, but she was already on to him, already sensing his excitement, just as she wanted. Pulling down the strings of her bra alongside her shoulders, Ikari could only watch, not able to do a thing to get away or prevent her from going any further.

Ikari: Ibuki, I-... *Gulp*

Who was he kidding, of course he wanted her, even though he wasn't going to openly admit it in front of her. Perhaps he had been thinking about her for the past six months, perhaps he had been feeling lonely for far too long. He didn't want to open himself up too early to another girl due to Rin dying not too long ago, but this was Ibuki... They had history together, they were kind of in the same place due to Bruce falling into a coma a year ago, it was different, but he still felt like it was too soon to even think about it. Bruce was still alive despite being in coma back then, and therefore, he just removed those thoughts completely, buried them some place deep inside. At this very day though, with her confessing to him and almost going as far as raping him in the Hokage-office of all places! Who was he to resist? Her reasoning was really more than enough to convince him, to make those thoughts re-emerge once again. It had been a year since Rin died now, he had no reason to hold back any longer, had he? But what about her... Well, she had moved on she said, and during those two weeks Bruce was awake, before he decided to-... She had still been thinking about him, thinking about Ikari. Perhaps she now finally managed to let go for real, no matter how hard it was? But didn't she have a line, this day was after all the day Bruce decided to commit suicide, at least Ikari himself felt it like that, felt that it was wrong, that she should at least have waited a few days before telling him how she really felt. However, now that they already were in this position, Ikari didn't feel no regret... He was caught up against the wall with no place to go, half nude with only his pants left to go. And Ibuki, she was almost half nude as well with only her bra and pants to go. He just looked at her as she slowly began to remove her bra completely, and seeing it as a last resort, Ikari had to stop just that by doing the only thing he knew he could do. Grabbing a hold on to her hands just as she was taking her bra off, Ikari managed to stop her, momentarily.

Ibuki: ...

Ikari: I-... I-... Ibuki I-...

Ibuki: Let it happen Ikari, I will have my way with you...

Ikari: ?!

She didn't say it harshly or in a too unserious way, but with a tone that seemed powerful, he felt like he had no choice, he...

Ikari: Ibuki... Perhaps what you are saying is true, perhaps what I'm feeling is...

Ibuki: ...

Ikari: I'm not going to deny anything, you are... You are so damn sexy, I-... But... Or actually, I do want to...

He had no will, no reason to oppose her any longer. He finally gave in, gave in to all his lusts as he grabbed a hold onto her and lifted her up. Giving her a smile, the two of them were gone in a flash as all that was left behind were half of their clothes scattered all over the floor. Coming in the door of the office just minutes after they left was Inba, as he was as surprised as any seeing a bunch of clothes laying all around in the Hokage-office. Scratching his head, Inba had a puzzled look on his face.

Inba: Sigh, Ikari... Just what have you done now, on this day of all days...

[...]

As day had become evening, Ikari finally woke up after having slept for a few hours. Realizing this, he looked at the clock as he discovered that he had wasted the whole day, not being able to do anything of what he was suppose to do. First it was the morning news of his old friend Bruce dying, then it was Ibuki's approach. He had no strength nor will to do anything. All he could think of was that the only remaining member of the Senju clan left now was his very own son, and he was only three years old at this point. Turning to his side, Ikari was quickly reminded that Ibuki was still laying in his bed beside him sleeping. She was more beautiful than ever before, only being covered up by the sheets they laid under. Waking up to the sound of him turning towards her, Ibuki could only smile as she looked at him.

Ibuki: Good evening... Hokage-Sama.

Ikari: You don't need to call me that Ibuki...

Just looking back at her, Ikari was still not entirely sure what to make out of all this.

Ikari: It might not be appropriate to say this now, but... We'll have to start preparing funeral arrangement for him, for Bruce, tomorrow... I mean, I'll still have him have an honorable funeral, that's the least he deserves. I just can't help thinking that I should have talked him out of this somehow, what he said in his letter, he-...

Ibuki: Ikari, just let it go... Like he said, neither one of us had anything to do with it, he just...

Ikari: I know, but still... And now this happened, I...

Ibuki: What happened??

Ikari: Don't play oblivious Ibuki, I'm talking about this-...

Not allowing him to finish, Ibuki laid her right index finger gently over his mouth as she then spoke out.

Ibuki: It happened for a reason... I think this was meant to be...

Ikari: Heh, it wasn't like I had any choice...

Ibuki: Hahaha, of course you had, you are the most powerful man in this entire village...

Looking dumb-struck at him, Ikari immediately knew that she was mocking him.

Ikari: Smart-ass...

Ibuki: Don't say that...

Coming closer to him, Ibuki reached out to kiss him once more, but before she could, Ikari stopped her as he finally gathered enough will to speak his true mind, or at least, what he thought to be his true mind there and then.

Ikari: Ibuki, if we are going to do this... I need to know that this is not just some fooling around... I can't honestly say what I think of this situation yet, but I suppose... I'm not against giving it a try, giving us a try again if you...

Ibuki: ...

Ikari: If that is what you want... But like I said, I need to know that you are in for it, that it's what you truly want, that it is what I truly want... And I suppose, to be sure about that, I need at least some time to think...

Ibuki: I see... Well, I suppose I understand too...

Ikari: ...

Breaking their eye-contact, Ibuki then turned around as she sat up in the bed. Only her bare back was visible from his side as she looked out the window in front of her. She was thinking, thinking about what he said. It made perfectly sense, after all, she wasn't sure if it was just her instincts, her lust for him that pushed her approach, or if she was actually rediscovering old feelings for him. She agreed, it was indeed too soon to tell.

Ibuki: I agree... Let's give it a few days. Hmm, I guess I better get going thou-...

She was just about to stand up to get dressed, but this time around, Ikari was the one to hold her back.

Ikari: Ibuki wait... Why the sudden rush to leave?

Turning her head around, she could only look at him. She didn't really know what to say, so she said the first thing that came to mind.

Ibuki: Well... I suppose right now... I don't have any further use of you...

Getting up from the bed, she then walked over to the window as he just stared at her before speaking his mind.

Ikari: What?!?!

Obviously shocked hearing this, like he had been used for her sexual desires, Ikari immediately got up from the bed as well, only standing there in his boxer-shorts. She still had a hold onto the sheets, the only cover she had, as Ikari came over to her with a serious look on his face.

Ikari: Just who are you Ibuki, to take advantage of me like th-...

Ibuki: *Giggle*

Ikari: ??

Ibuki: I'm just kidding with you silly, don't be so easily fooled...

He had come so close to her that she had to take a few steps back, pressing her all the way up to the window she was staring out a few minutes ago. Her back felt cold as it hit the cold surface of the window-frame, but that didn't stop her from looking at him.

Ikari: Either you are a Goddess, or you're simply an alluring-...

Ibuki: Less talk.

Letting go of her sheets, Ibuki wrapped her arms around him as she started kissing him passionately once again. He felt her naked body pressing up towards him as he sat down gently in the bed with her on top of him. He knew what was coming now...

Ikari: Geez, let's delay the talk for latter I suppose, it's not like I can resist you or anything...

Ibuki: *Smirk*

Laying down on the bed, Ibuki reached out for the sheet now laying on the floor, as she continued to make out with him, covering the two of them with it in the process. He was more than ready for another round, for her, but like ever parent's nightmare, something unexpected then happened.

*Knock, Knock*

Ibuki: !!

Ikari: ?!

Damn it, what now? Who could it be, disturbing them now of all times??... Was it Inba or Yoshi wondering where he was? No, it couldn't be, they wouldn't just enter his house like that... Or would they? Just as he was about to go another round with her as well. It couldn't be helped, he had to answer, he couldn't pretend to not be there, could he?? With a crack in his voice, Ikari finally managed to utter an answer.

Ikari: Ye-ah!!

Tossing Ibuki gently aside, the two of them were only covered by the sheets as the door opened. Expecting to see a face right away though, Ikari had to lean upwards to see who it was. Of course! It couldn't be anyone else... His son Makar, how could he forget?

Makar: Dad, I hope you're not sleeping because my day at school is done and I'm starving to dea-...??

Ikari: Makar, you're home?!

Still being quite young in age, Makar was already a bright kid, but he was nowhere old enough to see or understand what was taking place before him in the room, so Ikari wasn't really sure what to say once he realized that it was him. What an awkward situation this had to be...

Makar: Yeah... Why wouldn't I be?? Ehm, am I disturbing something or?? And who is that in your bed??

Ikari: Ehm, this is... This is, ehm... Ibuki...

