Sasuke/Itachi: whats to like....???

Ive noticed that these two characters have the most fans, and the biggest following.
What ive never understood is why, personally i dislike:
-itachi
Because I felt he was manipulated by danzo too easily, that or he should have stayed a villain like in part 1 to be consistent.

-sasuke
Same as above, but its worse because he was swayed by everyone from oro to obito to itachi, hashi and even naruto.

So why do people like these characters so much? Its not about strength, either. Despite the solo king bias and hype, there are tons of stronger characters than these two, such as madara, hashirama, obito, nagato, kabuto etc yet those 5 combined dont have half as many fans as these 2 do.

State what you like, about either sasuke or itachi if your a fan.

Pick whatever one you like, but for all intensive purposes I'm going to say some on Itachi.
His character is really good, he went from this cold blooded brother to a brother who choose to sacrifice his own clan and himself for his brother. Itachi was basically the hero no one knew (hero is probably too strong but I don't know what else to say). His character didn't make too many drastic changes however he did maintain his humor throughout the series (I still laugh at Dr. Snakes joke). Itachi also never really was consumed by his feelings or hatred, which is an excellent contrast to the Uchiha. I feel like Itachi from part 1 to part 2 to edo overall added to his character instead of reshaping it, which really gave him a better light. Really glad how Kishi handled Itachi. Just ignore some of his trolling fans with Totsuka seals your tears sheet.

Not really. Part 1= when naruto was 12 till he left the village to train with jiraiya.

Because if the story was a coin Sasuke would be the main character of the other side. His growth in strength has been one of the most exciting aspects of the manga. And his power-ups are the coolest. I myself am a Naruto and Nagato fan but Sasuke was just as important as Naruto ever since he met Obito.
