Madara /Izuna MS

Originally Itachi had stated that Madara stole his brother's eyes for power after they had BOTH awakened MS, in order to obtain new light.

As you can see, Izuna has also awoken his MS, and Madara's eternal MS looks like both their MS combined (as a typical EMS would look). Does this mean Izuna could have awoken his MS?

But in the back story, it is never mentioned how Izuna awoken his MS and he is never seen with it, either.

From what little we have seen of Izuna, the only time we see his MS is when Itachi made up that story as way to convince Sasuke that he was only after power, aka the EMS.

Do both Uchiha have to have obtained MS in order for one of them to have EMS, or is it they can just take their eyes and some how they have EMS even if the other only had sharingan?

Plus these leaves a lot of questions, unanswered

I don't think they both need to have MS for one to awaken EMS, I believe Itachi wanted EMS yet Sasuke didn't posses MS at that point. So it would seem not, although both people who had EMS took MS eyes while having MS...

How did he awaken MS? Also it is only stated he has MS, it was not yet shown, other than from Itachi lying to Sasuke as a means to make him think he was after EMS power, and this was before Sasuke had awakened his MS, Itachi would go on to pretend to take Sasuke's sharingan eyes, not his MS eyes (because he hadn't awoken MS yet). Assuming that taking sharingan eyes would still equal EMS power.

itachi was basicly telling sasuke how to get eternal light after itachi died and sas woke his ms. so him trying to take sasukes 3 tomoe is a fake out.

it didnt say how madara or izuna woke ms. i think itachi told sasuke they killed their freinds lol

Madara awoke his from Izuna's death, and not sure why Itachi would say it was because of killing their best friends, because wasn't Madara's best friend Hashirama?

Izuna did have MS, but Kishi never showed him fighting with it. I'm not sure if the manga even showed Madara with susanoo at MS stages even, so it's probably due to Kishi not wanting to do it.

Hm, I thought about it too. I can't see why it shouldn't be possible to exchange the sets of eyeballs in order to get two sets of EMS. It would've been a giant powerboost for both of them.. and Izuna wouldn't have been killed by this fodder Tobirama.
I think it is possible.. but they didn't know about this whole EMS-thing. Maddy just got blind and Izuna gave his eyes right at his deathbed to his brother in order to protect the Uchiha.
Man.. if only they knew earlier.. the whole history would change.