Ibuki: *Blush*

Makar: And what are you two doing?

Ibuki: !!

Ikari: I, we-... Not much really, we're just, ehm-... You see Makar, you might be a bit too young to hear this, I, ehm-...

Ibuki: *Giggle* Good luck explaining this, dad...

Just another day in Konoha... The Peace... Ikari had completely forgotten how it felt, how the older days used to be, before the war started and he left to train at Mt. Myobokuzan. It had been awhile since he had just stopped and
enjoyed the little things like this, but still, this was never suppose to happen while Makar still was this young... Well, who would have guessed that this awkward situation would happen so soon after they came home? Heh, Ikari still hadn't gotten used to the family life, living in a large house in a peaceful village with only his young son as company. He had to get used to it, to try and avoid situations like this happening in the future, haha! After all, this was something Ikari himself had not experienced before, and neither Ibuki either for that matter.

In the coming years that followed as Makar grew older, he eventually became a Chunin at the age of 14, but way before that, another member to the family was born, as Ikari and Ibuki finally ended up together, after much going back and forth during the next coming months after the war ended. They got a son together two years after hooking up, and he was about six years younger than Ikari and Rin's boy, Makar. To pay tribute to their late team-mate, they decided to name him Bruce, and as time flew by, he too eventually became a Chunin, also at the age of 14, as the two half-brothers from there on and out, started treating each other as rivals, competing to follow in the footsteps of their father. However, from the get-go, Ikari always made sure that it was a harmless rivalry, as he would not have any arguing or the likes of it happening because of it. Having become one of the most renown families in Konoha, Ibuki had even decided to adopt Makar, and thus, becoming like a mother to him as well from young age. Just as Bruce was born, Ikari and Ibuki also got married in what would be one of the finest weddings Konoha ever had seen. Things were not only going Ikari and Ibuki's way at long last, but the world had probably never witnessed such harmony as it did in the decades that followed.

True, ever-lasting, Eternal, Peace... It really seemed like it did happen in the end, not only for the shinobi of the Shinobi World Alliance, but for the entire world as well. As time went by, humans eventually lost their touch with chakra, but even with this new challenge at rise, they still managed to cope fine without it. The village systems lasted for a long time to come, but in the end, the term "Kage" was eventually replaced by a Presidential-system, with a new leader being elected every 4th-8th year. Ikari was in fact not only the last Hokage of Konoha, he was also one of the finest shinobi that ever lived. Before this tale comes to an end however, there was still one thing left to be told.

[...]

Having lived with Peace thriving for a whole decade since the war ended now, Ikari had long since settled down with his family and friends in Konoha. One day, just a few days before his son Makar was about to enter the Chunin exam, Ikari had decided to take his whole family for a visit to the Kage-museum that had been built right by the Hokage-mansion. Taking both his wife Ibuki, and his now fourteen and eight years old sons, Makar and Bruce, with him, the four of them would be in for a nice treat.

Makar: Dad, do we really have to go here today? I mean, it's not like we haven't been here before, and I really need to start preparing for the Chunin exam with my team-mates and Sensei already...

Ikari: Now, now, there is something new here that I want to show you, after all, the museum has expanded a lot since we last were here a year ago.

Bruce: Makar has a point dad, but since you were this energetic about it, I suppose you have something good in store...

Ibuki: Boys, you don't have to be so skeptical. If your father says he has something to show us, then you better believe it!

Ikari: See? Your mother knows me all too well. You should put some trust in your father too you know.

Makar: Okay, let's just get inside already, geez...

Ikari: ...

Guard: Oh it's you Hokage-Sama, and I see you're bringing your family as well. Please, step inside!

Ikari: How nice of you, thanks.

Doing as he said, Ikari led the way as the four of them entered the museum, passing by the guard whom welcomed them inside. It was a nice day; warm, but not so much that the people inside the village couldn't take it. Going over to the counter, Ikari bought some tickets for all of them as they headed past the first section of the Hokages and deeper into the museum. As they walked by, they gained the attention of those also visiting the museum as some visitors from another village wanted to take a picture of Ikari by his own monumental statue, in which he easily complied. There was also some kids running around, who wanted an autograph from him as well, before they could finally move on. Normally, you would have heard a remark or two from either Makar or Bruce due to the attention they were getting, but by now, the two of them had already come to get used to the situation. After all, their father was not only the Hokage of Konoha and the Sekaiteki-Kage of the Shinobi World Alliance, he was also one of the biggest contributors to ending the past war.

Ikari: Ah, here we are...

Entering another room from the hallway they came from, the four of them came before something different than the usual Kage-statues found in the different sections of the museum. The lights in the room were dimmed down, and the dark-green backgrounds on the walls gave it an unique feel. Walking over to the display in front of them, they all looked through the secured glass-panel protecting the items stored inside from any unwanted hands.

Makar: So this is what you wanted to-...

Bruce: Whoa... This feeling...

Ibuki: I've never seen something like this before... Their present feels so... Powerful, mysterious, admiring, yet, they feel so...

Ikari: Indeed they are...

The three items inside were glowing bright as three mini-suns, as the description displayed below them barely had any intel on it.

Makar: Dad, what exactly are these things??

Ikari: I like to look at them as... Symbols of Wisdom, Courage and Power... I don't know exactly what they do, but they are pretty amazing, are they not? Come, let's head back to the Hokage's section, there's one last thing I want to show you guys...

Leaving the room, the four of them walked back to the first section of the museum where the statues of the Hokages stood. Walking by the past Hokages before him, Ikari finally stopped by the 6th Hokage of Konoha's statue.

Ikari: Uzumaki Naruto... He was one of a kind.

Makar: What's so special about him dad? We've seen him before, and I bet there is no way he could be as great as the legends say.

Bruce: Haha, there is no way there could ever be a Hokage better than you dad, at least not until I succeed you.

Makar: Bwuhahaha, you should not be so sure about that brother, I'm already way ahead of you! Not only in age, but in experience as well. If anyone will succeed our father, it's going to be me!

Leaving a big grin on his face, Makar seemed to beam of confidence, much to Bruce's displeasing.

Ikari: Haha, I got to say I love your confidence boys, but who said I was stepping down any time soon?

Laying his hands on their heads, Ikari rubbed Makar's blond- and Bruce's dark hair, trying to laugh the situation off.

Ikari: Anyways, what I wanted to show you here is this...

Reaching his hand out, Ikari pointed at the Hokage-robe hanging around the statue in front of them.

Ikari: As you know, this robe actually belonged to Naruto himself, but the thing that is a bit strange about it, is this...

Walking to the back of the statue, Ikari pointed at the robe again as the rest quickly followed.

Ikari: "Rokudaime Hokage..." But look down here, this is something I never noticed before just recently... I wonder if this always was there or if...

Pointing further down on the cape near the bottom left corner, they all bent down as Ibuki read the small inscription displayed on there out loud.

Ibuki: "Death is only the beginning..." What does that mean?

Ikari: Beats me... No matter how much time I got to spend with him, I'll never be able to fully understand what it took to be "The Legendary Sage of Konoha." But one thing is certain, Uzumaki Naruto was the greatest of them all. Come, let's go grab something to eat.

Makar: Best idea all day, I'm already starving!

Bruce: You're always onto food brother... One day you'll get fat, I can promise you that!

Makar: What did you say to me??!

Ibuki: *Giggle.*

Ikari: Sigh...

And with this, comes the tale of The Legendary Sage of Konoha and his descendants to an end, as Ikari continued as Hokage for many, many years after the war ended, continuing to support and cooperate with the other Kages like Zise, Kitsuke and Raikiru, for at least two generations to come. As time went by, so approached the promised day as chakra eventually disappeared from the world, and the term "Shinobi," eventually ceased to exist. Peace however, continued to last as the Shinobi World Alliance continued to expand until the entire World was united under one banner, and thus, preventing any wars or uprising from breaking out in the coming future. For as long as time remembered, Peace did in fact last eternally... Just like Uzumaki Naruto, once dreamed about...

Naruto: Ah it's you Shikamaru, come on in.

Shikamaru: Hokage-Sama, I got some urgent reports from the Sand village, the Cloud village and the Mist village about multiple attacks around their borders!

Naruto: !!

*Door Slams Open*

Anbu: Hokage-Sama! A message bird just arrived from Iwagakure! The Hidden Stone village was attacked by a large scale attack lead by Kabuto and Zetsu which resulted in the death of the 4th Tsuchikage!

Naruto: ?!

Shikamaru: What?!

[...]

Naruto: Looks like we'll be heading to Kirigakure...

Shikamaru: Who will be in charge of Konoha while we're gone?

