Holy f--- SAO is...

Amazing... I just watched the first season and I have to say that it's the most heart warming, touching best anime I've seen so far. I actually think KiritoxAsuna is the best anime couple ever. The chemistry between them is so great. It made me feel completely like crap because I'm a lonely fapper for Naruto and my life is completely a ruin watching them. They are so beautiful.

I'm unsure of watching the second season because I believe it's still ongoing and I don't watch ongoing anime besides Bleach and Fairy Tail, although I read the manga, anyway, actually.

I know most of you all seen SAO, but what's your thoughts on KiritoxAsuna?

The second season should be concluded now. It's been months since it started, and each season is a "new story" so to speak, so it's not like you'll be left on a huge cliff hanger.

SAO II is done for now as they are currently working on the next season. That means if you start now, you'll finish before the next season is up. There are, currently, no new episodes being made so you'll catch up. The season that they're currently working on is supposed to be more action oriented then then second season of SAO II, so I'm looking forward to that

And Kirito and Asuna are cool

No, the 2nd season is not ongoing it was 25 episodes long, 24 if you don't count the recap.

I recommend reading the Novels as well, they are pretty good.

How long is SAO suppose to be going on for? The best anime's don't go for anymore than 2 seasons.

That depends on the popularity, and SAO is very popular in Japan. The current arc in the light novels is going to make up season 3, but as of right now that arc is not finished yet so it might be awhile before we see season 3.

Anyways, the next season is based on the next installment of the SAO Light Novel series. It has been confirmed and greenlit, and I believe it will last at least 14 episodes. Talk has been made about a season after, but those are rumors.

Well, you have Naruto, Bleach, OP and Fairy Tail, all good anime's that are going on for a long time, although Naruto has ended but a new show is suppose to be airing this spring.

I mean like Code Geass, FMA, Death Note, Deadman Wonderland etc are all really great anime's that didn't go on longer than 2 seasons (only Code Geass though).

I don't know. I just don't like keeping up with ongoing anime.

One year after the SAO incident, Kirito is approached by Seijiro Kikuoka from Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Department "VR Division" with a rather peculiar request.

That was an investigation on the "Death Gun" incident that occurred in the gun and steel filled VRMMO called Gun Gale Online (GGO). "Players who are shot by a mysterious avatar with a jet black gun lose their lives even in the real world..." SAO*

The first half of SAO I was good. It was incredibly rushed, but it was definitely enjoyable. The second half was extremely bad, and I haven't seen SAO II because of that. I'd give the show a good 6.5/10. Nothing too special, in my opinion.

Typo.

True, but the second half gave more depth into the chemistry Kirito has with Asuna. It was touching.

Well, still better love story than twilight..

OT: The first half was okay but then it went downhill. Not sure yet if i should watch the secod season.
The one thing i can for sure tell you is that it is far from being the best Anime and there are way better written coupls. Just look out for more Animes and you will see it.

Agreed, as well. I mean into season 2 it isn't SAO anymore, but I mean it's still a good anime.
