Best episode in a while imo..kinda seems like he was trying to remake the whole buggy follwers thing because it worked well for him last time, but i dont mind because they made this god usop scene epic, and they did it better than the manga chapter imo.

The art & animation was pretty mediocre.

I disagree, the manga was MUCH better. Even the buggy stuff wasn't that great compared to the manga. The pacing kills everything.

OT:
The pacing itself kills it when those attacks didn't even take a long time to prepare in the manga. He did dragon breath & fire fist casually. For Dragon breath, you don't even see the arena slowly cracking in the manga, it just gets destroyed instantly. Ofc this is because of the slow pacing but the First fist was done poorly as well IMO.

I don't know it looked much more devastating in the manga than in the anime. Not to mention the animation look awkward. I guess we can only hope for a special. There were some scenes that I liked but the dragon breath & fire fist never lived up to the manga IMO. I'd give this ep. a 3.5/5.

The splitting of the ring part really killed it for me, it made the technique seem weak imo. Is the rest of the episode worth watching?

My grandpa once said, if you meet a person who is the type to always find something to complain about, don't be offended if you are their target. Because one who is always looking for a problem, will most certainly find a problem, even if what they were targeting was flawless.

I quite like it, so i give this 5/5. If i'm only an anime fan, i've regarded this ep as pretty badass.

However, since i read manga too, i can't help but to compare this and that. And this whole moment, is greater in manga version than here in anime. Anime has the advantage to make it more epic like putting some OSTs and the movement etc, too bad there's a certain flaw which lower down the moment quality. The extended scene and long pause, not good, really.

But still, Sabo and Usopp are epic this week. Praise to the animation director whom has improved several particular scenes.

The way the anime did it made a lot more sense and was more entertaining to watch than just stills of instant destruction. That'd be boring and lazy animating.

When Sabo did Dragon Claw it looked like it was sort of wind based.. look at RikerSlade's sig. It's like wind is flowing trough those rocks
Maybe it's like a weaker version of what Dragon did at Loguetown. It also involved wind. Of course it could also just be to animate his attack in a more flashy way which is most likely the case.

I loved this Episode tbh <3

Even though, the pacing was very slow (as usual), I still enjoyed it.
The Sabo and God Usopp scenes were great.

Not really. I would of much preferred if they did it how it was shown in the manga. The scene in your sig. was a nice touch, I'll admit to that but having the others & the announcer react just before the arena was destroyed? Nah. It should of been exactly like this:

Something rather quick.