Naruto: I know the perfect candidate...

Shikamaru: And that is?

Naruto: The leader of the Anbu organization... Konohamaru.

[...]

Sai: Hokage-Sama!!! Urgent report! Two unknown Akatsuki members has been sighted heading towards the West gate of Konoha! They've already taken down several Anbu!

Naruto: What?!

Naruto: Shikamaru, Sai; we'll head to the West gate at once. Anbu, call the 5th, my Defense team, and the Anbu Leader to the gate! Shikamaru, Sai; let's go!

[...]

Keiji: You stupid idiot Kazuki! Look what you did! Just because I had to pay attention to your stupid bragging, I didn't notice these shinobi before they surrounded us...

Kazuki: Ha! This will only make the challenge more worthy, Keiji!

Naruto: Why are you attacking the Joint Shinobi Alliance after all these years undercover? What is your purpose?!

Kazuki: We're after your damn fox, isn't that obvious, Rokudaime Hokage?

Naruto: ...

[...]

Konohamaru: Futon: RasenShuriken!

Kazuki: ?!

[...]

Naruto: This is the end...

Keiji: Not really...

Kazuki: *Smirk*

Naruto: ?!

Suddenly, their bodies started turning into ashes as the two of them disappeared right before their very eyes.

Naruto: ...Konohamaru, are you alright? I told you not to use that technique yet. You need to be able to throw it before you can use it successfully!

Konohamaru: I will manage to do that next time I use this technique, I promise...

[...]

Naruto: Alright. Now that you all are here, I'll brief you about the current situation. As some of you know, Akatsuki has finally made their comeback after their major defeat in the Grass Country, twelve years ago. They've attacked Iwa, Kiri and Kumo, and they've traveled through the Wind Country not far from Suna, and were heading towards Konoha earlier this day. Fortunately, we managed to force them to retreat, however, Iwa had major loses and the 4th Tsuchikage, Kitsuchi, died. There will be a Kage-meeting in Kiri in four days, where I will attend with a a selected few... I've decided to take the following with me on the trip... I want both my advisers to come, meaning Shikamaru and Tsunade, the third in command, Sakura, and lastly, Rock Lee... You will join as well. Shikamaru... I would also like to bring your wife Temari with us...

[...]

Jiraiya: Dad, can I talk to you?

Naruto: Yeah sure son. Is it about the birthday present? I'm going to teach you something, something that I learned when I was around the same age as you...

Jiraiya: Oh? You're not talking about the Rasen-...

Naruto: Yes, I am son. I believe you are ready for it...

Jiraiya: Really?!

[...]

Medical Shinobi: Hokage-Sama!!!... Hokage-Sama!!! It's your wife! She's going to give birth, at this very moment!

Naruto: ?!

[...]

Naruto: Hinata! I'm here now so don't you worry, and Jiraiya is here too.

Hinata: I'm glad... At least you won't miss this birth like you did with the last-... Ahhhhhh!

[...]

Medical Shinobi: Congratulation Hokage-Sama, it's a girl.

Naruto: ...

[...]

Medical Shinobi: Have you decided on a name yet?

Naruto & Hinata: Yes.

Jiraiya: What is it?

Hinata: Kushina...

Naruto: ...

Naruto: Everyone halt!!

Everyone: ?!

Tsunade: What is it?

Naruto: Don't you notice?

[...]

Naruto: What are you guys doing here?!

Jiraiya: Ehm... Nothing... Just taking a trip to the forest.

Hiruzen: Yeah, that's right!

Mito: Yes Hokage-Sama, just as they say...

Naruto: Why did you leave the village and follow us here?! Jiraiya, I told you specifically to do stay in Konoha and watch over your mom and your newborn sister! Sigh, this leaves me no choice... They will have to come with us...

Jiraiya: Yes, I knew it! You're awesome dad!

[...]

Kakashi & Gai: Konohamaru, Shikaku!

Konohamaru: What is it you're in such a hurry for?

Kakashi: We just received reports from the Tsuchikage that his convoy was attacked by two Akatsuki members, but they managed to beat them back. He was worried that the other Kages could be attacked as well while traveling to Kiri.

Gai: Also, we received a bird from some Anbus controlling the area around the East border, and they said they saw six Akatsuki members traveling on the road from the Wave country. Their target got to be our convoy!

Shikaku: ?! We should send some of our best as reinforcements-...

Kakashi: Gai and I will go!

[...]

Yamato: WAIT!!! I'm so sorry, I never thought they would come after you guys...

Jiraiya: Don't worry Yamato-Sensei, they've decided to let us come with them.

Yamato: !!

Naruto: Alright, let's get moving again... It's not that far until the Wave Country now.

[...]

Naruto: I think I'm going to take a short nap. Can you cover for me meanwhile?

Tsunade: Yeah sure thing, Naruto...

[...]

Sasuke: So Naruto, you came? Who would have thought I would end your life and capture the Kyuubi at the same place as I spared you the last time we fought? This valley sure is a fitting place to die, Naruto...

Naruto: Hinata! I'm sorry... I'm sorry I missed your birth...

Hinata: Naruto-Kun...

Hinata: I think we should name him right here and now... I've been thinking of a name ever since I became pregnant. A name I thought was fitting if it became a boy.

Naruto: Oh? Let me hear it.

Hinata: ...I was thinking of your former Sensei, Jiraiya...

Naruto: It's... Perfect.

[...]

Tsunade: So about the matter we discussed before? Do you want to... Take over?

Naruto: You sound like you're being forced or something.

Tsunade: No, it's nothing like that. I believe your time has come and that you're ready for it, just like your Father was when Sarutobi once stepped down. The two Elders agreed as well...

Naruto: ...

[...]

Naruto: Huh?!

Suddenly waking up from his vivid dream, Naruto had a stressed look on his face.

Tsunade: What, what is it?!

Naruto: Nothing, I, I just had a very familiar dream...

Tsunade: About what?

Naruto: About the past...

[...]

Gai: This is bad... If we keep this speed, we might make it just in time.

Kakashi: Don't worry too much... We still don't know what the new members of Akatsuki are capable of.

[...]

Tsunade: It can't be?!

Kazuki: Look who we got here, just in time...

[...]

Akashi: Ah, finally some peace and quiet...

Naruto: ...

Kazuki: This time you won't get away Kyuubi-brat!

Tsunade: It's been awhile since last time we met, huh.

Gaara: So has Killerbee arrived yet?

Mei: No, but he should be here shortly. A messenger-bird arrived from him just a few moments ago...

Naruto: And what about the Tsuchikage? I heard that Kitsuchi died during an attack by Akatsuki, right before you sent out for this meeting...

Mei: Unfortunately, that's true. I've received information from Iwa that they haven't decided on the next Tsuchikage yet, so they've sent an active one for this meeting. Apparently, his identity was kept secret.

Gaara: "His" identity?... So any idea who he is?

Mei: I've no idea. We got a letter from his escort, but nothing about who he was.

Naruto: Hmm...

[...]

Naruto: Killerbee! You finally made it!

Killerbee: Expected otherwise??

The 4th Mizukage, and the creation of Akatsuki...

Sasuke: ...Yeah, that's right.

Naruto: So how have you been? Haven't seen you since you decided to stay in Iwa twelve years ago...

A: I just can't help feeling that something is going to happen.

Darui: Tobi might have planned further ahead than this meeting, but I'm sure Bee and the rest are okay. It would be dull to think otherwise.

?: Raikage-Sama!! Urgent report from Mei and Tsunade!

[...]

A: Alright Shinobi army, let's head out to help out the rest!

Everyone: Right!

Behind A, a force of about 50 000 shinobies stood, ready to march.

[...]

Anbu: Konohamaru, Shikaku! A letter just arrived from the Kages! Kiri has been attacked by Tobi and his forces, and our allies are seeking assistance at once from every available shinobi under the Joint Shinobi Alliance! Tobi and Kabuto's combined force is said to be 30 000 strong!

Konohamaru & Shikaku: What?!!

Anbu: Letters have been sent out to each of the villages as well as to the samurai in the Land of Iron. The Alliance is mobilizing all its troops for battle!

Konohamaru: Alright, we need to put the village on high alert!

Shikaku: If Tobi and his forces have attacked Kiri, then I bet there are no reason for them to attack any of the other villages. I suggest we send as much backup as we can!

Konohamaru: Right!

[...]

Konohamaru: This is simple, we'll head out at once to Kiri to assist our allies.

Everyone: Alright!

Shikaku: Then let's go!

?: Hey, wait up!

Kiba: Hinata??

