Yes you are right, it's not in Naruto's nature to kill people. The only person I can think of is that guy from the Sand, who Itachi used to imitate himself, but even then we don't know he might have already been dead. Naruto dealt a fatal blow to Kakuzu but like I said it's not in his nature to kill.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but you do know that all the tnj in the series is completely contrived, right? The only reason naruto could tnj nagato was because of the jiraiya connection, and the only way he could tnj obito is because he was basically a naruto clone. What if Nagato didn't have any connection to Jiraiya and he killed all the people he did and destroyed the village, Naruto would have no way to tnj him because there's no connection. Tnj was a copout so everyone could be revived. Naruto can only connect with people who are like him or have some kind of connection to him, that's the reason Kishimoto made the villains people who could be talked out of lifelong goals.

The thing is, a connection like that exists between everyone. Even Madara lamented in the end.

This is why I believe his ability to "connect" with people is superficial. This is also why I believe Kishimoto never really challenged Naruto. Imagine if Akatsuki was a real terrorist organization, and they believed in what they were doing as much as say Al-Qaeda or ISIS and Obito was a fanatic could Naruto tnj him then? Or would he have to learn that no matter how much you believe in the good in people you can't save/understand/connect with them all, and some have to be put down for the greater good.

That is the whole point Kishi is trying to make. No 1 is 100% evil or 100% committed to evil. It's all circumstantial. Therefore TnJ is a real weapon. Who is the real world does this just for the sake of pure hatred? Very few. Most bad people have their own reasons - be they rational or not

I think my overall point still stands tho, that if Naruto had to face people who wholeheartedly believed in what they were doing, and weren't denying themselves or had some kind of connection to him he wouldn't be able to tnj them. Maybe you should read 698 again. Sasuke thought bonds made him weak, and he saw his family in team 7, he was denying his true self, but in deep in his heart he didn't truly believe the stuff he was spouting just like Obito.

Naruto would kill anyone that threatened the peace of this world, however it was different with Sasuke. He actually hurt when he saw Sasuke that way, they shared a bond, a bond that no one could ever understand. That's why Naruto was so determined to save him, it was the purpose for the ending of Part 1/Beginning of Part 2

Sasuke seeing how bonds made him weak, finally understood how they could make someone strong, and hence why Sasuke overall changed during those two chapters.
