Interesting, I knew Gandhi was creepy pervert but I did not know about this. He lived in South Africa for a long time but it seems like he only wanted unity between Europeans and Indians but not blacks. MLK getting inspired by him is quite amusing.

Dr. King took the good that Gandhi did and used it for his own mission of equality.

Ghandi was a rascist who openly insulted lack people with racial slurs(Can't blame the man for only caring about Indian independence though). And most people don't even know MLK actually advocated violence. He had a gun and everything, it was taken away from him when he was arrested though. MLK started preaching all that peace and love nonsense after his house was burned down. (I think both Ghandi and MLK are great though, no one is perfect.

You said "Who wouldn't carry a gun?" Well, how come Malcolm X was known for violence? When he just preached self defense? I remember a quote by him in his autobiography(this was said before he went on a pilgrimage and started believing in unity between whites and blacks instead of separation)"Any man who tells you to love someone who hates you is either a fool, or your enemy. How can you love the man who raped your wives and daughters? Destroyed your homes, separated you from your family, and culture" I don't remember the exact quote but he said something like this, he was throwing shots at MLK at the time I believe.

I'm very aware of his distrainment for blacks, yeah he was flawed but he inspired one of the greatest men in American history to fight for equality. It's a testament to Dr. Kings ability to see the good in all things and people

I mean sure. But MLK just gave credit where credit was due. Do I think he actually liked ghandi? No. There's no way a person fighting for his race could like a person whose against it.

But genius is genius, though Ghandi was helping Indians the same logic can be applied to anything. MLK used it to help my people which is great but your glorifying it into this unrealistic thing. MLK heard what he needed and gave credit.

I know what quote you're talking about. Personally I don't truly believe Malcom X was "violent", but I maybe a little bias because I believe in a "Eye for a Eye" lol. And that's what Malcom X taught as well. But I think people label him violent because MLK had a much more peaceful approach, you know "turn the other cheek"

Though the one story I'm more interested in is King orchestrated his own death. The movement was losing momentum and King was afraid his message would be lost in lack of interest. It's believed King orchestrated his own death so he would live forever as a martyr who died for his cause.

Which is why there's an holiday name after him and it explains on reports on how MLK was acting lately to the day leading up to his deaths.

Those claims you mentioned just now..it's awfully obvious that those were attempts to discredit a man who refused to fall for their trickery. Our rulers thrive when we categorize and bicker amongst each other. MLK brought a change to that and the words he spoke inspired others to seek unity over chaos and distrust.