Hinata: I refuse to stay behind on a day like this, I'll join too!

Ino: Shouldn't you take it easy? It's only three days ago since you had a baby.

Hinata: I'm fine!

Kiba: Hehe, that's the spirit!

Konohamaru: Alright, you'll come as well. Let's go!

Everyone: Yeah!

[...]

Sasuke: I knew I would encounter these guys again eventually.

Ryu: Looks like the Edo Tensei are getting overwhelmed.

Nobunaga: You only tasted a small portion of what to come. Ryu, let's retreat for now.

Temari: You know these guys, Sasuke?

Sasuke: They were the two that attacked our convoy on our way over here... You three can help out the shinobi here fighting off the Zetsu army, I'll pursue them.

Gaara: Sounds like a plan.

Kankuro: Be careful.

Sasuke: Right.

[...]

Tobi: It's done, the Bijou has been extracted.

Kabuto: Finally...

Black Zetsu: Only Naruto remains now.

White Zetsu: I can't wait for it!

Kabuto: And it was perfect timing too, seems like he's already here.

Tobi: Let him in...

[...]

Akashi: Alright this is it.

Naruto: ...

Tobi: So you finally came...

Naruto: Killerbee...

Killerbee: I'll-...Manage...

[...]

Tobi: Going somewhere?

Kabuto: Just something I need to take care of, but I'll be back before you know it.

[...]

Killerbee: How is he able to take the task of controlling eight Bijou at once so easily? Kid, can you fight?

Naruto: Yeah, this is nothing!

[...]

Naruto: This will be the final battle! I will take you down and bring on true peace to this world!

Tobi: There can only be one peace... My peace!

[...]

Kabuto: Everything is going according to plan. Sasuke did follow you, right?

Ryu: Yes, he should be here any minute now...

Nobunaga: Or just laying in ambush, waiting for the right moment to strike...

Sasuke: ...What exactly is Kabuto scheming? Why would he call two of Akatsuki's main members back from the front-line and try to draw me in like this?

Akashi: Should we call for him?

Kabuto: Sasuke! I know you're out there, so there is no point in hiding anymore.... Just show yourself already!

[...]

Sasuke: What are you scheming, Kabuto?...

Kabuto: So you did decide to show up... How wonderful. Well actually, I'm not scheming anything at all, really, kehehehe...

Sasuke: ...

[...]

Kabuto: Actually I was wondering if you could do me a favor...

Sasuke: !! What do you mean?

Kabuto: Well my plans... My goals were never the same as Tobi's. In fact, he's really an unreliability to my plan, and an obstacle in my path. I've only sided with him for these last years to achieve and further my own goal!

Sasuke: And why would I do you a favor? I should crush you right here, right now!

Kabuto: Relax... I'm only here to talk, or more like giving you an ultimatum!

Sasuke: ??

Kabuto: That's right... You can either decide to fight the four of us to the end, and maybe, just maybe you'll stand victorious... or...

Sasuke: ...

Kabuto: Or... You could go help out Naruto and get rid of Tobi once and for all...

Sasuke: !!

[...]

Kabuto: Btw, you will need this seal to get through the barrier...

Sasuke: This thing better work... Tobi... Your end is near!

[...]

Akashi: You think they will manage to beat Tobi?

Kabuto: We'll just have to wait and see how their true potentials turns out to be, in the battle of their lives...

Nobunaga: So we'll head to stage two now?

Kabuto: Yes, it's not far... Let's go.

[...]

Killerbee: Gwu-ack!!!

Naruto: Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Tobi: That's one down...

[...]

White Zetsu: So he actually managed to destroy Tobi's mask...

Black Zetsu: It seems so...

Naruto: ?! So that's how your true face looks like... No wonder you were wearing a mask...

Naruto: Sasuke?!

Tobi: !! How, how did you get in here?!

Sasuke: Hah, seems like this seal worked after all. Kabuto actually told the truth... Not interrupting anything, am I?

Tobi: Kabuto?!

Sasuke: That's right...

Tobi: Humph, guess I will just have to deal with both of you then before I take care of him...

Sasuke: Don't get too full of yourself Tobi, it will be your downfall!!

[...]

Sasuke: How are you managing Naruto?

Naruto: I... Let's do this, Sasuke!

[...]

Tobi: Enough talk... Let's begin.

Naruto: ...

Tobi: Kuchiyose no Jutsu!

Naruto: !! What on earth is that?!

Sasuke: Naruto, don't lose your cool! Let's do this!

Naruto: Right!

Naruto & Sasuke: Kuchiyose no Jutsu!

Tobi: Interesting, but it won't be enough to stop me!

Naruto: This is it! Sasuke, let's go!

Sasuke: Right behind you!

Tobi: Give it all you have!

The final battle was about to begin...

[...]

* Thanks to everyone, both new and old for their support, much appreciated. It has been one heck of a ride!

[...]

Mito: Hokage-Sama??...

Jiraiya: ... Oh?! It's you... Sorry, I was lost in my own thoughts. So what is it that you have on mind, Mito?

[...]

Naruto: Oi, old man, another bowl!

Teuchi: Coming right up!

Killerbee: I don't really get why you enjoy this so much, it's not like it's the best food in the world, Naruto... You should have tasted the food we have back home in Kumo, there I could eat a whole sumo!

Naruto: Are you kidding me?! How can you say that, it's an insult!

Gaara: Hey calm down, both of you, you're suppose to keep appearances...

[...]

?: So this is where the three of you are hanging out!

Gaara: Kitsuchi... How did you find us?

[...]

Gaara: So where is Mei at anyways?

Kitsuchi: She's preparing for the semi-finals of the Chunin exams to begin, I think.

[...]

Gaara: ...Yeah, and I guess Naruto is the one of us that's the most excited, being as his son is participating...

[...]

Hiruzen: Damn it all, I should have been the one to be there, not that shinobi from the Cloud!

Mito: You really wanted to face Jiraiya in the final, didn't you?

[...]

Gaara: So, I guess we're all here then huh?

Mei: Yep, you want to signal the battle to begin?

[...]

Gaara: Guess this is it Naruto... Excited?

Naruto: ...

Kitsuchi: I'm curious to see how your son will battle, he got pretty torn up in the semi-final against that Stone shinobi...

[...]

Hiruzen: So he was promoted to Chunin, huh... Not bad.

[...]

Hiruzen: I can't believe he did it, he actually managed to do it?!

Mito: You're surprised Hiruzen?

Naruto: From this day forward, Jiraiya, you can call yourself, Jonin...

[...]

Minato: Hey dad! What are you doing?

Jiraiya: Wait, you're up this early Minato?

[...]

Miyuki: Hey Minato, you forgot your lunch-money.

Minato: Oh mom, thanks.

Jiraiya: Miyuki, you're up now too?

[...]

Jiraiya: I think I can let the work rest for a day. Why don't the three of us go outside for a bit right now?

Miyuki: That sounds great.

Minato: Sure thing dad. Let's go!

[...]

Koharu: With this, you will now be the 6th Hokage of Konohagakure.

Hinata: You... You can do it Naruto... Your son and I are so proud of you!

Naruto: Behold! Right here before you... Stands your new Hokage!

Tsunade: Haha, I guess something never change with age nor title...

[...]

Great Toad Sage: Yes I have... Now... I will bestow upon you, your new prophecy...

[...]

Great Toad Sage: When the three new sages are ready, when your legacy is ready, you will be ready, Uzumaki Naruto. That is all...

Konohamaru: Naruto, you know what this means?

Naruto: Right... A war is approaching.

[...]

Tsunade: Geez... Looks like we haven't heard the last from Tobi and Kabuto after all.

Kakashi: It's only a matter of time before they'll return. The only question is, when will that be and how strong will their forces be? What about the seven beasts that went missing during the war. Does Tobi still have them in his possession?

Shikamaru: Either way, we need to take some precaution.

Naruto: Exactly... I think this calls for a Kage-meeting.

[...]

A: I guess this sums up everything then, but before we go, there is something I'd like to announce. Ever since Onoki retired as Kage, I've been thinking through a couple of things... After some back and forth, I've decided to step down. Here is your new Raikage...

Killerbee: ?!

[...]

Kakashi: Thinking about how fast time goes by, makes me wonder what I've been up to during the recent years.

Jiraiya: What do you mean?

Kakashi: Well I haven't exactly been keeping in touch with everyone, my memory is starting to become bad as well.

Jiraiya: Haha, you're not that old yet Kakashi-Sensei.

Kakashi: Hah, yeah I know, but still.

Jiraiya: ...

