Yeah, but does it personally concern or harm you? Killing people is bad. Body pillows and obsessions in general are just sad. But why not fantasize sometimes if it doesn't in any way affect your everyday life?

You're right, that's horrible, but they look human and imagination takes you a long way. Everyone has Fantasies, it's those that take it to the extreme you need to worry about.

Yeah, this. I mean, I have certain types of guys that I find attractive, but they aren't common in my region (heh), and when I see a fictional guy that fits into one of these types, I imagine him as a realistic-looking person, etc. But then again, it's not like it negatively affects my social life, it's more like stress relief sort of thing.

What I meant was, most people keep those fantasies to themselves (not all, but most), and they don't bother "normal" people with them. Do you see them running around with their body pillows shoving them into people's faces? Now that would be harmful... psychologically :|

Besides, unless you have a close person with such sad obsession, why care?

The fact that I'm not close to them doesn't mean I shouldn't care. There are people close to them and I highly doubt they support obsessions with 2D characters when they should have a wife, kids and a normal healthy life.
But w/e I'm not gonna debate about normal and not normal stuff on a thread whose perpose was just for luls.

Again, there is a difference between being obsessed (which I agree is not good, sad, not normal etc) and just having fantasies that don't interfere with reality.

By the way, I've read a lot about people who had real obsession with fictional characters to the point of actual harm to themselves and others. And yeah, those cases are really bad, but they are also often associated with mental disorders.
