I think people are really selling Kankuro short here. He was not apointed Captain of the Surprisr Attack Division for nothing. Mother and Father's chakra shield tanks Neji's air palm, as it tanked Iron Sand stakes without a problem. And in CQC Neji won't be able to close the gap with flametrowers, poisoned kunai and senbon attacking him from every direction. Neji can't attack and defend at the same time against projectiles. And I didn't even mentioned poison smoke.

Being practical, NEji loses isn't realistic, because he was a byakugan. And his gentle fist in long range when attAck puppets, because of the chakra string,

Rotation counters most, and he can see chakra, that's the only reason he wins. Poison gas can beat him if he is caught off guard. Which is unlikely because NEji seems smart enough to discern the mechanics of the puppet via x Ray vision.

And I'm all for poison power or hyugga power, but there is no reason for me to be biased lol

he can evade the only real threat, gas bombs & fire scrolls, but it'll take a while.
and kankuros charka shields will be a hindrance. but contrast that w/ nejis speed & efficiency
kankuro only has a fraction of sasoris arsenal & lacks the range, endurance, poison & flight of the latter
but neji doesn't have the chakra control & gross power(mega air palm) of hiashi either

With neji's speed , agility and extra reaction/awareness granted from the byakugan he easily evades karasu or any puppet used for offence while simultaneously cutting their chakra threads without him even knowing Lol

he can also use vacuum palm to get rid of them , threads and puppets , he displayed enough agility as a genin to avoid gettin touched by naruto's clones while surrounded and under attack from all sides , not one could even grab nor touch him

Neji will blitz while simultaneously avoiding all attacks with x-ray vision plus byakugan sensing. With neji's speed he easily closes any distance and will send kankuro flying with air palm , which he cant block since he wont see it comin and will only be aware after he gets his vitals attacked.

No traps or poisons will catch neji at all as he can evade or simply use chakra to block any danger , x-ray plus 360 vision turns this into a stomp low diff win for neji.

U saying kankuro can keep distance from neji is also a bad joke , implyin he fights in similar ways as kidomaru Lol