Kakashi: By the way, isn't Miyuki the daughter of Sasuke and Kurotsuchi?

Jiraiya: Yeah, why?

Kakashi: Nothing, just got me thinking.

Jiraiya: About what?

Kakashi: About the past...

[...]

Tobi: I haven't been pushed this far since we fought last time in the 4th Great Shinobi War. To think that you even managed to force me to use Izanagi on my right eye...

Naruto: We're not done yet, right, Sasuke!

Sasuke: Uhm, yeah... With his dragons gone, it is time we brought this battle to an end, *Pant, Pant*

[...]

Tsunade: Mei, you see that?!

Mei: Yes... What's going on, why are they retreating?

Tsunade: It's just like that time during the 4th Great Shinobi War, it's seems as if the Edo tensei has been broken!

Mei: It can't be? But by who?

Tsunade: There is still the Zetsus to take care of... And they're still outnumbering us by a ton!

Shinobi: Mizukage-Sama, look over there, reinforcements!

Mei: What?!

Tsunade: It seems like the birds made it!

From over the hill some 100 yards ahead, a large force totaling a number over 60 000 came to view, with the 4th Raikage A, in the lead.

Mei: It's A! The Allied Shinobi forces has arrived!

[...]

Naruto: *Pant* ... *Pant*

Sasuke: Still no luck...

Tobi: *Pant* ... *Pant* Child's trick like that aren't going to work on me. You should know that by now, Naruto...

[...]

Tobi: ?!

Naruto: Heh, seems like our side is winning... Time we upped our game too, right Sasuke?!

Sasuke: Sure thing, Naruto.

Naruto: Ready?

Tobi: ...

Sasuke: Let's end this!

[...]

Tsunade: I can't begin to say how glad I am that those birds managed to reach out to you guys!

Mei: Look, the Zetsu army seems to be retreating as well?!

A: Mei, Tsunade! We came as fast as we could... Shinobi army, attack!

[...]

Hinata: Tsunade-Sama, where is... *Pant* ... Where is Naruto?!

Tsunade: Hinata?! What on earth are you doing here, you gave birth four days ago, you're in no condition to fight!

Hinata: I had to come... I need to check on Naruto!

A: ?! That reminds me... My brother... Killerbee, where is he?!

[...]

Naruto: Futon: RasenShuriken!

Naruto Clone 1: Katon: Rasenshuriken!

Naruto Clone 2: Suiton: Rasenshuriken!

Naruto Clone 3: Doton: Rasenshuriken!

Naruto Clone 4: Raiton: Rasenshuriken!

Naruto: You won't be able to survive this!

[...]

Hiruzen: ?! Yamato-Sensei, look!

Yamato: It can't be... Reinforcement?!

Konohamaru: Futon: Rasenshuriken!

[...]

Konohamaru: I did it! I finally did it!... If only Naruto saw me now!... Wait... This means that I've finally passed the final test Naruto set out for me to master Sage Mode... Which officially makes me a Toad Sage... The prophecy, it can't be?!

Jiraiya: What's wrong??

Konohamaru: I know, I know where Naruto is!

Mei: What?!

[...]

Black Zetsu: This isn't going according to plan, is it, Tobi?

Tobi: What are you doing here? You're suppose to record this battle!

White Zetsu: There is too much going on, so we had to give you this report.

Tobi: Go on...

Black Zetsu: Kabuto has released the Edo Tensei...

Tobi: What?! That bastard, then he's definitely up to something!

[...]

Tobi: Finally!!

Naruto: It can't be... I... failed?? Ug-h!

Sasuke: No!

Tobi: This is it... Yes, I can feel its power!

Tsunade: It's too late... We were too late...

Onoki: It can't be... It just can't!

Tobi: And now, the world will be mine...

[...]

Sasuke: Naruto... You...

Naruto: I... Can still fight!

[...]

Naruto: What is happening to him??

Tobi: It-... Can't-... Be... I am your master, and you will obey me!

Sasuke: ...

[...]

Naruto: It's... It's breaking free from him?!

Tobi: Ugh! No, it can't be, not like this, I'm-...!! Uaaaaargh!!

Naruto: *Pant, Pant* Now what?!

Before him... Stood the Jubi!

[...]

Naruto: *Pant, Pant*... This leaves me no choice... Tsunade, I will have to use that jutsu!

Tsunade: What?!! You can't?! If you do, you will die in the process!

Naruto: I don't have any other choice! It will be the only way I can seal him now!

[...]

Onoki: What jutsu are you talking about?

Tsunade: The Dead Demon Consuming Seal... The dreadful jutsu which takes the soul of anyone who uses it...

A: What?!

Mei: But he can't do that, he will die!

[...]

Naruto: I have to!! It will work this time, no matter what!

Onoki: It will work this time?! What does he mean by that?

Tsunade: The Dead Demon Consuming Seal, is said to have existed for all eternity, and that it was created in the time of the Sage of Six Paths. The only known users to have used this technique so far are Minato Namikaze and Hiruzen Sarutobi, and in both scenarios, the technique ended in their deaths. But there is also another saying...

Mei: Which is?

Tsunade: That the jutsu never was completed...

[...]

Naruto: Almost there!! I... I did-... Ugh?!

Onoki: It...

Tsunade: Nooo!!

Jiraiya: Dad!!!!

Hinata: Naruto... Naruto!!

A: It can't be... Did it fail?!

[...]

Kurotsuchi: Sasuke!

Sasuke: *Pant. Pant* Naruto... *Pant*, Are you alright? Naruto, wake up god damn it! You can't end like this, people are counting on you! Damn it, not like this! I was the one who were suppose to die in this fight, not you!

A: Tsunade, didn't you say this would work, huh? Huh!

Tsunade: I...

?: Oi... what is everyone crying about... Sasuke...

Sasuke: !! I... I...

A: ?!

Sasuke: Naruto.. You're alive?!

Naruto: I'll manage, ugh... You cry baby...

Sasuke: You really are...

Naruto: Oi... Sasuke... Not so hard, I can't breath.

Jiraiya: Dad!!!

[...]

Naruto: So you're not done after all...

Tobi: You think I would go down that easily!!

Sasuke: Naruto... I'm completely out... Can I count on you to deal with this one?

Naruto: Yeah...

[...]

Sasuke: He's aiming for Naruto!! I got to stop him!

Tobi: This is the end!

Naruto: Ugh... I got to stand up, stupid legs move!

[...]

Naruto: ?!!

Tobi: ...

Naruto: Sa-... Why?!

Sasuke: Ugh... Somebody has to protect your weak ass after all, scaredy cat... Heh, ugh...

[...]

Naruto: Sasuke I... I couldn't save Killerbee... And now...

[...]

Naruto: Tooooooooobi!!!!!!

Tobi: One down... One to go.

[...]

Onoki: Is he going to use...??

Naruto: I will beat you no matter what to end the chain of pain and hatred you have brought upon this world!

[...]

Naruto: *Pant* Pant*... I call it, the Super Nova Element!

Tobi: It can't be?!

Naruto: With this technique... My ultimate jutsu... I will finish you off, once and for all!

[...]

Naruto: This time, there won't be another battle!

Tobi: !!

Naruto: With my newly developed jutsu, you will die... Take this!!!

Tobi: Im-possi-ble-...!!!!!!!

[...]

Naruto: It is finally over...

[...]

Sakura: !!

Shikamaru: Impossible?!

Tsunade: How can it be??

Kurotsuchi: Sasuke?!

Sasuke: I'm... Alive?

Tsunade: What just happened? You just died?! Your heart had definitely stopped!

Sasuke: I... I... Don't know.

Shikamaru: What did you just do, Naruto?? How did you?!

Naruto: The Jubi's power are just unimaginable...

[...]

Naruto: It's worth a try!

Mei: I'm speech-less...

A: Brother?! You're alive!

Killerbee: What's happening? Where are we? I was... Dead??

Shikamaru: I don't know how you pulled that off Naruto, but it seems like-...

Onoki: He's become a god!

[...]

Black Zetsu: ...

White Zetsu: He lost... But what an insane battle!

Black Zetsu: I don't think we'll be able to bring him back this time...

White Zetsu: So... What do we do now?

Black Zetsu: Find Kabuto...

[...]

Gai: Kakashi, your eye?!

Kakashi: Ugh... I-ll... mana-ge... It's not the first eye I lose...

Akashi: Is that all the two of you got?!! Come on! Take this!

[...]

Kakashi: Gai, you aren't thinking what I think you are?! You can't, it will kill you for sure!

Gai: The current situation gives us little choice. If this works out, at least you'll get out of here alive.

