hella confused (**** SPOILERS****)

I watch & read Tokyo Ghoul I have a few questions hopefully someone can help me with.

1. Did Kaneki eat his best friend Hide when they were in the sewer?

2. What happened to Kaneki after he got his eyes stabbed out.

3. Who is Sasaki? I mean I know he is a 1st class ghoul investigator. But I also saw Kaneki in Sasaki like Rize was once in Kaneki.

2/ Arima basically killed him and took him with him, the CCG turned him into an investigator and erased his memories.
3/ Sasaki is the name they gave him. Sasaki is Kaneki.

1. well for me i think Hide got eaten by ken simply because ken was restored from his injuries after you se hide disappear and ken had a sweet taste in his mouth so what does that tell you ?

2. who knows why dont you finish reading tokyo ghoul re part 2 to find out theres a surprise wink wink

1 was the only one answered incorrectly by people in this thread. There was no confirmation that Hide was eaten by Kaneki back then, those are just mere interpretations. To tell you my version of the story, usually when a seinen author, especially one as good as Ishida, doesn't show a character plain dead or say it via another character it's most likely because, ... well... he isn't. We'll have to wait and see, but I'm 90% sure that Hide is still alive.

I doubt Kaneki ate Hide, because if he did it would have been shown on panel. The fact that it is not panel suggests there is more to it than that. Kaneki may have taken a bite out of Hide though.

As for where Hide actually is I have a feeling that ether Hide has always been working with Perriot or Perriot captured Hide and made him into a member after Kaneki left him on the border of life/death from taking a bite out of him. I could see Perriot wanting to use Hide to push Kaneki further into despair, right when Kaneki starts getting comfortable at the CCG
