It fits him. He's a loner and and all about skill, confronting the problems himself and courage/recklesness. Using clones to do his job is probably beneath him.
He's portrayed as being the exact opposite of Naruto, so it makes sense for Sasuke to never use a clone jutsu. It also symbolises the fact, that, for much of the series, Sasuke was a lone wolf. Btw, the "Clone Jutsu" needed to pass the Genin exams, is not a physical clone jutsu like Shadow Clones, Wood clones etc
Lord Sasuke is a loner. For instance he remarks that Naruto uses Shadow clones to overcome his loneliness so it implies Sasuke doesnt like to use clones for the solo god that he is
1 - Using meant he was on Naruto's level, an idea he hated
2- Has his own style of jutsu that "represents his personality"
3- He would be too overpowered - S/t + Clone = art of solo
4- He would be too overpowered - Rinnegan + Clone = S6P Technique = art of ass whooping

It's hypocritical though since he uses Taka, Orochimaru's curse seal and essence, Itachi's eyes and the edo hokages. But yes, it would fit his personality and be very poetic of Naruto regardless.
@op, I don't really recall he using clones either, though I know he used substitution several times.
The fact the Naruti and Sasuke are meant to be opposite + it does not suit his style.
1) Ever since he reached MS he started using Susanoo and Amaterasu which by themselves drain vision and chakra. Now spamming clones would have put his loss of vision and chakra is accelerated mode. Remember he does not have huge chakra reserves. So his style is to hit a thing with 100 x power rather than hit a thing with 1 x power 100 times.
2) Even before he reached MS, optimum strategy for him , like all sharingan users was not to clones.
Unless a sharingan user has a great chakra pool(Madara after using Hashi's cells) its optimum for him not to make clones
