I cant remember the color honestly, its been yrs since i experienced sleep paralysis

That's ok. I was just wondering if everybody is witnessing the same shadow figures, then it can't be a matter of individual hallucination. My shadow figures had masks on as well.

People hallucinate different types of figures, and doesn't necessarily have to be a shadow - some people don't hallucinate and all but just experience the paralysis.

The shadows I hallucinated, were just smokey trying to form itself into a body, as it kept floating closer to me.

I have experienced sleep paralysis for the past 3 years. (It doesn't happen every day)

For the first year that I started experiencing sleep paralysis it happened constantly, I'd say it happened 3 times a week, which was a lot of for me because I did not know what was happening to me. When I'm in sleep paralysis I feel like I am being shocked in the head with electricity, and if I panic the only thing I do is intensify the feeling of me being shocked. Apart from feeling electric shocks in my head I can't breath, it's like I'm being chocked by something or some one.

Sleep paralysis is a serious matter because those "shadows" that you saw are really there, you are not hallucinating, believe it or not. Those "shadows" are evil or negative entities who are trying to possess your body.

In most of my sleep paralysis I open my eyes, in one occasion I saw one of those shadows, but it was like it was hiding from my sight of view like it didn't want to be seen. When I had sleep paralysis with the light of my room were turned off, I could always feel like something was watching me. Now I sleep with a tiny light on ... it helps a lot, really. Lol

Ok yeah, you're right. But how do we know for sure they're hallucinations? I think something definitely exists, and sleep paralysis is like a way for us to perceive entities we normally could not.

Nah, that was the only and the last time it happened to me, in the end i just went back to sleep (basically I just closed my eyes) then when I woke up I was able to move normally, maybe it was a dream.....

I've had one very recently, to be honest. In January. I took a nap during the day and found myself having this Sleep paralysis. I hallucinated my black button up Tshirt that was hanging on my Cupboard Door as a dark woman-demon with a black veil....
Later this same apparition came closer to the bed. Like eight next to me.

That last bit scared the Bageezus out of me.

Once when I rented an appartment which my older cousin rented after me. We both had weird experiences there. Feeling watched, sleep paralysis, and sudden chills in mid-summer.

My paralysis was weird. There was a bright blue light in the center of my forehead which I couldn't focus on. It was in the middle of the night, pitch dark so that bright blue light wasn't external. My ears were ringing and the sound was deafening. Then I took a couple of moments to slowly, bit by bit, move my head to the left because I felt exposed.

I think everyone had experienced it at least once or will experience it, probably, from my experience it happens only when you sleep on your back with you hands on your chest, avoid that and you probably won't have it again, or at least that's what I figured.

Sleep paralysis cannot be associated to the means of the paranormal. Although a lot of religious people have felt that it could be an incubus or succubus doing the dirty deed. The hallucinations are most likely caused by the sudden high blood pressure in the brain and the change in the visual or auditory cortex.

Associate that with paralysis, fear is then experienced and thus the malevolent entities appear.
