Lately, I've been listening a lot to Tool and I love all of their albums. Uh, Sober is endlessly good song.

Uh, Alter Bridge has some good songs. I love this one .

Wolfmother is pretty good.

Nobody said "thrash metal" in the 80s.

I'm well aware, pretty sure nobody called the Melvins and Napalm beach "grunge" either in the early 80's

Slayer are death metal, not thrash.

That's not the point I'm making, clearly slayer triumphs the so called big 4, slayer uses shredding lead guitars mostly, they are still not pinnacles of that genre. Slayer also had nu metal songs in diabolus in musica.

Metallica created thrash metal any ways

No they didn't, the use of low registered guitar riffs, percussive beats were used back in the 70's, typically two songs black sabbath symptom of the universe, queen stone cold crazy, judas priest had a song as well, exciter, so technically they never invented it, the style existed priorly, metallica just grabbed it and made it commercially successful.

Contrary to what's said in the article, metallica is not the best metal band.

Lately, I've been listening a lot to Tool and I love all of their albums. Uh, Sober is endlessly good song. x

Uh, Alter Bridge has some good songs. I love this one x.

Wolfmother is pretty good. x

Thanks

Have you ever heard of indie folk?

It's probably my favorite genre, though most people don't even know it exists. It combines the catchy melodies of indie rock with the acoustical sounds of contemporary folk music. It's lovely, really. I would suggest Bon Iver, The Paper Kites, Noah and the Whale, Of Monsters and Men, Passenger and Vance Joy for starters. Begin the adventure by typing any of these artist onto the youtube search bar and then get lost with the help of the magical sidebar.

I produce Dubstep/Chillstep/Trapstep music, but no where as good as Flume or Avicii or Black Mill.

I have an endless list of music. I only listen to rap and Dubstep/Chillstep/Trapstep. If you want I can PM you everything I have on my iPod and Soundcloud.

I have heard all those artists and many others as well, I'll be honest indie folk is not my cup of tea. Because Indie rock is not something I'm really into, I do like a lot of folk artists tho, like, woody guthrie, leadbelly, judy collins, burl Ives, Fairport convention, bob gibson, eva cassidy and so on.