Kakashi: Just hang on a minute, you can't do this!!

Gai: I have to... I'm sorry Kakashi.

[...]

Gai: 6th Gate, Gate of View - Open!

[...]

Gai: Take this, Mourning Peacock!

Akashi: Ugh!!

[...]

Gai: 7th Gate, Gate of Wonder - Open! Afternoon Tiger!

Akashi: It-...Can't-...Be??!

[...]

Gai: Take this! Evening Phoenix!

[...]

Gai: And finally... *Pant* I will end this now, with this final attack.

Kakashi: Wait!!! Gai, you can't do this! Don'-t!

[...]

Gai: 8th Gate, Gate of Death - Open!!!

Akashi: Wh-at?! It... Can't...

Gai: Midnight Dragon!

[...]

Ryu: What is it that you're looking for anyways? What's so special about this cave?

Kabuto: You will have to wait and see...

Nobunaga: This is no ordinary cave is it... This is some sort of a hideout I bet.

[...]

Kabuto: *Smirk* Seems like... Naruto and Sasuke succeeded...

[...]

Spy: Why the distant look on your face?

Kabuto: It's something else... Akashi.

Ryu: What, has he won already?

Kabuto: No... Seems more like he's been beaten.

Nobunaga: Oh really?? I thought he was unbeatable with his regeneration technique?

[...]

Kabuto: He has done his part of the job, I don't really need him anymore.

Nobunaga: But he's a strong ally! Shouldn't we...

Kabuto: No... He was only meant as distraction at this point anyway... I won't be needing him anymore, so I might as well... Release!

[...]

Kakashi: There's... No way?! Your body... Your body should ha-ve...

Akashi: Seems like you're about to join your friend now, brother! Bwuhaha, ahahaha!

[...]

Akashi: Die!!!

Kakashi: ...

?/?: Rasengan!!/Chidori!!

Akashi: ?!

[...]

Naruto: His binding-seal?

Sasuke: !!... It's disappearing...

Akashi: I-... Huh... Where is-... Who...

[...]

Kakashi: Gai, he-...

Naruto: Let's try this...

[...]

Kakashi: I can't believe this... Gai?!

Gai: Where-... What-... How-... Kakashi??

Rock Lee: Gai-Sensei?!! But you were definitely...

[...]

Akashi: Kakashi... Brother... I'm sorry...

Gaara: You can catch up later, for now, we need to track Kabuto down.

Naruto: You're right. We should move, the location isn't far from here. Kabuto... We're coming!

[...]

Naruto: Kabuto...

Kabuto: Oh, it's Naruto-Kun and his mindless followers... So this means that I was right, that you and Sasuke-kun did indeed manage to deal with Tobi after all... How convenient.

Naruto: You're... You're an Earth Clone...

[...]

Kabuto: I'm willing to let you, and three of your friends pass through the barrier behind me and into the hideout...

Naruto: ...

[...]

Sasuke: Nobunaga...

Nobunaga: I'm glad you people showed... Though I must say that I thought it only would be you Naruto... Did Kabuto just let more people in??...

[...]

Nobunaga: I wouldn't do that if I were you. Charging in like that is not going to do anything, you pathetic fool... You won't defeat me that easily. Besides, if you don't hurry up, Kabuto will complete his ritual...

Gaara: What ritual?

Nobunaga: The resurrection ritual of course!!

Naruto: What?! Of whom?

Nobunaga: You can take a quick guess...

Naruto: No way, it can't be?? That's impossible!

Nobunaga: Not for Kabuto, that is!

[...]

Killerbee: I'll take out this dude, you guys go on... Nobody disses down on my friends, nobody...

[...]

Naruto: You got to be kidding with me... Is this why Kabuto wanted me to bring three people with me through the barrier?

Sasuke: Seems like he want us to fight one on one... But why?

Ryu: So you have arrived...

[...]

Gaara: If you say so... I'll fight you!

Ryu: Bring it...

[...]

Naruto: !!

Sasuke: Sui-...Suigetsu?! What are you doing here!!

Suigetsu: Hah, I'm surprised, Sasuke... Isn't it obvious?

[...]

Sasuke: Naruto, you will have to go on and deal with Kabuto; I'll deal with Suigetsu myself!

[...]

Naruto: Kabuto!!

Kabuto: Naruto-Kun...

[...]

Kabuto: Like I said earlier... This is the Cave of Ordeals... The final resting place of the Sage of Six Paths himself... This is where he was buried, anyways...

Naruto: Nobunaga... What he told us... Is it true then? Are you really planning on resurrecting the Sage of Six Paths himself?!

Kabuto: *Smirk*

[...]

Naruto: So you still had some more Edo Tensei after all...

Kabuto: What can I say, I lied... But it was not far from the truth. These are the last ones, I promise you, *Smirk.*

[...]

Kabuto: Let's start from left to right, shall we? Introducing first, he's the eternal rival of the Legendary Uchiha Madara, the co-founder- and the 1st Hokage of Konoha... Behold! Hashirama Senju!

[...]

Kabuto: But there's more! What good is Hashirama without his closest friend and brother?! Yes, you've guessed it right, the 2nd Hokage of Konoha, Tobirama Senju!

[...]

Kabuto: And now, introducing the God of Shinobi, the one, the only, the 3rd Hokage of Konoha, Hiruzen Sarutobi!

[...]

Kabuto: And the next one is a bit more intriguing, *Smirk*... Let's see... A man who does not really need an introduction... He's the Yellow Flash of Konoha, the 4th Hokage, and yours truly, Minato Namikaze, your father!!!

Naruto: !!

[...]

Kabuto: Speechless so soon? Aren't you happy to see your father, mother and your old sensei again!! Kehehehe, Ahahahaha!

[...]

Kabuto: And speaking of Madara and Orochimaru!

Naruto: This is not real, I...

[...]

Kabuto: This is it Naruto, prepare yourself!!

Naruto: ?!

[...]

Gaara: So you managed to overcome your foe as well I see...

Killerbee: Hell to the yes, without any mess!

[...]

Yamato: What's happening??

Kakashi: This chakra!! Kabuto?!

Yamato: What is he doing here?!

Kakashi: Another clone...

Kabuto: *Smirk* Kehehe, well spotted Kakashi...

Kakashi: He's... Another coffin?!

Yamato: Watch out!

Kakashi: Wind Style??!

[...]

Akashi: Kakashi, you need to remove these from my arms... I won't be able to fight with them on...

Kakashi: ...

Hiruzen: Are you going to fight with us?!

[...]

Kabuto: So you've already laid a plan then... Guess we should get this battle going.

Kakashi: There's no way-...

Kabuto: I give you, Sakumo Hatake!

Sakumo: So fate has brought us together once more Kakashi, my son... And this must be...

Akashi: ?!

[...]

Kabuto: No point hiding up there, come down already! I've brought a present, *Smirk.*

Onoki: ?! It's-... What is he doing here at the headquarter, I thought he was-...

Kabuto: I guess you already know most of these guys, if you know your history alright, but let's run a quick reminder, shall we? The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Kazekage of Suna, the 1st and 3rd Mizukage of Kiri, the 1st Tsuchikage of Iwa, and finally, the 1st and 2nd Raikage of Kumo!

[...]

Suigetsu: You will not destroy my dream!!! Sasuuuuuuuke!!!!!

Sasuke: Humph...

Suigetsu: Ugh!... So you-... Had the guts after all...

[...]

Akashi: It's... Alright, *Cough,* *Cough.* At least we got to know each other in the end... Thank you for saving me-... From Kabuto's... Grasp... Thank you for-... Redeeming me in the end... Brother...

Kakashi: Akashi, I...

Akashi: I suppose-... This is what true feelings can... *Cough* *Cough,* awaken... Brother... It would be a waste not to-... I'm dead anyways, take my newly gained Mangekyo Sharingan... *Cough.* Consider it to be... My parting gift to you...

[...]

Hiruzen: The Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan?!

Kakashi: This ends now! Kamui!

[...]

Kakashi: Father I couldn't protect him, I'm so sorry, I-...

Sakumo: You did what you could... It is over now son.

Kakashi: I will free your soul from this curse dad, I give you my word!

Sakumo: Until then...

[...]

Kabuto: Prepare yourself for the challenge of your life Naruto, tremble in fear before his might! I give you- Uzumaki Naruto, the Sage of Six Paths!

Naruto: !!

"So it has come to this..."

[...]

Kabuto: No, stop!!! Please!!

Naruto: ?!

Kabuto: I... Just... Please don't... I don't want to... Die... I'm... lost, I... Can't... It can't... End like this... This is not... My destiny... Naruto-Kun, please...

