He didn't really have any connection to the main characters. Pain killed Jiraiya, Obito killed Minato and Kushina, but Madara never killed anyone important before fighting naruto.

What connection does Orochimaru have to the main characters? What connection does Kabuto to the main characters? You dont need connections to the main character to be a good character, Tobirama doesn't have any connections neither does Hashirama yet they're great characters.

And about the second part, there is no BlackZetsuBase, it is just Madara haters who post the betrayal of BZ whenever a Madara fan posts something.

Orochimaru wants sasuke's powers, and is pretty much the only person Naruto ever said he would Kill. Kabuto turned evil after helping team 7 in the forest of death. You don't need connections to the main character to be a good character, just to be a relevant villain after Orochimaru, Pain and Obito.

And there is such thing as a black zetsu fan. Even if i do call him Kaguya's Sleevebrain.

Probably Juubi Jin, since Bijuus are known for regenerative abilities. Don't think we've seen Hashirama's Forest Sage Mode do any healing.
