not only disney though. its the fact that at a very young age already they are depicted as something special. they are rich, i think some of them dont even go to school since they "work" already and make millions etc. they feel special. better than the rest, since they are everywhere, newspapers, tv, cinema, magazines etc....also they are whorshipped by hard core fans...

Yes, true. But in most cases, it always comes back to disney so that's why I used disney as the example

Well, Amanda Bynes had a psychotic break. That's a little different. Child stars are always known for acting wild. In my generation the famous ones were Danny Bonaduce, Dana Plato, River Phoenix, Todd Bridges, Dustin Diamond, and Drew Barrymore. There is a lot of pressure to escape the mold they have been placed in. There have been a number of childhood actors that haven't gone crazy though: Johnny Depp, Leonardo Dicaprio, Jodie Foster, Mandy Moore, Emmanuel Lewis, The Harry Potter kids, Natalie Portman, Mayim Bialik, Christina Applegate, Joseph Gorden Levitt, Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake, Michael J. Fox, Ron Howard, Jennifer Love Hewitt...I don't know, a lot. Not everyone who is a childhood actor becomes Lindsay Lohan.

Edit: That Jonathan Lipnicki kid (From Jerry Maguire) and Franki Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle) both came to mind too. They are musicians, but they lead pretty stand-up lives.
