I fail to understand why people put 8 Gates Gai in top 10 when 8th gate means tie at best for Gai. Unless you think 7 gates Gai can take out whoever you've put below him? And DMS Kakashi is too temporary to rank imo.

It does technically mean a tie but I myself for example judged them by solely their power. He may die after winning the battle, but he still overpowered the enemy. I hope you catch my meaning.

I agree with the Kakashi one though. It's complicated to rank him because he has not shown THAT many feats while being DMS and his power up is pretty short. He could be outlasted by some guys.

The way it works is that a list is usually based on a character's power, not what that power does to you afterwards. The 8 gates simply makes gai a top 10 fighter.

If that's the way it works then there should definitely be Minato. He can catch anyone with RDS with his FTG (barring the ancients, JJ and Sasuke/Naruto) Hashirama should definitely be below Minato, maybe even Hiruzen. What the power does to you doesn't matter right?