Naruto: ...

Kabuto: I... I... I-... Give... I give up... You win... There is no way beating you now... I can't... I just want to... Go home... I acknowledge your Ninja Way, Naruto-Kun... I surrender to you...

Naruto: ... I accept your surrender.

[...]

Hiruzen: So the day has finally come brother...

Jiraiya: Heh, that's the first time I hear you call me that Hiruzen... But indeed, you are like a brother to me too.

Mito: Are you exited?

Jiraiya: Hell yeah! Of course I am, haha! But more importantly, are the two of you ready to become my advisers?

[...]

Naruto: The day has come son... Are you ready?

Jiraiya: Yeah...

Naruto: Then let's begin the Hokage-ceremony!

[...]

Jiraiya: The winner of this match, Uzumaki-Uchiha Minato! From this day forward, you can call yourself... The 8th Hokage son, happy birthday!

[...]

Minato: We... Are The Legacy of THE LEGENDARY SAGE OF KONOHA!!

[...]

Black Zetsu: This is it...

White Zetsu: Ah-ha!!

Jiraiya: ?!

Minato: No, it can't be?!

[...]

White Zetsu: Welcome back!

Tobi: Finally...

[...]

Tobi: *Cough, Cough.* Who are they??

White Zetsu: They are Jiraiya and Minato...

Black Zetsu: The legacy of Naruto... His son and grandson in fact.

Tobi: ...

White Zetsu: It really has been awhile since then...

Tobi: How long?

Black Zetsu: 40 years...

Tobi: Hmm...

[...]

White Zetsu: They are the 7th and the 8th Hokages of Konoha as well...

Tobi: ...

Black Zetsu: They fell straight into our trap to resurrect you though, just as planned...

Tobi: Excellent...

Black Zetsu: This is however the last time you can be revived through this technique... If it hadn't been for Naruto's rather unusual offspring's DNA, we would never have been able to resurrect you with just these two...

Tobi: You have proven your worth Zetsu, well done.

White Zetsu: What would you do with them??

Tobi: Kill them.

[...]

Naruto: Tobi...

Tobi: You?!

Naruto: Even if 40 years have passed, you still look the same. Evil incarnated!

Tobi: You look old...

Naruto: Let's finish this, once and for all!

Tobi: ?!

Naruto: Death Reaper Soul Pulverization Seal!!

Tobi: What?!

White Zetsu: ?!

Jiraiya: Dad!!

Minato: What type of Reaper Death Seal was that?!

White Zetsu: What the hell?!

Naruto: You're next...

White Zetsu: !!

Black Zetsu: What... Is... This... Trickery?!

Naruto: Sennin-Bijou Mode and Super Nova Element Collaboration; All elements of the universe total mass planetary destruction and annihilation, bringer of rain and death, instant pulverization at microscopic level, Sage of Six Paths reincarnation, Peace at last no Jutsu!

[...]

Ikari: Then you won?!

Naruto the 2nd: Maybe... I honestly can't remember anymore...

Ikari: What?! But that was the climax of this whole story?! How can you end it like this?!

Naruto the 2nd: Oh, but it is not over yet...

Ikari: ...So there are more stories to be told?

Naruto the 2nd: Only the future knows what's in store for us all... Come, help your old great great grandfather to bed, it is time for my sleep.

The dark clouds carried heavy black rain with them, and they had already gathered themselves on the skies above, just about to let loose on the silent earth resting underneath. The landscape below was filled with nothing more than some steep mountain slopes, a few lonely trees, and a dark lifeless pond. A thunderstorm had also begun roaring and several thunderbolts struck down towards the ground just as the rain began to pour down from the dark clouds above. On the ground, a rumbling wormhole suddenly opened up in the air beside one of the burning trees that had been lit on fire by one of the thunderbolts previously hitting the ground, as a blue-eyed man in his early 30s, suddenly got tossed out on the ground with the hole quickly closing in behind him. He had blond spiky-hair, a green uniform, but more importantly than anything else, he had a determined look on his face. Getting up to his feet, the man looked around, scanning the environment he now found himself stranded in.

"This place... It feels so distant, yet so familiar. Where could this be, or better yet, when?"

Walking a few steps forward as he brushed off the remaining dust on his clothes, the man stopped by the pond of water laying in front of him as he gazed upon his own reflection in its shiny surface.

"Seems like I made it, just like he said huh."

Mumbling some words, the man did not manage to think through the situation properly as the sky above suddenly split open up and a large obstacle came crashing down towards the ground just 100 meters away from him.

"A meteorite?! No, it's definitely something else..."

Hurrying over to the large obstacle in front of him, the man paid close attention as he looked down the crater that had been created by its impact with the earth. As the smoke finally settled, he was just about to take a closer inspection when a small piercing sound could be heard and a door suddenly got busted open from what seemed to be some sort of a spacecraft. Readying his defenses, the man watched as a powerful presence filled the air, and a man wearing a long brown robe, covering his identity from the world with a hood dragged over his head, stepped outside, touching ground as he approached the astonished man witnessing the scene. Walking all the way up to his face, the mysterious being suddenly halted only a meter away, as only his green eyes could be seen from beneath his hood.

"Is this... Earth??"

Speaking his first words, the mysterious being seemed calm, yet resolute, as the man looked at him with an uneased expression on his face. Gathering his thoughts, he then came up with the only answer he could think of.

"Y-es?? And you are??"

Looking at him, a smile formed on the mysterious being's face as he reached up to his head with both his hands to slowly remove the hood that he was hiding underneath. As he finally revealed his identity to him, the man immediately got the feeling that this was someone he knew he would have to approach with full precaution.

"My name... is Revan, and I am looking for someone."

Final Words;

It took 4 years, but now I can finally say that this Series is done. However, despite TLSoK coming to a conclusion, doesn't that mean I'm done as a writer. Not at all really! This Series is only one part of my big "One Universe Timeline" project, where I still have many other stories to tell. Last year I released the One-Shot about Link, next one on the list is the one about the SoSP, as well as some others. I don't know when my next release will be as for the first time in awhile, I haven't started on a new story yet. Anyways, here's a quick sum up on what I have in store for 2014-2015 here on the Base, as well as how my Timeline will eventually line up:

* The Legendary Sage of Konoha (2010-2014) - Finished.

I loved the series. Sorry to see it end. I got a little confused with the flashbacks at the end after Ikari's story was finished. Was that supposed to be Naruto having gone back in the past living through everything again or were you just showcasing some of his flashbacks?

I got teary eyed when Bruce died even though I knew it was coming at some point. The fact that Akuma said that Ikari and Ibuki must live foreshadowed it. Yay, one of my guesses was right. You got the emotions right the too. There is a lot of guilt when someone commits suicide and you could tell Ikari had a hard time deciding what to do. Whether or not he should confirm being alive by being with Ibuki or reject what he really wanted out of respect and love for Bruce. Death even in the most benevolent of circumstances can cause guilt, suicide can make it far worse.

I loved the final scene at the museum. Got teary eyed again. It was a great final touch. I'm looking forward to Revan's story.

Thanks Trea =) It has indeed been a long and wonderful journey to get here I suppose, but in the end, I guess it was all worth it. In truth, even though I'm a bit relentless to see it all finally come to an end, I'm also kind of relieved. Relieved that I was able to keep my promise both to myself and my most avid readers, that I one day would see this Series to an end instead of leaving it halfly finished. That, and the fact that I'm finally able to proceed to something totally new, at long last.

It was suppose to be a "credit scene" showing of the entire TLSoK Series "best" moments ;) So no, it was not a flashback. It wasn't part of the story per say. That thing on the end with Naruto landing back in time though, that was basically a taste of what to come, but it also functioned as a cliffhanger/after credit scene.

That was part of the foreshadowing yes, as well as the fact that Ikari needed Ibuki to be alive to kind of be able to live with himself after the war ended. I'm surprised you remember that detail from Akuma's letter :p

Hehe thanks =) I kind of felt that I had to have this one last scene portraying how everything turned out in the end for Ikari an Ibuki, and this was it. Even though the chapter really only was about as lengthy as half of this thread, it still served to end this Series nicely. Thank you for sticking through with me to the end Trea =) You've been one of my most surprising and loyal readers as of the final stage of this Series ^__^

Also one more thing... At the end I revealed my upcoming projects... As of now, the Revan's story will be out first before the one about SoSP. I'm even almost done with the first chapter of it. Be sure to look for it in the not too distant future! ;)

This is a great story. It saddens me to see it end but alas all things come to an end.

This chapter was quite short. It was a good idea to take fragments of the entire story and place them here, it helps us remember this great story.

Sennin-Bijou Mode and Super Nova Element Collaboration; All elements of the universe total mass planetary destruction and annihilation, bringer of rain and death, instant pulverization at microscopic level, Sage of Six Paths reincarnation, Peace at last no Jutsu!

This glorious jutsu shall be remembered for all eternity.

Indeed, like everything should eventually. In the end, I'm satisfied with how it all turned out, even if I often times wanted to end the story prematurely all together.

So you both understood and liked that part? Great :p I always knew this chapter was going to end up short compared to the other parts, however, I always had in mind to do some sort of a "lookback" run at the end of this part ever since I got the idea of doing so not long ago. At first I was thinking of including scenes from the entire Naruto manga as well, but I quickly figured out that it would be best to simply focus on my own Series' moments instead. One of the reasons being that the Naruto Manga isn't done yet, and another that it would take too much time to do the necessary research as well as taking up too much space together with all the rest I was including.

Haha, thanks for sticking around to the end Bro. I couldn't have done this without you loyal readers, that is for sure! ;) Please look ahead to the future to see what else I will have in store later on! ^__^

Finally sat down and read this, I couldn't have imagined a better end for TLSoK series :)

We didn't hear much of the Rai clan after the bit where their village was under construction but the focus then was on the effects Bruce's suicide had on Ibuki and Ikari. It's sad that happened but it also brought them back together, and as you mentioned in the story - the Senju clan is now one with the Namikaze clan since Makar is the only living Senju. I'm wondering what the reason you mentioned that was, since chakra is disappearing anyway and clans shouldn't matter anymore. Anyway, I'm glad everything worked out in the end even if Bruce couldn't be part of it.

After reading that you'd write the SoSP story next and finishing the "Revan's arrival scene" I was gonna voice disapproval of teasing but you mentioned in a comment Revan's story was actually next =D So nice save!

Glad you did =p I suppose some of what I said in my reply to you on Part 5 made some sense now? Especially the part of the entire Series getting a sum up at the end as part of a "larger flashback." Like I mentioned above, I found it fitting to end it like this, even if only half of the chapter was "new" story/plot, glad you thought so as well ^_^

Indeed, It basically served as a pointer towards the Land of Fire expanding and the two of them (and their villages) continuing to cooperate for the many years to come, and thus, putting the final nail in the coffin of any potential uprising.

Yeah, I had in fact planned the plot to go that way (Ikari and Ibuki breaking up, Bruce falling into a coma, him waking up and him ending his life) pretty early on in the story, but I never thought I would "enjoy" the way it turned out and how well it sort of fitted in the end, despite his sad departure to the afterlife. In the end though I guess, Ikari and Ibuki were always meant for each other.

It was basically a plot-device to make reference to Sasuke and the Uchiha Clan, not really more than that. Besides, it was a fact easy to "forget" about unless I threw it out there.

Haha, yeah I understand that. In truth I only put it that way because I've been postponing the Sage Fic ever since I was writing Returns of TLSoK. Now, one sequel, one Series Finale and one One-Shot of a completely different work later, I'm still having it on hold. I thought it was only fair that I finally went on to do it, but then, like most times before, the urge to write something else was stronger. In fact, I'm already done with chapter 1 of 3 in total for it ;) Going to be quite short though by my standards, but I suppose some people on NB would still call it "too long to read," haha xP I don't know when I'll release it, but most likely I'll finish the one about the Sage, as well as another project of mine first before releasing anything. I like how you especially noticed that last "preview/taste of what to come," as not many have commented that fact so far as of yet.

In total, I have it pictured like this;

* The Forgotten Tale: A Link Through Time (Revan) - 3 chapters

* The Legendary Sage of Six Paths - 6 Chapters

* Recollection of the Past: [Last part secret] - 3 chapters.

And they'll all be quite short too so shouldn't take to long. For example, the 1st chapter of A Link Through Time took me like two hours to write instead of my usual 10 hours per chapter.

Oh and another thing, I'm also currently working on a collaboration fic for a Western (my first work outside the Master Timeline). Be sure to check that one out as well once it arrives!

That was really nice for Naruto to pass down that airloom :) So Naruto has finally embarked on his greatest and final mission! I liked the temporary Kage representatives ^^ It was also nice for the Rai Clan to finally get their piece of land that would be peaceful from there on out :) I think I know who’ll be the Kage of that land *cough* Raikiru *cough* *cough* lol And he would definitely make a great Kage =D I was wondering when you shift over to Bruce but I had no idea that you’d decide for his character to wake up ^^ I did forget that Bruce would have to deal with his losses and now he is paralyzed, apparently for good! I just didn’t expect the aftermath of this war to impact Bruce as hard as it had but it’s completely understandable and I wonder if he can snap out of it. I knew Raikiru would be the choice for Kage of his new village :) I definitely thought the name Ikari thought up for the new village to be epic! =D However, the name for the Kage title was pretty awful XD Hopefully the finalized Kage title will be better much lol I liked the Kage Memorial Museum that Ikari set into motion :) I’m shocked that Bruce decided to take his own life. I thought perhaps he might fall into darkness instead but this I didn’t see coming! I’m glad you finally gave an age to Ikari as I wasn’t too sure how old he was currently lol I had a feeling that Ibuki and Ikari would end up together again. I was glad to hear about Ikari’s son’s age as well :) I didn’t like how Ibuki and Ikari acted right after Bruce’s death. I mean, they couldn’t wait to get it on and Ibuki is even worse being such a bed hopper -_- They both needed to grieve but not at all like that and at least a fair amount of time should’ve past before ever coming to this type of conclusion. And now his very young son got caught up in it eek! Wow, what a shocking timeskip! So not only do Ikari and Ibuki get back together and wed but also have a child! Your story had a really heartwarming ending and this was much shorter than I would’ve expected. I can’t believe that this great and long story has finally come to an end! It was a very wonderful ride ;)

Okay, after scrolling the music video I see more dialogue so could this possibly be some sort of continuation? I suppose I’ll have to read on to find out lol Well I see that this was some sort of recap with commentary over the many different parts of your story :) I think this was a nice touch. Well, I thought the last part of this story was the real ending with Naruto finally meeting Revan and I liked that you did that =D

Oh boy, where do I start? =p

One of the things that I felt missing with this chapter, was reviews that actually dug deep into it, and yes, that heirloom was something I found fitting to include at the end while writing. In a sense, I had already forgotten about it, so I might need to incorporate it again some where, hmmmm....

Lmao, Ikari sure liked to joke around eh. I don't even remember at this point if I actually came up with an original title for that Village's Kage? Damn, it really feels like it's been ages since I wrote this thing...

The museum was something I put a lot of work into, even that final scene with Ikari's family at the museum helped set up some things for future installments of the Timeline. In fact, those three shiny objects at the end was suppose to play a part somewhere, but at this point, I'm not sure anymore how I'll deal with them. Might have to incorporate them in my Sage Series now that I think about it.

Ikari and Ibuki, that was sure intense, unexpected, and a little mind blowing huh? XD

I don't know how to reason with Ibuki's choice at this point, but I'm sure I would have had a proper answer to it back then. It was sure thrilling to write though! :p

Yep, the recap credits... I think that was a nice addition personally, and it was actually something I came up with after the chapter was done (most likely due to its short length I imagine).

As for Naruto meeting Revan, be sure to check The Forgotten Tale: A Link Through Time out! ;D

Nevertheless, I thought you’ve done exceptionally well with remembering specific things and the heirloom is a very minor thing-don’t worry too much about it. And if it still bothers you, I’m sure you’ll be able to incorporate once again flawlessly ;)

lol well it’s been four years of work on this series so surely there would be things you might not remember.

Yeah, it did seem like you part a lot of thought into the museum. And it’s interesting you stated that the Ikari family scene in the end paved some roads for upcoming installments :) The three objects was pretty peculiar. I’m guessing something Zelda related and I’m sure you’ll be able to incorporate them somehow if you decide to do so ;)

Yes, the Ibuki and Ikari rekindled scene was pretty explosive lol I see, well I suppose that’s just how she was, good natured on the outside but wild once she loosens up.

Yeah, the recap I thought might’ve been to add more to the length but nevertheless it was definitely a nice touch ^^

I will definitely be checking that out as soon as I can ;)

Yeah, we shall see indeed. Not sure though at this point.

In a way you are correct. I think it was more of a reference to the Zelda One-Shot than anything else, but I've already laid out a plan to incorporate it again thanks to you ;)

Haha, I guess you could say so xP
